I guess it depends on its characteristics, for example if your mamo has a dw ability and swinub has it too, then that makes it illegal
I'm just wondering, does a burn lower confusion's self-inflicted damage or does the damage come directly off it's unaltered attack?

Ok, I have downloaded PO, but I have yet to find where I need to go to play the Challenge Cup. Can someone give me a hand here? I feel about as lost as a Charmander in a Gyrados den:(
What's the most efficient way to tell exactly what pokemon and or moves and or abilities one can use in UU? The strategy pokedex can sort by tier, and I have gathered that RU can be used in UU, but what the hell am I supposed to make of the limbo tier? Limbo includes both vileplume and keldeo. It's pretty clear which one I should be able to use in UU buuuuut...
What I'm looking for is just a list. A list that says this is what's legal in UU. I don't want this list to exclude RU pokes and unevolved, and I don't want to have to hunt through voting threads to try and figure out what is banned.
This goes for all the tiers. It would be nice to just have a simple list as the first sticky underneath each tier's forum.

No; Limbo is a "tier" for pokemon that haven't been tiered yet (like 1st stage NFEs and unreleased pokes such as Keldeo).
so I only recently downloaded PO. like a month ago, but I haven't had a chance to use it too much lately. anyway, the import/export thing. i assume that means importing and exporting them to and from your cartridges right? does that mean I can just make a pokemon in the team builder and put in on my White version? or am I way off base?
You can't import from the game, or export to the game. Import means taking someone's export and putting it into your teambuilder.
I was planning on using ninetales, but what hidden power is best on it? I can't decide between fighting and ground? Or is there another better hidden power?
Either is fine. You can use Ground to lure Heatran (very popular in the metagame) or Fighting to batter Tyranitar along with Will-O-Wisp burn.

I'd go with fighting. It's your only hope of beating Tyranitar, and balloon is somewhat common on heatran.
hm...... hp ground does have the advantage with the ivs and can hit tyranitar for SE damage, but then hp fighting is just the opposite but can massively kill tyranitar specifically..... i still cant decice :(
Add Breloom, Haxorus, Dragonite too.
