cool, thanks firestorm!

fighting/dark

weak to: fighting, flying
resists: rock, steel, ghost, dark (4x), psychic (null)

i think i got it all covered, right?
Not steel, but aside from that yes. Just multiply the numbers and you'll get your answer for type matchups.

Use the chart here: http://www.smogon.com/dp/types/

Of course, we don't know for sure if they changed type matchups in Gen V, but I don't think they have.

There were a few rumours, but they're unconfirmed (and personally, I don't think they're very likely): EVs are now gained in multiples of 4, and there are 8 IVs (rather than 6).

From what I've seen, it does not appear there are any new pre or post evolution of the current pokemon, even including luvdisc or tauros. Has this been confirmed?

Thought i would ask this here:

1.I keep checking the new pokemon page in serebii, but i don't see this Rotom everyone is talking about.I also don't see it in the Black/White page..Where is the information about the new Rotoms?

2.Are there evolutions of older Pokemon?Because mamanbou looks exactly like Luvdisc...

so would the total still be 510 (i assume it is)
edit: and I don't see this very likely either
since it would just screw the previous gen pokemons

edit2: well would the maximzed evs still be 252/252?

I've been wondering about that myself. I remember about a month or so ago it was "confirmed" that Mamanbou was the Luvdisc evo and there was definitely going to be a Tauros evo. Buffuron appeared after that. Looking at Buffuron's stats though....looks like its trying to mimic the Porygon family but switching the role of it's evo. I'm also obsessed with the idea that Marakacchi is a branch of of Cacnea's evo tree and that Maggyo is a branch off of Barboach's evo tree.

However I've also been hearing "confirmation" that the 5th gen pokes are in no way, shape, or form related to older gens. It'd make sense being that 5th gen takes place in a land far away from the older gens but how are they gonna make two pokemon that look so similar to older gen and say there is no relation.

My opinion if there really is no relation or there are just 4 evos to older gens like I think then that just means gen 6 is gonna have some new evos. On a side note does Flareon have a decent physical fire attack yet?

The rotom forms change their secondary type from ghost to the type of their exclusive move. i.e., oven = electric/fire, cut = electric/grass, fan = electric flying, etc.

QUESTION #1: anyone know if extremespeed is changing this gen?
in terms of accuracy, power, and such? or is it still going to be a priority move with 80power/100accuracy?

QUESTION #2: How can there be 8 kinds of IVs when there are only 6 different kinds of stats (HP/atk/def/spA/spD/spe)?

So it seems the Dream World is done by linking up to the Pokemon Global Link. Two questions for this: 1) Is the PGL a DSi feature, or is it just the new GTS that you can use with even an old DS? 2) It mentioned something about a website on serebii. Does this mean you have to actually set up an account there, meaning you couldn't use it if you aren't in Japan? (I assume it'd be IP locked by region, hence being in Japan rather than just speaking Japanese.)

1)PGL uses Nintendo WFC.
2)You have to create an account. It is NOT region locked.

My question: Has anyone tested the RNG yet just to see if its done with a similar method as DPPHGSS?

no nobody will until we have all data about the games eg movepools, bst and translation.

With all the change being made just to the entire game in general, is there still any point in transfering RNGed 4th generation pokes over?

There are some Pokemon (like legendaries and Pokemon whose pre-evolved forms don't get moves) who aren't going to get any new Egg moves. So if you don't want to use their dream world abilities, they'll still be just as good as they were in DP.

I'd say so.
Legendaries (most of them) is one category of pokemon I'd keep.
Things like Arceus...well in case of Arceus...he didn't gain anything so if you want to keep arceus go for it since the farceus would be the best/only one of its kind until they release the azure flute.

Anyways does anyone know what the rumore means by 8 kinds of IVs since there are still only 6 kinds of stats? was it just a rumor (i'm betting on it but yeah)
