Resource Ask a simple question get a simple answer: RU edition

Alright, so I've searched all over and still couldn't find a full answer to this: Scrafty is S-rank and I'm curious as to what's the meta set for him? Is it Dragon Dance? What's generally used the most on Scrafty, and what are the common checks/counters to it?
The most common/best set is dragon dance/high jump kick/knock off/poison jab with any item ranging from chople berry, leftovers, or to something like dread plate or fist plate, with shed skin as the ability.

Dragon dance, if you check the speed tiers at +1 it outspeeds about half the meta and at +2 it outspeeds pretty much everything. It has great offensive typing being fighting/dark it gets stab knock off and then stab hjk/drain punch. It also has coverage moves such as poison jab and iron head to deal with fairy mons. The 2 biggest checks/counters are aromatisse and togetic just be careful not to let scrafty get off 2 dd's. Other options are scarf mons such as scarf lee or scarf braivary (there may be more) which can revenge kill it.

Choice Band is another notable set on Scrafty, which functions as a wallbreaker to soften physical walls for partners like Virizion or Tyrantrum. Dragon Dance is probably the most prominent set and the one that most specifically needs to be prepared for, but Band is certainly a threat in its own right.

What is some good stuff to know about Mega Banette? Like, usability, weaknesses, strengths, synergy, etc.
well assuming you already know that the worst thing about it is not being to able to use some other of the incredibly good megas there are in the tier the main strenght it has are its access to Prankster Destiny Bond for a pretty much guaranteed Revenge Kill as well as other status moves and Taunt and Knock Off. I'd say it fits in very well in teams that need a catch all revenge killer as well as something to keep hazards up. For this reason Qwilfish in particular can be considered a good partner (it also comes in easily vs Mola who Banette can't touch to set up Spikes!)

What would be the best fairy check partner for a DD Scrafty?
Qwilfish is a nice one in my opinion since it also checks Fighting-types priority moves and revenge killers + can set up Spikes vs Aromatisse and Taunt and set up on Togetic. Also can grant setup opportunities with Intimidate.

Could Escavalier work
Escavalier is a pretty subpar Pokemon and kinda overlaps in the checking Psychic-type role that Scrafty also accomplishes. However a CB set might do work since it is able to lure and weaken some Scrafty checks such as Qwilfish with Drill Run and obviously heavily damage Fairy types. Not the best choice however

Okay, i'll go with megalix instead. Also, are you saying Escavalier is a subpar poke overall, or just as a partner for Scrafty?

Actually, it is kind of hard to come up with good sneasel checks that doesnt dislike getting its item knocked off, but there are a good couple thankfully:

Durant could work for those 2 since durant appreciates virizion weakening opposing bulky waters, scrafty beats sneasel 1v1 easily and a bulky water on your own like seismitoad can also work. Emboar also deal with it quite well. Qwilfish + thunder wave is also neat.

Steelix is pretty decent, as is nearly any bulky water other than Jellicent. Megalix takes 44% max from Low Kick though so that can be difficult, while no bulky waters *want* to lose leftovers. Rhyperior can work for similar reasons but hates losing lefties - Megalix and Rhyperior are good choices imo because they offer decent offensive synergy through rocks and strong stabs. Mega Audino is probably the most reliable check/counter, but I can't really advocate using Mega Audino - the offensive healing wish set does have decent synergy with that core though.

Like MrAldoPls said, Emboar and Qwilfish can also work really well but I'd say use Ebelt/Charcoal/Life Orb/Band Emboar rather than scarf because losing your sole scarf can be rough to play around, if that's a concern.

Well I already have a mega but rhyperior looks like a decent enough check. Thanks for your help!

Do you guys have a sample teams thread?
There used to be one but it's outdated and pretty much all teams in it contain mons that aren't RU anymore. I want to make a new one but I'd like to have a few teams to display before making it and kinda been lazy lol. I'll see if I can get a few teams or if someone else can make it.

Thanks! I'm asking because the RMT forum has next to nothing for competitive RU teams.

Unfortunately given that RU has lost 8 important mons to UU in the last 3 months, as well as gaining 5 (2 of which have since been banned), RU hasn't really been stable enough for super amazing RMTs to be made. Also slam is starting soon which also makes people want to keep good teams secret. Check out the team building thread if you want a decent team to get in to the RU meta, they usually make 2-3 good ones per week.

What mons are going to drop/rise from RU?

IIRC:

UU to RU:
Nothing really, but Haxorus (Please don't drop, we already dealt with 2 broken dragons we don't need another), Abomasnow and Honchkrow are the 3 lowest Pokemon above the cutoff.

RU to NU:
Gastrodon, Hitmonchan, Shiftry, Skuntank

These aren't really likely, but It'd be cool for NU to at least get SOME new toys that aren't completely broken.

We don't know what's gonna drop/rise, unless you're Antar and you crunch the numbers. Just wait until he posts the update.
