My problem is that I have encountered a player who said very horrible things to me and other players as well. I looked up the showdown rules and the first rule listed is to be nice and polite. Normally I can take insults but when someone goes around telling people to die of various amounts of cancer and kill themselves I think that this is a problem. I viewed other battle this person had and they just keep insulting everyone they play against. Is there a way to report or ban players. I'm not sure if if allowed to post there username so I won't, but if any Smogon officials want me to give their username just ask.
 
PM a staff member (someone with % or @ next to their name) and provide screenshots or a replay, or you could always use the /ignore command.
 
Straight question: suppose there are only 2 users on a server, they look for a ladder battle in the same format, will the battle ever start?
 
For anyone wondering (so people don't ask), Showdown is currently DOWN. I'll edit the post when it's back up. (mod edit: it's back up)

Anyway, my question is will groupchats ever be available to the public again? When you ask in the help room (at least last time i checked), it says that they don't know when (or if) groupchats will be back, but i've asked auth (before the thing was implemented) and they've said that they will be back, but no set time.

Indeed groupchats are reserved to global voice (+) and above for the moment. However it isn't permanent but we still don't know when it will be available for everyone again.
 
Initially, they used to be identical, but afaik they gained a difference around September: Battle Spot Doubles allows non-pentagon Pokemon to be used in the format (which opens the door for event exclusive moves from previous gens, such as Sheer Cold Suicune and Refresh Salamence), while VGC still enforces the pentagon rule.
 
Is there a confirmed date to when the PS! ladder will be reset? At the beginning of OLT, it was said that there would be a reset before and after laddering was done. Is this still going to happen?

There's not a confirmed date of the ladder reset but it should be restarted at the end of OLT, I think it'll happen quite soon, there's not a specific day confirmed though.

There isn't any league in the ps! main server. However you will be able to find some leagues in the other servers.

For the moment there isn't any confirmed date as I know, you should ask this to the OLT auth they could probably help you.
 
Is the Showdown ladder broken for anyone else? I keep getting players who's ranking are 1100-1400 or even new players while I'm in the 1800's and I gain like 1 point just for winning. It's pretty annoying since I can't keep playing games to keep up with the decay of my rank at this rate..

Sometimes depending on the format, you can meet people with a low rank due to a little number of players. It doesn't always happen tho.

Yeah, this is a bug that occurs sometimes lately. I don't know when it'll get fixed but I agree it's rather annoying since you gain, like, 1-2 points from winning and lose 45 from losing. What awu said is true but you shouldn't be matched up with people that far down on the ladder even if there aren't many people on, and sometimes occurs even during peak hours in OU.
 
A few days ago I got a really weird set on Random Battle. I had a Golduck @ Choice Band with the moves Encore / Scald / Ice Beam / Sub on my team. I know it's called Random Battle, but I didn't know it was this random. Is this intended?
 
Guys, the server is down for the moment, I will edit this message when it will be back.

Also Fluke all the sets in randbats have been created for a specific reason. I guess this Golduck set is a kind of lure against special Trick users. (not 100% sure though)
