Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I've been trying competitive singles on and off since ORAS, and the higher tiers always pulled me in with how active they were. I've never got past 1200 on any ladder, even on older accounts, and I wish to improve. I've been struggling with SV's competitive singles scene more than I have with any previous gen, and I believe that I need to try and get into tutoring if I want to improve.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): Been playing on and off competitively since I was a teenager but was never able to reach any impressive heights, a situation touted as "embarrassing" by most. In terms of Smogon I'm a former tier leader and was able to hold my own in older gens but could never grasp the complexities of modern metas. I struggle in most tournaments due to motivation issues, anxiety or simply sucking but on occasion I put on standout performances (I get really lucky). Hoping that a tutor can help make sense of what I'm not seeing and I can finally stop sucking.

I used to ladder a LOT in sm mix and mega back in those days (but unfortunately it's been removed :sob:). I'm mostly an om (mnm being the primary one) main I suppose, and i enjoy similar formats like ndoms (nd nfe, nd aaa, etc). i have taken part in a lot of teamtours (ompl, tpp, otsl etc) and projects in the past so I think I'm at least decent. I'm bored and this tier seems fun so I thought of learning it.

I usually float around 1300~1400 Elo. I think I have a huge problem with identifying win conditions and trying to predict the sets opponents are using. Would love to get better at the game.

I've been drafted in a few team tournaments, notably the previous two Little Cup Premier Leagues as well as Little Cup Winter League (Inagural SV tour) where my team won. I've gotten a few solid results in the tier vs top players, but nothing too exceptional.

I don't know how to explain it but I feel like I'm behind on knowledge compared to my "same-elo peers". ADV peak: 1516, overall peak 1750(?) USUM Ubers during gen 8. Currently playing my first tournament in ADV Revival, where I got playoffs with an overall 6-3 record. (Also sorry I know I barely have any posts but I don't really vibe with forums most of the time)

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I started to use Pokémon showdown around 2018 and have played in various formats at various levels of competitiveness. As of 2022 I have dedicated some time into learning the ins and outs of team building and playstyles. My most successful teams as of late are a Gen8UU bulky offense team with Mandibuzz, Celesteela and Keldeo, a Gen9OU stall team with a Dondozo and Clodsire core and a Gen9RU hyper offense team build around charcoal flame charge eruption Typhlosion. I have had some success with these teams but have never been able to cross 1300ELO. I have never participated in tournaments or other community stuff and really want to, but don't know where to go or how to start.

But, it's been well over 10 years since BW has released and well that knowledge doesn't really formulate to the SV OU or even UU metas. So, I would love to learn and be decent at the game again.

I came back again but then I got burnt out grinding Chien-Pao reqs and later, an acquaintance of mine got me back into comp a couple months later. I'd like somebody to help me with teambuilding and understanding the meta.
