Back to the Basics is a really old-style double-elimination RBY tournament: everything legally obtainable is allowed. That includes Mewtwo (and Mew). That includes Double Team. We're going to battle it out like it's 1999...literally (only with Netbattle instead of the PBS).

Other rules of note:
* Sleep clause must be enabled.
* Self-KO clause must be enabled.
* Species clause is in effect.
* 6-on-6, no Stadium mode (Stadium didn't even come out until 2000).
* No Surf Pikachu/Raichu or Amnesia Golduck, as these were from Stadium.
* PP Ups must be on, unless both players wish to have them off.
* Beyond that, anything goes!

You have until the clock hits midnight EDT on July 15th (that's the transition to July 16th) to get your battles done. I have absolutely no patience for tournament lagging in a 32-man double elimination tournament and if I find you at fault I will see about getting you banned from entering future tournaments.

I suggest using Pokerealm's server. Here are their IP if the registry goes down:

Just beat Warthog in a close game, I was luck I didn't get paraed at the end on my Mewtwo.
 
sorry for disappearing for the 2nd round. i meant to pm spaced back but never got on it, i'm usually reliable >_> (not to mention i'm on netbattle every day and didn't see him once, but it's still my bad for not responding to his pm.

There's a rather serious lack of battles getting done in the losers' bracket here. What's going on with these matches:

My opponent PM'ed me on Tuesday asking for what a good battle time would be. I responded on the same day and he has yet to get back to me. Haven't seen him on NB at all to my knowledge either.

If you take a look at his profile as of this post: "Last Activity: July 10th, 2007 02:01 PM" aka Tuesday when he sent the PM.
 
surgo, we talked about this; im currently on vacation but ill be back either tomorrow or the day after (probably tomorrow... it depends on whether or not there's a problem with our minivan; earlier an engine light came on but it seems to be fine now, so we are going to take it to a nearby dealer in savannah, GA, so it really hinges on that). i havent recieved any reply from darkbolt though, even though i know that he is active. when im back ill battle as soon as possible.

I got really unlucky with a frozen Slowbro, missed an ohko on Chansey by 2% just to have him hit Sing on my Mew and finish it up, gg I guess. D:
