Battle Factory Round Two: (Zhengtann vs. Ragnarokalex)

Ladies and Gentlemen, on this day we come to an epic battle between two of ASB's veterans! However, there's a catch. They will not be using their own pokemon, but rather rental ones. This match will test their knoweledge of battling rather than who bought the best mons or items. In the Red Corner, ZhengTann! And in the Blue Corner, Ragnarokalex!

Ugh, a switch in teams brings so many new factors into the equation... But I think one thing is certain. And that's why you'd be taking the vanguard, Swamprent. Take this Water Gem for those tight spots that you might need.

"HRAAAUGH!"

Well i see an opportunity to be naughty here, so I'll have to take it!

@Iron Ball

Trick - Grass Knot - Grass Knot
IF Protective/evasive Reflect the first, and Calm Mind the 2nd, pushing down each time
IF Mirror Coat when you would Grass Knot, Taunt the first time, and Disable Mirror Coat the 2nd, pushing down each time

Also, could we get the match rules in edited into the OP please?

... And he just tripped it outta your paws. But no worries - I'll just do what I'm planning, which is to pull a leaf out of Deck and Flame's book. Start by creating doubles of yourself, Swamprent, so that we'd have a better chance of coming out unscathed. Follow on with some stealthy, strategic rock placements, then shoo that trickster out of the way with a good, hearty bellow.

"HREEARGH!"

Double Team (4 clones) > Stealth Rock > Roar

I'm going to use colors for the HP if that's alright if not just tell me. Also I'm sure my normally unexcusable lateness is understood.

The battle began with two titans in the form of Pokemon staring each other down on each end of the field. On the side of Zhengtann, Swampert, and on Ragnarokalex's side Alakazam. The battle began with 'Zam running around Swampert and Tricking into switching items with him. Alakazam said that it doesn't matter if he has the Water Gem, and the Iron Ball enhances appearance as well as weight. Swampert took the bait, and since he felt so beautiful, he created clones of himself. Four, to be exact. A new action begins with Alakazam shooting out a knot of grass. Lady Luck was on his side, and he manages to hit Swampert and destroy all of his clones. His IQ of 5000 might've paid off. Swampert's Trainer seems to be oblivious to the extreme danger, and orders him to stealthily lay rocks across the opponent's field. Alakazam nails him with another Grass Knot, damage further amplified by his increased weight. Swampert realizes the Trick and Roars in anger, scaring Alakazam so much he switched out and was replaced by Gengar.

Do remember that Gengar takes hazards damage upon switching in. Though, that is still a small price to pay compared to hitting the right Swamprent out of 5 right off the bat for you. Zweilorent, come in. Get this set of Wide Lens (I'm glad they tailored it to fit your needs) and start plotting. After all, 2 heads are better than one.

Looking back at my profiles, I should probably change that 40 MC to 0. Also I should have one Double Team instead of two. In any case, let's bustle out so that we could regain our footing in the damage race. Start off with the first bit of parahaxxing, then use the second bit to wear that Kain-Gengar down. We'll try to at least trade statuses, and see who comes out better.

Round Two of this amazing battle starts out with two completely different opponents than Round One. Battling for Ragnarokalex, Gengar, and for Zhengtann, Zweilous! Gengar makes a Pokédoll substitute of itself while it stands still and dissapears, and it begins to focus. Zweilous falls for the ruse and blasts it with a Wave of Thunder, doing nothing. Gengar takes his Focused energy, and Blasts it at Zweilous for a ton of damage. Zweilous still thinks that the Pokédoll is Gengar, and Bites it. The Pokédoll is the spit out in fury after he realizes what it is. Zweilous runs forward and Crunches on ghostly flesh, but Gengar simply Counters it, already expecting the attack.

A bit of correction, if you will, yoshi - you forgot to include Hustle's +3 BAP effect, so Crunch and Counter A3 would've dealt 27.75 and 41.625 damage respectively. Combined with the fact that Counter costs 20 EN in that regard (you might have forgotten to add 6 after dividing the damage Gengar took by 2), as well as the fact that Gengar only took 15 damage A2 (as Zweilous breaks the sub), this means that Gengar would have 35 HP, 60 EN post-round to Zweilous' 36 HP, 85 EN (ouch).

Anyhow, I guess I could go ahead? Let's see... Maybe I should emulate what I did last round, with a bit of improvisation, Zweilorent. Start with the good ol' Thunder Wave to slow Kain-Gengar down for real, then Torment his inability to Taunt you fast enough before you send him packing with a carefully aimed Dragon Tail. If this goes to plan, we'll have suceeded in staving off this confrontation for another time, when we are at an advantage.

no worries about time, its not like were gonna be last to finish or anything so theres no rush.

One thing though, Gengar should've used Taunt A2 since torment was used and i wasnt taunted, so he should have 38 energy and zweilous should be taunted for 4 more actions

EDIT: I had used focus blast last action of last round so itll cost 4 more energy this round

ZhengTann

Nargacuga
is a Forum Moderator Alumnus
Well, Gengar would actually have 42 EN left. after spending 8 and 10 EN on Focus Blast A1 and Taunt A2 (A3 is a failed action so it doesn't cost any). Zweilous' Dragon Tail would also deal extra 6 damage due to STAB and Hustle (probably should point out that Dragon Tail has 91% accuracy after Hustle drop and Wide Lens boost as well), so if Dragon Tail does hit, it'll activate Gengar's Berry, restoring Gengar to 33 HP post-round.

Anyway, placeholder for my orders here, in case Dragon Tail did/did not hit.

EDIT: Alright, Zweilorent, you've done your part, for now. We'll return the favour to Kain-Gengar, I promise. But before that, we've got to cripple Celes-Alakazam, he's simply a much larger threat than that last Camerupt was. Swamprent, we're counting on you - go forth.

"GRAUHT! GRAUHT!"

ZhengTann

Nargacuga

Well, Swamprent - let's make sure we force in a couple more switches, just to take advantage of our playing field. Scare Celes-Alakazam off with a good exhalation, then don't forget to pay him back for all the pain he made you go through. Even if your chances of making it through is not as good as I hoped for, it'll be enough to deal another to them while you take one for the team.

"GRRAAUGGH!"

Roar > Endeavour > Scald
IF Celes-Alakazam is under the effects of Protective/Evasive actions, THEN replace that action with Bulldoze and push remaining queue back.
IF Celes-Alakazam uses a non-combo Grass-type damaging attack, THEN replace that action with Mirror Coat + Mirror Coat combo.

Please note that Kain-Gengar is 20% Paralysed (last time it came in, Zweilous T-Waved it before sending it packing with D-Tail) and will have to stomach a good chunk of Stealth Rock on Ralex's side of the field. Come to see it, Celes-Alakazam would have to be at 66 EN as well.

In other words, Zweilorent, revenge is being served bittersweet. Well actually, I have no idea what a Gengar tastes like, but its time to feed. They say that ghosts hide in preferable shadows, where the living can't see them until they make their move. Well, in darkness, there are no shadows, only a swallowing maw.
