1v1 LC Flash
Standard rules
2hr DQ
Arena:-
Arena: The Trilithon Array
Field Type: Rock
Complexity: Intense
Format: Maximum 6v6 Triples
Summary: The Trilithon Array is one of the stranger-looking towers, since nothing about its construction seems to obey the laws of physics. From its base, a neolithic burial mound in northern France (thankfully intact), trilithon structures - a horizontal stone slab balanced atop two vertical ones to form a gate-like shape - rise up atop one another and branch out to form a cross between a spiral staircase and a tall, thin tree. How it doesn't fall down is anyone's guess, but it conveys a sense of solidity to all who go near it, especially the Rock-types. At the top is a great earthworks, mirroring the one miles below, and inside here is the fortified stadium, in which the warriors of the Original One may learn to endure even the most savage blow, waiting patiently to strike with the force of the planet itself.
  • All Pokémon on the field gain the effects of the Stone Plate.
  • No open water, no grass. Rocks and sand are plentiful; moves that require them have their energy costs reduced by 1.
  • The arena is enclosed; Sky Drop, Bounce, and Fly all do 25% recoil damage and weather is unable to affect the battle.
  • Camouflage changes the user's type to Rock-type.
  • Nature Power changes to Power Gem.
  • Solid Rock lowers the BAP of super-effective attacks by 3 instead of 2.
  • Dual-type Pokemon cannot receive double-super-effective damage.
  • If a Rock-type Pokemon uses Rock Polish, then the boost drops once every two rounds.
  • Head Smash ignores the target's Defence boosts and has a 30% chance to cause Flinching.
  • Sheer Force's effect is doubled for Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-type Pokemon.
  • Hyper Beam is Rock-Type and has a 10% chance to inflict a round of Sluggishness on the target; Normal-type Pokémon still get STAB if they use it.
  • Rock Wrecker does not incur a round of Sluggishness.
  • Pokemon with Rock Head gain the additional ability Battle Armour. This ability cannot be Traced.
  • Stealth Rock hits for successive rounds, lowering its damage by 4 each time. Once it reaches zero, ignore it. Obviously.

Hi there! Welcome to ASB! Unfortunately, your team has not yet been approved to start. An approver should soon be able to look over your team and make sure everything's accurate - this helps avoid V-Create Joltik and whatnot. You don't see them in other profiles because they are deleted a few days after the approval to look nicer, but I'm afraid that you'll have to wait before your first battle. An approver should have managed to check your post by tomorrow, so please sit tight =)

I will take Fighterman481 vs. S0L1D G0LD . Since no arena was specified, I shall choose one of my own. Anything else forgotten is normal.
Arena: Nighttime Desert
Type: Steel, Rock
Complexity: Low

Restrictions:
  • No sources of any kind
  • Permanent vicious sandstorm
This is the sandstorm weather, except stronger. Every effect a normal sandstorm has, this has. This is a list of its additional effects:
  • Pokemon without Sand Rush, Sand Force, Sand Veil, Overcoat, or Magic Guard, or a Rock, Ground, or Steel type take 3 damage per action instead of 2.
  • Those Pokemon wake up at the end of each round.
  • Those Pokemon also can not use a move or command that relies upon Resting or relaxing (Rest, Chill, Calm Mind, Slack Off, etc.).
  • Pokemon with Sand Rush, Sand Force, Sand Veil, Overcoat, or Magic Guard, but not a Rock, Ground, or Steel type take 1 damage per action.
  • Rock-types have the BAP of all special moves aimed at them reduced by 3, instead of 2.
  • Other weathers may only be summoned by weather rock and weather ability, in which case they last for 2 rounds.
  • Cloud Nine will not negate its effects.
  • All the sand is constantly bombarding anything in the area. As such, Grassy Terrain can only last for 2 rounds before dissipating, and Misty Terrain only lasts 1 round.
  • Camouflage makes the user a Ground-type.
  • Nature Power becomes Sand Tomb
  • Secret Power has a chance to lower the foe's accuracy (no effect if the target Pokemon is of the Rock, Ground, or Steel type)
  • Double Team fails
  • Substitutes lose HP at 5 per action and provide no protection against any sand-based moves.
  • Constant nighttime
Nighttime is an arena effect created when the battle happens at night. The poor lighting conditions have all of the following effects:
  • Moonlight always restores maximum HP.
  • Sun-based moves fail.
  • Due to how dark the arena is, pokemon dodging has a 100% success rate (barring when the arena is lightened up by a fire or light-based move, or a Volcarona is in play, or a pokemon is using the Brighten command).
  • Moves whose effectiveness is based upon light present, and not sun-based (i.e. Synthesis) have their effectiveness halved.
  • Camouflage adds a secondary Dark type to any pokemon using it.
The cold temperatures has the following effects:
  • Sheer Cold has its accuracy increased by 10% (multiply accuracy by 1.1).
  • Moves with a burn-chance have that chance removed, and 100%-chance burn-inflicting moves now have a 50% chance.
  • Camouflage has a 50% chance of adding a secondary Ice type to any pokemon using it (takes priority over the Dark-type).
  • Water-type moves without a burn chance become Ice-type (but Water-types still get STAB on those moves, and Ice-types do not)
  • Sand Attack drops the foe's accuracy 2 stages (but only one when called by another move)
  • Sand Tomb has its damage over time doubled
  • Fire-type moves have their type effectiveness dropped one stage (with a triple resist becoming a 16/81 multiplier)
  • Dig can not hit a Flying-type Pokemon, one with the ability Levitate(Ability), a Pokemon under the effects of Levitate(command), Magnet Rise, or Telekinesis, or a Pokemon holding an Air Balloon

Description:
You approach the battlefield where you agreed to battle someone on a prior day. As you get there, the sun sets. You begin to get worried, with the once warm desert on a calm day you prepared for being torn out of your hands. The temperature gets very cold quite quickly, and a massive sandstorm brews up, mightier than any you have ever seen before. The weather is so cold, in fact, that all normal water-type moves freeze over and become Ice-type moves, and all hot water-type moves lose their burn chance.

Once you arrive, you begin surveying the battlefield. The desert is too dry, not even the hardiest of plants survive there. You don't see any water either, nor are there any clouds in the sky. The sand is too fine to use as rocks for moves, too. The battlefield is very flat, too, so you can't figure out how to be resourceful and utilize this arena.

Once the battle begins, you noticed the light being a problem. Night time is dark enough, and sandstorm makes it even darker. Any attempt to dodge always succeeds (this is overridden by No Guard and never-miss moves). You try to execute a Fire-type move to lighten up the area, but it doesn't do much, far short of usual.

Another problem comes up soon. The soft sand is too soft to push off of. Due to this, pokemon fail to hit any foe of the Flying-type, with the ability Levitate, under the effects of Magnet Rise, Levitate, or Telekinesis, or holding an Air Balloon.

DogfishEdit: Not selecting an arena defaults to the ASB Arena, and definitely not to something as complicated as the above. Lord knows why you've put that as Complexity Low, the above arena should be marked at the highest complexity =\

Name: Battlefield
Type: None
Complexity: Medium

Restrictions:
No Water source
No seismic attacks

Description:
Battlefield.jpg

A classic arena, waiting for battle.

To start, all participating pokemon are on the bottom platform. A pokemon may move to either side platform at a cost of 5 energy. A pokemon there may not move to the upper platform.
Contact moves from there may only strike foes on the bottom platform, and ranged moves can not strike foes on the upper level.

Pokemon on either side level may move to the upper platform, at a cost of 5 energy or to the bottom platform, at a cost of 2 energy.
Pokemon on either side level may only attack pokemon on the same platform with contact moves, and may strike any foe with ranged moves.

Pokemon on the top may move to either side platform at a cost of 2 energy.
Pokemon there may only attack foes on the upper platform with contact moves, and pokemon on the upper or side platforms with ranged moves.

However, there are some exceptions. Pokemon may use Dig to drop down from their platform to any lower one. Using Dig on the bottom platform causes the user to KO itself.
Pokemon coming down from the evasive stage of Fly or Bounce may land anywhere they want. They can only attack foes on the place they land, though.
Increased priority contact moves that send the user moving quickly (Aqua Jet, Extreme Speed, Fake Out, Quick Attack, Shadow Sneak) can be used to attack while moving between platforms. Other than Extreme Speed, all those moves function like a ranged attack for what they can hit.
Moves whose nature would be able to hit through or around platforms (Psychic, Aura Sphere, etc.) can strike a foe regardless of positioning.

Dogfish44Edit: As I stated before, DEFAULT TO THE ASB ARENA IF AN ARENA IS NOT SPECIFIED. If you cannot grasp this concept, please either post up a wish to ref in a similar manner as you'd post a battle, complete with your arena and wait for battlers to accept it, or do not accept matches who have not posted their arena. As for this odd case where the battlers wanted a different arena as stated prior, it may have been smarter to simply ask for one or the other to post an arena rather than make one yourself, as it could (and in this case, did) lead to some flared tempers. Cheers =)

Mulan15262Edit: I guess one of you two get to provide an arena, then.
