This will be a thread on discussion about the new upcoming FPS Battlefield: Bad Company 2. This game will be released on March 2, 2010 in North America and March 5, 2010 in Europe. This game will be available on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
Update 3/7/10: The demos has been removed since around February 18, 2010.
Update 3/5/10: Most of you might have already purchased the game and have been playing through a few levels of its campaign mode or just having fun on the multiplayer. So in that case, tell us about your single player/multiplayer gameplay experience. What are you liking about Bad Company 2 so far? Maybe you have a few opinions, questions or suggestions that you want to contribute to the thread? Post them all here.
If you are a fan of FPS franchise such as Call of Duty and Left 4 Dead, then I believe that you will be able to find the joy of playing this game—even with the minor adjustments of getting used to the slightly different control format. Since having played those franchises of FPS, you will be delighted to know that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a fantastic multiplayer-based game.
In the example of the Squad Rush mode, you will be placed onto a side and working together as a team to either destroy or protect the valuables from the opposing team. There are many other game modes that you can play on the multiplayer, such as the Conquest, Rush (different from Squad Rush), and Squad Deathmatch. The maximum number of people joining in a server can be up to 24 players on PS3 and Xbox 360 (32 on PC).
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 offers four classes of soldiers ranging from Assault, Engineer, Medic, and Recon. You will also have the chance to take control of the four available vehicles such as the Quad Bike, Personal Water Craft (PWC), Helicopter, and everyone’s favorite destructive piece of machinery: Tank. In case of some people who are familiar with the classic FPS title such as the Team Fortress 2, the roles in Bad Company 2 are very similar to that.
If there is a few things I would have to say about the Battlefield: Bad Company 2, it would be the four things that separates it from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and other FPS franchise: exploding buildings, enormous maps, vehicles, and realistic firefights! It looks refreshing and also has great audio quality. I would greatly recommend this game to anyone, and even including the newcomer to FPS genre.
Discuss, rant, or post anything about this game that you have in mind. It can be anything from the single-player and/or multiplayer gameplay.
