[Beginner] Heroic Characters Mafia: GAME OVER! Playable Characters win

That, and no single Mafia would have five users, which eliminates a group of five from being a Mafia conspiracy.

Wait, wait, wait. How would you know how big the mafias are? There could be almost any number. There are twenty-one of us left, if the count in the OP is correct. The mafias could most likely be anywhere from three apiece (giving us 5 mafia left and 16 village, since the MH have already lost one) to seven per team (13 mafia, 8 village). There isn't any real way to tell. Besides being mafia yourself, that is. Just throwing it out there.

Holding off voting for now.

If a Mafia has five people, and there are two Mafia, there are nine remaining Mafia and twelve villagers. At that point, we are pretty much dead whatever we do, and we might as well calmly give up.

Aside from pessimism, no one else has stepped up to lead the village, and a group of five users has banded together to do so. Logically with villagers dropping like flies, it is important to band together and this is by far our best option.

You're joking right? If you honestly think that the mafias have more than 5 people then I really don't know what to tell you. Logically speaking, if both mafias have more than 5, then the villages chances of winning are very slim. imo that's bad game design and most beginners have had mafias of 4, rarely 5. So yes, while it is possible, the chances of a mafia having more 5 or more is not very high. Also, why are you holding off on voting?

Edit: Just saying, but Mastadi is right now on IRC, but he isn't in any channel. At least according to /whois. So I'm not really sure why he isn't idling in any channel. He may however be in a mafia channel. Food for thought.

Edit2: Who is Mastadi?
[11:42] Mastadi is ~Mastadi@synIRC-56FC6607.as13285.net * Mastadi
[11:42] Mastadi is a registered nick
[11:42] Mastadi using unity.dk.eu.synirc.net Unity@SynIRC
[11:42] mastadi End of /WHOIS list.

Galladiator you are quite possibly the greatest mafia player I have ever encountered.

It is clear from the divine clairvoyance conveyed in this post that I was horribly mistaken when I thought you were so useless the village could lynch it's own and be better off in the last NOC. Can you ever forgive me for this grievous fault?

What is this, I don't even...

As you all look at Leethoof, a weird sound occurs as he looks different...

Congratulations! Your Leethoof has now evolved into Chomz! Would you like to nickname it?(Chomz has subbed in for Leethoof)

Ah yes, what mafia game would be complete without a bout of trolling from UncleSam.

For everybody else wondering, I didn't vote immediately because I wanted to clarify where Red was getting his numbers from. It turned out to be a matter of simple math. I apologize for wasting people's patience.

Lynch Mastadi

No.

Hi everyone just wanted to say that we don't want majority yet as some people still have not claimed. So while we are still a couple votes short of majority, please do not get majority just quite yet. If you have not claimed yet please do so as soon as possible. Thank you!

(Late)Deadline!

As you all decide on what to do, everyone notices that your friendly neighborhood kd24 has returned to you. Without any other word, you all decide to lynch Mastadi due to Rediamond and Jalmont's opinions. Metal Bagon feels some wind on him from a vote, but Kaxtar and jessifer decide to just stay outta this whole dispute. Xaqwais seemed to be pretty quiet in the corner, though Athenodoros dragged him over with the others.

Now, for our lynch itself. As Mastadi stood among everyone, a dark portal sucked the crazy machine in, turning the thing into a potato.

Role PM said:
Dear Mastadi,
You are GLaDOS.

You are the Robot in charge of Aperture Science. You originally took Chell in for testing, but she managed to “kill” you. However she came back with the corrupted core Wheatley and accidentally revived you. However, when Wheatley betrays Chell you team up to defeat Wheatley and prevent him from blowing everything up. In the process you get turned into a potatoe, find out you where formally a human, and then get turned back into a robot. You like to promise people cake and putting them in tests.

At night, you may send a PM to loudkirbyking and Darkpenguin67 titled “Night X - Put <User> in a test chamber”. During the night the user will go through a test chamber. After watching them go through the test chamber, you will be able to deduce their entire Role Pm.

At night you may send a PM to loudkirbyking and Darkpenguin67 titled “Night X - Promise <User> Cake”. <User> will look for the cake you promised them all night and will forget to do their action.

You are aligned with the Somewhat Heroic Villains. You win if all threats are eliminated.

With that said, and the potato Mastadi cooked and eaten by Galladiator, you decide to get some rest.

IT is now Night 3. Night 3 ends in 48 hours, or when all actions are in.

I have a bad feeling about Jalmont, Rediamond and co. While I do understand that there is power in numbers, many other mafias in other games have had five members, in addition to a neutral. A good example would be PMD mafia, in which both mafias has five people, leaving 14 village vs. 5 mafia vs. 5 mafia vs. 1 neutral, and that game was designed well and had good balance. Therefore, five members stepping up at once is not conclusive proof that any of them are villagers; in fact, it could mean that both mafias are joining forces to take out the most able villagers.

Adding on to this logical reasoning, I have more reasons why we should not trust Jalmont and co. Go back to Rediamond's first major post, and you would see that I apparently did not claim to KD. However, I did claim to KD almost a full day before Night 2 began, giving KD plenty of time to update his spreadsheet/however he was keeping track of data. Jalmont's excuse for why I was on the list of people who did not claim was:
<jalmont> thanks anyways kd didnt do a very good job of organizing claims
<jalmont> so some people who claimed to kd
<jalmont> me and the others didnt have any info on
While this may very well be the truth, it just seems off that KD would not update his spreadsheet, especially given the time he had to do so. Jalmont has also said to me that if I don't claim tonight, he'll have the vig kill me. This is a complete overreaction imo, and for multiple reasons. I haven't acted shady (aside from not posting, but the clusterfuck that was happening in the thread gave me plenty of incentive not to post), and this is only the first day that a group of new leaders have stepped up to claim. Would you trust leaders who claim that they are clean only becuase "alliance checker checked me" without any claim from the checker? I would sure hope not.

So, anyone who has not yet claimed to them should not. While I'm fine with the Mastadi lynch, we should not put our full trust in Redimaond, Jalmont, red_kryal and TalkingLion just yet. Let's instead wait until KD comes back tomorrow and until we can get the results of this lynch before making another move. Also, if I am killed tonight, then you guys should put only more pressure on Jalmont and his group.

Finally, if we could generate a bit more discussion on everything, that would be appreciated. And especially if KD could confirm that I claimed to him, that'd be great to sure up any doubt about myself.

lynch Kaxtar
oh wait

This is such a scummy post it blew my mind. I guess I'm just going to have to respond to the main points of this post.

I have a bad feeling about Jalmont, Rediamond and co. While I do understand that there is power in numbers, many other mafias in other games have had five members, in addition to a neutral. you give absolutely zero reason to why :you have a bad feeling." guess wwhat, i have a bad feeling about you! All you have said here is, "guys the mafia might have 5 members instead of 4!" Doesn't really mean anything.

Jalmont's excuse for why I was on the list of people who did not claim was:

what i said on irc pretty much explains this

Kd doesn't have a spreadsheet. I do. It's not a complete overreaction seeing as if I am trying to coordinate people's actions to find mafia (who I think I've pretty much found all of). And yes, you have acted like scum because you refuse to claim. I'm not sure what to say. Sure I'll tell the alliance checker to speak up publicly. Want me to release my spreadsheet the public? v_v

Yeah because if I'm working with the other mafia I would go ahead and lynch my allies/teammates right? Nope, that makes no sense. I have made every effort to clean myself, and at this point in the game you must claim or we will lynch/vig you. I would've added more, but we cleared this up over IRC. If you still have any doubts then please send me a pm or contact me on irc. I promise I won't ignore you unlike some other people in this game!
