Shame that combo doesn't like Bug/Flying much!
Breloom and Starmie can beat flying with a Tbolt from Starmie. So bug is the only type they can't resiste.

Bug is a weak attack type, but Flying is not. CB Raptor with Brave Bird is quite powerful. Same goes for it with U-Turn. Think about it, you send in Raptor to KO Breloom when the sub is down, use U-Turn, and bye bye starmie. Even if you kep Breloom in, he would die.The problem with a Bug/Flying weak is that they are both horrible attacking types.
If it was a Fight/Ice weak, I'd be more worried. But really, just switch to some random rock/steel/electric/poison/fire/ghost. Or really, just any steel because that resists both.
Sure, if it was faster than starmie. And it would have died a long time ago if it had LO.Bug is a weak attack type, but Flying is not. CB Raptor with Brave Bird is quite powerful. Um, speed doesn't matter if you switch Breloom out. Also, did I not say that it had a CB? Where on earth did you get the idea that it had LO?Sure, if it was faster than starmie. And it would have died a long time ago if it had LO.
You're assuming too much to think that his Sub is down. Every Breloom I've ever fought has Subbed or Spored on a switch and god knows Raptor hates the idea of a Focus Punch to the gut.Think about it, you send in Raptor to KO Breloom when the sub is down, use U-Turn, and bye bye starmie.
True, the sub is hard to break, but there are ways of doing so. Get the raptor in on the sub, U-Turn, and have something to absorb the punch or stone edge. Bye Breloom. Whatever switched in should be able to at least brake a Breloom sub, which isn't hard at all. Even NVE moves with decent attack should do the job. Not to mention, if Breloom has leech seed over stone edge, and by some miracle Staraptor is slower, Breloom just wasted a turn, and lost a sub. You're assuming too much to think that his Sub is down. Flying necessitates Fighting and only Raptor is lucky enough to get a good fighting attack. The problem of course is that Raptor is predictable as hell and U-turn is only as good on him as it is on anyone.
No two-pokemon combo can hope to stop everyone but many get close (Heatgrowth really comes to mind).
I, for one really like the combo of Shuckle and Bibarel.
Just think about it. Shuckle seems like set-up bait, so people will try and set-up on it by using their stat-up moves. Shuckle encores the stat-up and switches over to Bibarel. If they just attack Shuckle, he can Knock Off their item. Neutral to pretty much everything Bibarel is weak to.
Now the opponent is essentially forced to switch out, or waste up to 6 turns using a stat-up move that is going to be having no effect for Bibarel (unless it's speed). In that time, Bibarel will be Fanging away, slicing 50% of their health each time if they don't switch out. Most of the time, it only takes 2 Super Fangs then a Waterfall/Return to KO the opponent. This is especially helpful with Stealth Rock (also from Shuckle). Of course for this to work, Bibarel's ability needs to be Unaware. Bibarel can also take any water attacks aimed at Shuckle with ease, as it resists them, and a lot of people attack Shuckle with Surf.
I know how it worked in the times of yore, but it could have changed now. The old way was this:Pure. Genius. I'm going to test it on Shoddy :]
And how does the Sceptile+Raikou combo work?
I know how it worked in the times of yore, but it could have changed now. The old way was this:
Raikou @ Leftovers
Timid 252 Sp Attack/ Enough HP for best recovery/ rest in Sp attack
TBolt
CM
HP Ice
Substitute
Sceptile @ Leftovers
Jolly 252 Speed/ 200 Def/ 52 HP
Leaf Blade
Substitute
Leech Seed
???(forgot)
Basically, you send in Raikou, and get either a CM or a sub up. Then, the opponent would send in their EQ-user to counter you. Then, in comes Sceptile to absorb it, and KO back. With Boltbeam/ grass, nothing resists it.

And how does the Sceptile+Raikou combo work?
Heh, well if you want the Shuckle + Bibarel combo to be at its best, unfortunately we have to wait for Unaware to be implimented...but I have tried it without any ability, since none of Bibarel's are yet, and it still works awesomely. :]
Ice Beam. Enough said.togekiss and garchomp enough said
