Hello this is PkmonTrainer Grey (Formally known as xxhalohawkxx).
Please help me keep no more than 1 Duplicate Item and 1 Legend on the team, other than that every advice means a lot to me so I can improve.
Today I will be posting a new Experimental Team i made on Paper but have tested before in game against friends and a bit on wifi. This team reflects my own Hyper Offensive Variant and I hope you enjoy it.
ALSO, before i made this team on paper and tested in-game, i had a PO Version that served me very well where I've peaked 32 in Dream World OU before I ended up facing my most vicious problem by far for this team: a Genesect Sand Team, in which i faced it 7x back to back and dropped immensly in my ranking. The most I've KO'd on that team (who at least 5-7 people all run the same exact team as a clan known as Royal Society) was 2-4 pkmon, rarely KO'ing a Genesect.
Anyway, with all that said, My Team is as shown below: (Don't mind the Genederless Salamence, that was misclick)
Rusty(Durant) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Hustle
252 Speed/248 Atk/8 Def
Nature: Jolly (+ Speed, -Sp.Atk)
-Iron Head
-Rock Slide
-X-Scissor
-Crunch/Thunder Fang
Now you may be asking why not run Hone Claws on Durant if you have a Focus Sash attached? The reason is because I WANT to go into Straight Attacking Mode, hence why this is my OWN Variant of Hyper Offensive (i think).
-Iron Head and X-Scissor serve as my main STAB moves, they pretty much reel in the heavier damage range with after STAB boost reach 120 B.P. and wipe out a couple Psychics in the Process (and with Hustle, Durant reaches 424 Attack with the cost of 20% Accuracy Loss.)
-Rock Slide serves as my saying, "Durant eats Fire types for Breakfast as a Hobby," the reason is facing a Volcarona in PO serves a situation to my Gameplay, which is where ONE of my pkmon become Death Fodder and Durant serves as a Revenge Kill to it (one person said "o.O thats impossible, you can't KO Volc with that thing" ; Next Turn "damn you got lucky")
-Crunch serves as a Ghost Killer Attack due to High Speed and Power, and the unexpected sash to go with it, as well as hitting pkmon who are resistant to the other 3 moves. I am debating whether to switch Crunch off for Thunder Fang seeing that I want Durant to STAY in the battle as long as it can before it's KO'd by something it can barely damage. But I barely see the use for a Thunder Fang also, any advice towards this situation?
Umbra(Gengar) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Levitate
252 Speed/ 252 Sp.Atk/ 4 Sp.Def
Nature: Timid (+Speed, -Atk)
-Icy Wind
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Energy Ball/Giga Drain
My usual Lead of Gengar, a Mixed Lead Gengar also.
-Icy Wind was seen by a friend that raped about half of my team from the speed decrease, and decided to try it out, which made it a devastating Lead, especially to Flying Types, Salamence, Dragonite Even sinice Dnite's and Sally's speed boost would be Canceled Out AFTER the Icy Wind.
-Shadow Ball serves as Gengars Prefered STAB Atk. with the chance of Lowering Sp.Def, this move is personally one of my Favorite Atk's.
-Thunderbolt serves as a Mixed Set Atk, it helps me devastate Water types, and Flying Types who dare to stand in Gengars path.
-Energy Ball is a great move overall to use on Gengar honestly, it helps him keep his flow against Rock, Ground, and other pkmon who are weak to Grass. With the same effect as Shadow Ball, it's very helpful in a couple of battles. Giga Drain is actually something I NEVER knew that Gengar could learn until somebody used it on me in PO these were my exact words also, "o.O I never knew Gengar could learn Giga bro." So I'm debating on whether to use Giga Drain OR Energy Ball on Gengar, any Advice towards this?
Fear(Feraligatr) @ Life Orb
Trait: Sheer Force
252 Atk/252 Speed/4 Def
Nature: Jolly (+Speed, -Sp.Atk)
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Ice Punch
-Earthquake
One of my favorite sweepers within the Dream World OU Tier (at least while the ability hasn't been released yet).
-Dragon Danceis Feraligatr's Set Up, all it would need is 1 DD in almost any match, and you pretty much have a wrecking ball of Destruction to face in the match.
-Waterfallis Feraligatr's Prefered STAB due to a 100% Accuracy and 80 B.P. as to Aqua Tail's 90% Accuracy and 90 B.P., even if it is stronger, i prefer the Not Missing part more, and as a Bonus, Waterfall's additional Flinch Effect is taken away to further increase its power, practically 1HKOing almost EVERY pkmon that goes in its way. After the Jolly DD boost, Feraligatr becomes 420 speed, and 434 Atk, which is more than enough to cause a wreck in Battles.
-Ice Punchis Feraligatr's Coverage Move as it will beat down MANY Grass, Dragons, and other pkmon Such as: Gliscor & Landorus, and also with the Freeze Addition taken away for Sheer Forces Brute Force, It WILL hit any pkmon hard that resists Waterfall and is Resistant to Earthquake, almost ensuring a 1HKO to them, and if its a staller I'm up against, I'll set up one more DD and let the Ice Punch Wreck it for a 1HKO.
-Earthquake is probably the oddball of the set, most people would prefer to keep Sheer Force + Life Orb a secret during battle, as for me, I'm not scared to show anyone i use that combo for Feraligatr, as it allows me to dismantle Electric types who would REALLY try to 1HKO Feraligatr, as most WILL NOT be 1HKO'd by Waterfall. And it will also cripple a couple of Poison types along the way who are resistant to Waterfall or Ice Punch except Weezing.
RoyalSnake(Serperior) @ Big Root
Trait: Contrary
252 Sp.Atk/252 Speed/4 Sp.Def
Nature: Timid (+Speed, -Atk)
-Leaf Sotrm
-Giga Drain
-Hidden Power (Ice)
-Substitute
Personally, i think Serperior is the MAIN Sweeper of the Team, as it will always set up perrfectly against a Ferrothorn OR Forretress, I think of it, as the Crux/Leader of my Team.
-Leaf Storm is basically the Set Up of the Entire Set after I clear away a huge threat to the team. I always ran a Modest Nature with this set, but seeing how Infernape (used by a friend) always was faster then my Serp, and 1HKO'd it everytime, why not make it Timid in exchange for a little bit of power loss. Still Destructive with 180 B.P. after STAB Boost, and its very reliable most times (I hate how it has 90% accuracy).
-Giga Drain is my Secondary STAB for Serperior, it allows me to heal off some damage Serperior took and also regain the health used to create the Sub obviously. and with Big Root, i gain even more HP back to Serperior.
-Hidden Power (Fire) is Serperiors Coverage Move, of course i use it after i set up my Sub and landed a Leaf Storm on the Ferro/Forry I set up on. I have been debating whether to make it HP Ice or HP Ground, as I would be able to counter Fire types and some other counters to Serperior, BUT HP Ice would let me knock down Multiscale Dnite in a 2HKO being I don't Hax a Crit on the opponent, and take down any Dragon, along with Gliscor and Landorus in a 1HKO also. Any advice towards this situation?
-Substitute is the Crux to why Serperior is so Deadly in the Dream World OU Tier, when face to face with a Ferro/Forry who try to T-Wave it, Sub infront of their face, and they are most likely to rage quit, especially someone who happens to be using a Stall Chansey/Blissey set. This move, makes Serperior my own Sweeper Variant and many people have Doubted it mistaking it for a Sub-Seed Set which cost them Dearly.
Salamence @ Lum Berry
Trait: Moxie
252 Atk/252 Speed/4 Def
Nature: Jolly
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Fire Fang
-Dragon Dance is basically the Set up of the Entire Set, 1 DD allows him to become a wrecking ball of destruction like Feraligatr, only you add in the Moxie Boosts :D
-Outrage is used to start of the destruction of the entire sweep of Moxie Mence, as it is Legal in the actual game. Once I'm not hindered by a Paralysis, Burn or Sleep by the time I finsh the Outrage(2-3 turns later), Lum Berry kicks in and takes off Confusion, I would prefer Lum over Persim because if they add in Burn or something similar to that, Salamence would be crippled.
-Earthquake is used as a Coverage move to take down Spefically Heatran honestly, and other pkmon who resist both Outrage and Fire Fang. Nothing more to say honestly bout Earthquake.
-Fire Fang is used over Fire Blast for 2 Reasons: 1) Fire Blast becomes Hindered from the Jolly Nature and 2) Fire Fang us physical, which makes Excellent use of Moxie to make it that much more powerful than Fire Blast. A nice move to use to cause either Flinch or Burn to your opponent, and to take down Pesky Steel and Ice types that get in my way, and if there are Grass Types in the Sun because of Drought-Tails, consider them screwed.
(GO Raikou :D)
ThunderCat(Raikou) @ Air Balloon/Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
252 Sp.Atk/252 Speed/4 Def
Nature: Modest<---Currently using/Timid<----thinking about Testing with same Set.
-Calm Mind is the Set up of the Set honestly, like every Standard Raikou would use, set up and Increase Special Bulk and Range Power.
-Thunderbolt is prefered due to 100% accuracy and 95 B.P. otherwise I'd go for my High Risk High Reward Style with Thunder.
-Aura Sphere is from the Event Raikou, which makes him all the more deadly to wreck a team with his Speed and Power. Easily taking down pkmon not named Blissey and Eviolite Chansey, it would take a Garchomp to knock him down quickly (who just so thankfully happens to be an Uber now yay me :D) OR Priority moves also would kill Raikou.
-Hidden Power (Ice) is used to take down a couple of Dragons and Ground Types. Basically this is a Standard Raikou,
I'm thinking about making a Bold Raikou with Hidden Power Ice>Aura Sphere and Substitute>Hidden Power Ice (the Modest/Timid Set) and Run Leftovers to go with it.
EDIT:
ThunderCat(Raikou) @ Leftovers
Trait: Volt Absorb
240 Speed/100 Def/168 HP
Nature: Bold
-Calm Mind
-Substitute
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power (Ice)
-Calm Mind is basically the set up of the entire set, allowing raikou to make his Bulkyness stronger and able to take more hits. Along with Volt Absorb and Leftovers, people who don't know that raikou's holding the Volt Absorb ability would be shocked to see him with recovery from the Electric Atk.
-Substitute allows raikou to safely go into protection mode when you can see a T-Wave coming and you don't want your opponent knowing of your Volt Absorb......YET, or block right infront of their Toxic stalling Blissey/Eviolite Chansey. Which allows safe Calm Mind Set ups, and therefore bursting with power and vengence to his Modest/Timid Counter-Parts.
-Thunderbolt is Raikou's main STAB Atk, allowing for Brute force to hammer down on my opponent who doesn't resist or have immunity to it.
-Hidden Power (Ice) is used to Counter ground types known as Gliscor and Landorus Specifically and also other Mono Ground Pokemon and Dragons in the Process, it allows raikou to take advantage of the field until it is knocked out.
Now that I'm done, feel free to read and give Opinions and Critiques, and will be willing to Change whatever I need to change to some type of Original Sets :P i prefer not to use a Smogon Set seeing as im starting to do better making my own sets and EV's.
