Uberiffic sent out Bronzong (lvl 100 Bronzong).
Verast sent out Skarmory (lvl 100 Skarmory ?).
Skarmory used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around your foe's team!
Bronzong used Hypnosis.
Bronzong's attack missed!
Ok, the battle with my new explosion team begins, and I’m facing a skarmory lead. I probably should have gone to Heatran or Gengar to force it out, but I decide to hypnosis it then stealth rock on the switch, then explode on the upcoming threat. But stupid hypnosis missed. That’s what it does, I suppose. I stupidely assume to keep going with the plan. After all, it won’t miss again…
Bronzong used Hypnosis.
Bronzong's attack missed!
Skarmory used Roar.
Uberiffic switched in Heatran (lvl 100 Heatran ?).
Pointed stones dug into Heatran.
Heatran lost 12% of its health.
Of course, hypnosis misses again, but I do like what the roar brought out. But, since I run a scarftran, I have three options:
a-attack w/ fire blast and hope to do some damage on his counter
b-attack with a different move and hope to get a good hit on his counter
c- go back to brongzong
Okay, don’t like option a at all. B isn’t very favorable, since when they don’t see leftovers or life orb, they’ll go to something that resist’s that attack. I therefore decide to go back to brongzong to set up rocks.
Uberiffic switched in Bronzong (lvl 100 Bronzong).
Pointed stones dug into Bronzong.
Bronzong lost 6% of its health.
Verast switched in Salamence (lvl 100 Salamence ?).
Salamence's intimidate cut Bronzong's attack!
Excellent! This is a very good matchup for me, because my Brongzong is ev’ed specifically so unless Salamence is spec’ed, flamethrower will not 2hko, which means I can set up rocks and then explode. If he is spec’ed, I can go to heatran to grab a quick boost. I’m gonna skip hypnosis. I don’t like the accuracy and I don’t feel like it’s worth the risk, since I don’t feel as though it will benefit me to much. I hope he doesn’t have fire blast over flamethrower though…
Salamence used Flamethrower.
It's super effective!
Bronzong lost 41% of its health.
Bronzong used Stealth Rock.
Excellent, flamethrower it is. He isn’t spec’ed, either. While I could’ve gone to tran for a boost, I didn’t want him predicting and earthquaking, or predicting my fire blast when I came in (which is what I would do-strong stab with ok coverage is good on a switch) to earthquake me. Therefore, it’s fireworks time!
Salamence used Flamethrower.
It's super effective!
Bronzong lost 46% of its health.
Bronzong was burned!
Bronzong's Lum Berry cured its Burn!
Bronzong used Explosion.
Salamence lost 89% of its health.
Uberiffic's Bronzong fainted.
Uberiffic:5-Verast:6
Wow, that was my first battle using lum berry-it’s certanely been more help then leftovers ever has. Thanks to the lack of burn, I was able to nearly finish Salamence.
Uberiffic: this is my explosion team
Verast: okay
Thought this would be a good time to tell my opponent what he was up against :naughty:
Uberiffic switched in Gengar (lvl 100 Gengar ?).
Pointed stones dug into Gengar.
Gengar lost 12% of its health.
Okay, gengar is in, and salamence is garunteed to die, as he is outsped and dies to stealth rock. However, here is noobish mistake number #1…
Verast switched in Weavile (lvl 100 Weavile ?).
Weavile is exerting its pressure!
Pointed stones dug into Weavile.
Weavile lost 25% of its health.
Gengar used Shadow Ball.
It's not very effective...
Weavile lost 39% of its health.
Gengar lost 10% of its health.
I used shadow ball when at 11% health, Salamence would have died to focus blast. While I would like to say I misclicked, I’m pretty sure I just made a dum mistake. Oh, how rewarding it would have been to nail the weavile switch in with focus blast for a ohko… anyway, Weavile, that’s not to common (hello scizors bullet punch and vacuum wave specsluke) and the damage dealt with stealth rock meant he took a nice 65%. Anyway, I’m outsped and ko’ed, but I have someone who takes about nothing from weavile’s attacks and can kill easy with a priority move…
Uberiffic switched in Metagross (lvl 100 Metagross).
Pointed stones dug into Metagross.
Metagross lost 6% of its health.
Weavile used Night Slash.
Metagross lost 28% of its health.
Well, meta took a bit more damage than I would have liked, but the good news is that I can ko without anymore damage taken. Hope he doesn’t see this coming.
Verast switched in Salamence (lvl 100 Salamence ?).
Pointed stones dug into Salamence.
Salamence lost 25% of its health.
Verast's Salamence fainted.
Metagross used Bullet Punch.
But there was no target!
Uberiffic:5-Verast:5
And noobish mistake #2, luckily, it didn’t make that big of a difference. It was dum to assume he would stay in though, cause even if he didn’t expect a bullet punch, weavile would do little to metargoss and die afterward. So he used his salamence to scout my move.
Verast switched in Infernape (lvl 100 Infernape ?).
Pointed stones dug into Infernape.
Infernape lost 12% of its health.
Well, now I know the mistake didn’t matter, since locked into meteor mash or bullet punch, I would switch out here. I hope he doesn’t go for close combat and instead chooses the super effective fire blast…
Uberiffic switched in Heatran (lvl 100 Heatran ?).
Pointed stones dug into Heatran.
Heatran lost 12% of its health.
Infernape used Flare Blitz.
Heatran's Flash Fire raised its fire power!
Err, flare blitz. This means it isn’t a mixape. Probably a bandape, which means he has to switch out here. But im still going for earth power. The only flier I can see from his remaining team is skarmory, which even though the chances of me using fire blast is low, I doubt anyone is stupid enough to switch skarmory into heatran, just in case of a fire blast.
Verast switched in Weavile (lvl 100 Weavile ?).
Weavile is exerting its pressure!
Pointed stones dug into Weavile.
Weavile lost 25% of its health.
Heatran used Earth Power.
Weavile lost 34% of its health.
Verast's Weavile fainted.
Uberiffic:5-Verast:4
And he uses Weavile to scout my move. Now skamory is coming in…
Verast switched in Infernape (lvl 100 Infernape ?).
Pointed stones dug into Infernape.
Infernape lost 12% of its health.
Or not. Perhaps he wanted to take out heatran here and now, instead of just forcing it out with skarmory. I’m pretty sure scarftran outspeeds infernape anyway…
Infernape used Close Combat.
It's super effective!
Heatran lost 137% of its health.
Uberiffic's Heatran fainted.
Infernape's defence was lowered.
Infernape's special defence was lowered.
Infernape lost 10% of its health.
Uberiffic:4-Verast:4
Or not. Still, the ball’s in my court, since I have two pokemon that’s faster than infernape ready. The sign of life orb is a letdown though, since with close comat and flare blitz, it’s probably a bandape moveset but with a life orb.
Uberiffic switched in Gengar (lvl 100 Gengar ?).
Pointed stones dug into Gengar.
Gengar lost 12% of its health.
I choose gengar over Azelf so I don’t show another member of my team. Well, since it’s not banded, I don’t have the garunteed free turn, which means I have to use shadow ball instead of using focus blast, as I can’t risk Infernape surviving focus blast and ko’ing gengar…
Gengar used Shadow Ball.
Infernape lost 126% of its health.
Verast's Infernape fainted.
Gengar lost 10% of its health.
Uberiffic:4-Verast:3
Hmm, either he expected infernape to be faster and ko, he thought I would focus blast or t-bolt to hit skarm and survive (which from the damage dealt, I don’t think nape could have survived a focus blast) or he just sacked nape because none of his other pokes can switch in safely.
Verast switched in Porygonz (lvl 100 Porygonz).
Porygonz's Download raised its stats!
Porygonz's attack was raised.
Pointed stones dug into Porygonz.
Porygonz lost 12% of its health.
Switched in porygon-z, eh? That sure as hell doesn’t outspeed gengar. I guess his last guy can’t combat gengar. Maybe I have an endgame gengar sweep on my hands?
Porygonz used Dark Pulse.
It's super effective!
Gengar lost 109% of its health.
Uberiffic's Gengar fainted.
Uberiffic:3-Verast:3
Or he could have his porygon-z wearing an ugly little scarf. Although I have used porygon-z before, I have never used a scarf set before. I always used a standard nasty plot porygon-z with a baton passed agility or paralys support, or my own nasty plot and agility pory. Anyway, I suddenly realize I don’t have much to stop scarf-z. I could send in meta gross and probably 2hko with bullet punch, but he would just get walled by skarmory. I cannot send in azelf, obviously. Which leaves lickilicky. He’s pretty sturdy anyway.
Uberiffic switched in Lickilicky (lvl 100 Lickilicky ?).
Pointed stones dug into Lickilicky.
Lickilicky lost 12% of its health.
Okay, I’m 90% sure skarmory is coming in. Although if I try to predict skarmory coming in, if he keeps pory in, he could 2hko and rampage my team. If I explode here to take out this threat, but he switches in skamory, I will lose my best chance at winning. While it would still be possible, it would require perfect prediction. I finally decide to take the risk and predict the skarmory switch in-after all, lickilicky doesn’t have anyway to ko skarm short of a swords danced explosion right?
Verast switched in Skarmory (lvl 100 Skarmory ?).
Pointed stones dug into Skarmory.
Skarmory lost 12% of its health.
Lickilicky used Fire Blast.
It's super effective!
Skarmory lost 67% of its health.
Lickilicky lost 10% of its health.
Skarmory's leftovers restored its health a little!
Skarmory restored 6% of its health.
Wrong!! I’m actually running the new mixed set, but I guess you already knew that. I’m not using a different move, since that skarmory is making me really angry.
Now Barbeque that tin can!
Lickilicky used Fire Blast.
It's super effective!
Skarmory lost 66% of its health.
Verast's Skarmory fainted.
Lickilicky lost 10% of its health.
Uberiffic:3-Verast:2
Okay, since he probably isn’t sending porygon-z in now, since that would defeat the purpose of skarm switching in if he thought porygon-z could stop it, which means I will finally see his last guy…
Verast switched in Dusknoir (lvl 100 Dusknoir ?).
Dusknoir is exerting its pressure!
Pointed stones dug into Dusknoir.
Dusknoir lost 12% of its health.
Okay, a dusknoir. Don’t see to may of those. Anyway, I doubt lickilicky could defeat it, and even if he did, it would mean he would probably get burned in the process, and I would lose me best chance at killing pory since it would then probably since it might survive the explosion then. Meta can’t ohko either, not to mention he can’t switch in because of will-o-wisp. The only one who doesn’t mind getting burned that much is azelf, but dusknoir can probably beat azelf anyway, provived it has a ghost or dark move. However, I need to sac azelf to get as much damage on that thing as possible so meta can ko. So azelf, it’s off to the slaughterhouse…
Uberiffic switched in Azelf (lvl 100 Azelf).

Azelf used Psychic.
Dusknoir lost 55% of its health.

Dusknoir's leftovers restored its health a little!
Dusknoir restored 6% of its health.
Well, he get’s ko’ed by the next shadow sneak, but he’s weakened dusknoir enough to ko him with meta. There’s no point in switching him out here, since he gets killed by pory anyway.
Dusknoir used Shadow Sneak.
It's super effective!
Azelf lost 49% of its health.
Uberiffic's Azelf fainted.

Porygonz's special attack was raised.
Pointed stones dug into Porygonz.

Okay, I’m in a bit of a sticky situation. If lickilicky is my last pokemon, and I explode, it’ll be a tie really-provided self-ko clause isn’t on, which I’m pretty sure it is. Return might ko, but I doubt it. I could hope meta survives and ko with meteor mash-however, two bullet punches would no doubt ko, and it might even ohko. So bullet punch would be better an every way, since two punches would ko just like meteor, but bullet punch might let me ko and win if meta doesn’t survive. I’m to lazy to run calcs, so I’m not sure. Basically, I have two options: I can stay and meteor mash, which would have the same effect as sacking licky and bullet punches, or meta could die and I explode with licky, ending in a tie. Or I could sack licky and hope meta can get the job done with bullet punch. Basically, I can get a guaranteed tie, or I could take a risk and try to win. I’m in it to win it, going all or nothing, so I’m gonna sack licky.

Switched in porygon-z, eh? That sure as hell doesn’t outspeed gengar. I guess his last guy can’t combat gengar. Maybe I have an endgame gengar sweep on my hands?

Or he could have his porygon-z wearing an ugly little scarf. Although I have used porygon-z before, I have never used a scarf set before. I always used a standard nasty plot porygon-z with a baton passed agility or paralys support, or my own nasty plot and agility pory. Anyway, I suddenly realize I don’t have much to stop scarf-z. I could send in meta gross and probably 2hko with bullet punch, but he would just get walled by skarmory. I cannot send in azelf, obviously. Which leaves lickilicky. He’s pretty sturdy anyway.

Okay, since he probably isn’t sending porygon-z in now, since that would defeat the purpose of skarm switching in if he thought porygon-z could stop it, which means I will finally see his last guy…

Well there you go, my first warstory. For refence, here’s Verast’s team:

And one of the best parts-everyone did something! I hope articunus doesn’t mind, but I’ll use his format from his one warstory-(which is like my favorite). Anyway:
Uberiffic’s Team
Brongzong: set up stealth rock, crippled salamence Assists:1 KO’s:0 Total Damage:89% (note:if you count his stealth rock, brongzong got a ko and did like an extra 90% damage or something)
Lickilicky: ko’ed skarmory, gave his life so meta could get the final ko
Assists:1 KO’s:1 Total Damage:123%
Gengar: got a big hit on weavile (though I don’t think it was needed), ko’ed infernape, and scouted porygon-z’s item and move.
Assists:2 KO’s:1 Total damage:165%
Heatran: scared away skarmory so brongzong could do his thing, ko’ed weavile (and taught me infernape is faster than modest scarftran)
Assists:1 KO’s:1 Total damage:34%
Metagross: scared off weavile, ko’ed dusknoir, saved me from porygon-z.
Assists:1 KO’s:2 Total damage:170%
Azelf: took a burn, weakened dusknoir.
Assists:2 KO’s:0 Total damage:55%
Verast’s Team
Skarmory: set up stealth rock, gave dusknoir a free switch…mostly just got b-b-qed though
Assists:2 KO’s:0 Total damage:0%
Salamence: scouted meta’s move, giving a free switch
Assists:1 KO’s:0 Total damage:87%
Weavile: gave infernape a free switch (if had only done a little more damage to meta with night slash, Verast coulda won!)
Assists:1 Ko’s:0 Total damage:28%
Infernape: ko’ed heatran,(just as a note-I think the fire monkey is superior to the fire frog, but sadly, infernape doesn’t learn explosion-exploding fire monkey ftw!)and made sure pory got in safe.
Assists:1 KO’s:1 Total damage:137%
Porygon-z: ko’ed gengar and lickilicky, almost gave verast the match.
Assists:0 KO’s:2 Total damage:245%
