A tiny bit late, bit 48hr warning for all teams!
And we've also finished up the new balance changes!
Buffs:
Jokerpent
+20 Def +10 SpDef +Poison type +Barb Barrage +Sludge Bomb +Poison Jab.
It had competition with Craggon and defensive Llanfairwyrm as a defensive Dragon-type, and while Unaware was a unique trait, its middling defenses let it down on that role, so we decided to buff up its defenses, as well as make it a Dragon/Poison type, and due to its higher physical defense, it shouldnt overlap with other defensive Poison-types like Vipult and Arsenstorm, as they focus on special defense, unlike Jokerpent.
Blobbiam
+40 Def +10 SpDef +Knock Off, Heal Bell
Even after all of its buffs, it still wasn't enough to push Blobbiam to the spotlight, so we've tried repurposing its role, making it a strong, physically bulky pivot. We also added more tools for this role, as Knock Off lets it punish mons that are gonna commonly switch into it, like Vipult or Copperhead, while Heal Bell gives it a unique role as our only Heal Bell mon.
Kadraoke
+10 Def +5 SpAtk
The extra defense gives it a better time at setting up its Agility + Throat Spray ClangScales combo, and the extra SpAtk lets it keep up with the threats on the metagame.
Crystuit
+Levitate +Trailblaze +10 Def
With its Ground weakness gone, it is able to fire off its Meteor Beam more freely, as it wont be as pressured from mons that carry Ground-type moves, it also gets a small Def buff just in case, as for it to be safer against some of the mons that used to fire off Ground-type attacks at it like Capricorrie or Versalyre. It is also able to boost its speed now via Trailblaze, letting it take the upper hand against Scarf mons, at the cost of being open to any attack for a single turn.
Faeruin
+23 Spd
We belive this will make its Bulk Up sets way better, as with a single Rapid Spin, it gets to outspeed the entire metagame, including Scarf mons like Frostengu or Versalyre, letting it sweep more easily.
Drakkanon
+13 Spd
Drakkanon joins Big Scarf™. Drakkanon is now able to use its strong STAB moves without much fear of being outsped, which was its main drawback before, but now it'll be the fastest scarfer in the metagame, outspeeding the likes of Frostengu and Versalyre, who would otherwise be hard matchups for it.
Nerfs:
Parasike
-5 Atk -11 Spd
It was extremely hard to switch into, as its STAB Tinted Lens U-Turn could slowly chip away at a team, put a lot of pressure on switch-in via First Impression, while also being the fastest mon in the metagame, its speed nerf ensures it cant fire off its strong U-Turn against everything in the metagame that isnt a scarfer, and its also got an Atk nerf so it pressures the opponent a bit less with its First Impression.
Bugswarm
-Howl
Howl let Bugswarm break through its defensive checks with not much problem, and it melted through offensive mons with ease.
Eolikopter
-Roost
Its amazing type combination, paired with its amazing STAB moves, lets Eolikopter fire off strong moves while being able to resist many of the STAB moves from a plethora of offensive mons in the metagame, adding more longevity to it with Roost makes it way too strong, as it can keep firing off its STAB moves, and if its ever chipped down, it can heal back up and repeat.
Pinaturbo
-Fiery Dance
Fiery Dance gave Pinaturbo an easy way to get out of control for your opponent, as if it gets the 50% chance for a SpAtk boost, it can take down multiple mons before being forced to switch out, or even sweep out a team. The fact it also gets this boost by a chance makes this quite unhealthy too, as if you get lucky, it can quite basically work as a Torch Song on the fastest mon in the metagame.
Versalyre
-10 Atk -Earthquake +Drill Run
Its Atk was way too high for the metagame to handle, and not only that, but it was arguably the hardest mon to switch into in the format, due to Protean, its 120Atk and plethora of coverage, as well as STAB Brave Bird, it was one of the best Scarf mons. Earthquake was by far its best coverage move, as anything Brave Bird doesnt hit well, Earthquake did, making this a deadly combination, so we've removed Earthquake from it, and replaced it with a way weaker, and more unreliable attack in Drill Run.
Florustitia
-Psyblade +Poison Jab
The combination of Sharpness-boosted Leaf Blade, Sacred Sword and Psyblade covered all of the metagame, and due to its ability to boost up with Dragon Dance, it becomes a menace to the metagame, we've removed Psyblade in favor of a more managable coverage move in Poison Jab. Without Psyblade, mons like Fettogre, Arsenstorm and Lavalisk have a way easier time answering it.
Hippaint
-Hydro Pump
Its STAB Nasty Plot-boosted Water Shuriken is already an extremely strong tool, letting it deal with offensive threats, but with Hydro Pump it is also able to nuke most defensive threats that attempt to challenge it, so we belive its better to remove that tool.
Piss
-10 Atk -Howl, Accupressure
We belive its STAB MGLO Double-Edge and Extreme Speed is a bit too strong for the meta to handle, due to its Normal-type letting it hit most of the metagame for neutral damage. We are also removing Howl and Accupresure because we don't want to repeat what happened when Piss released, thankfully nobody these moves on its movepool while the tournament was happening.
Frostengu
-3 Spd
Small speed nerf, as we belive that its speed with Scarf, paired with STAB No Guard Blizzard and Focus Blast is a bit too much for the meta to handle, so it is now a bit slower than our other top Scarf mons, letting it be outspeed and knocked out by them most of the time.
