Good book please read :D

Rereading Three Dark Crowns (Kendare Blake), and somehow I forgot how awesome it is.

Basically, the plot focuses on an island kingdom, Fennbirn, sequestered from the rest of the world. Fennbirn has a less-then-traditional monarchy: each generation three triplet 'queens' are born. They each have different magical gifts, and they're raised by different families, but on the night they turn sixteen they're all given the same instructions: kill your sisters, and claim the throne.

The writing is fantastic, the plot is dynamic- it's pretty much a physical effort to tear myself away from the book. As someone with siblings, a story that portrays that relationship dynamic in such an enthralling way really reaches me. I can't really say much more without getting into spoilers, but what ensures is a brutal and captivating mess of outmaneuvering, backstabbing and bloodshed.

Summary: If you have siblings, and/or like high fantasy, I would HIGHLY recommend it.
