Bind -> Dig -> Dig

If Bind misses, use it again on the next action.
If the Taunt sub would actually trigger, change actions to Protect -> Bind -> Dig

NDA states Bind is canceled if the mon has to use the body-part it is using to Bind the target.
In Venu's case, these are his whips, while Dig uses the mon's paws. Therefore, theres no reason it would be canceled.
If that is the case though, i would like to re-order, as the NDA does not suggest such a thing.

If needed to be, make it a RP action that costs more energy.

(Frosty, IAR and WW agree that Bind shouldnt be canceled at all)

Edit: Also confirmed by Deck.

Whos to say the vines arent long enough? We do not know how high Aero flies or how deep down Venu goes. There are weider things in pokemon, as well. In addtion, thats how it works in-game.

Ok, technically it isn't the exact same body part but it seems like it's fairly unrealistic for Venusaur to leave its vines tangling Aero and burrow all the way underground to attack it from another place entirely...ref?

EDIT: Deck has ruled Matezoide's actions legal, Someoneelse may ref now

Round Six

After the fall of the two I-don't-even-know-anymores, two Poke Balls were silently thrown at the arena. On one side, another plant-mutated dinosaur, but this one on all fours, and with an enormous flower on its back. The other, yet another dinosaur (so many dinosaurs), but this one was airbourne, a stony, jagged pterodactyl, with enough weight to wonder how it can hold its own weight. Suddenly, a blinding flash of light erupted from both Pokemon. They had both changed, mutated once again; the grass lizard growing another flower on his head, and the pterodactyl gaining dark spikes over his whole body.

The pterodactyl screeched with pain and obscenities, untranslatable, but from his opponent's reaction, we can assume that it wasn't polite, to say the least. The Venusaur responded with what most people would do in this situation: strangling the offender. Vines went up, up, up, past the Aerodactyl; it looked like they weren't going to work, until, suddenly, they fell onto the pterodactyl, pushing it to the ground. It grabbed the pterodactyl by his wings, his head, and pretty much everything else, and tried to crush it. Unfortunately for him, the pterodactyl's tough stony exterior prevented most of the damage, although Venusaur kept squeezing.

Aerodactyl, enraged, but still enveloped in vines, glowed white, before stopping completely. Venusaur looked confused, but dug underground out of fear and anger, staying out of reach of anything threatening. Luckily for the floral dinosaur, it was a good call. The Aerodactyl charged at where he was a moment ago, only to find that he couldn't stop, until the vines were pulled to maximum stretch, breaking point. But didn't snap. Venusaur emerged, slightly dirty but otherwise undamaged, before repeating the process. Aerodactyl looks intimidating, Venusaur ducks underground, Aerodactyl looks stupid, Venusaur stays smug. Yeah.

*Phew* Thank god, no miss. Lets see if i can manage to not screw this up.

Switching! Ozzy out, Zero@ Rare Candy IN!

Smash cant switch out because of Bind (Confirmed with Deck and past precedence)!

Gyro Ball -> Rock Slide -> Gyro Ball

If Aero is under the effects of a damaging/evasive move, use Trick Room that action the first time, Reflect the second and Chill the third.

If Bide, use Trick Room that action and Reflect the next.

Taunt~Protect~Fly

I planned my whole battle strategy around being able to switch, meaning that I planned around Venusaur not having any trapping moves that would remain in effect if it switched. The NDA said I was right; after all, if Venusaur switches, Bind would obviously be cancelled by not having any body parts on the field. As you can imagine, the 'precedent' ruling (that goes directly against the NDA) that Bind does remain in effect has me a bit torn up x_x
Also no hard feelings toward Matezoide; don't hate the player, hate the game :D

Alright Ozzy, this is the match up you have been waiting for. Take him down!

You got it!

Earthquake -> Giga Drain -> Earthquake

If Excadrill is underground when you would use Giga Drain, use Earthquake that action and push-back.
If Excadrill is under the effects of a Protective/Evasive move, Chill that action and push-back.

Venusaur should have recovered some health with Giga Drain.

As for item, i said previously that i am allowing Smash to retroactively equip it. Hopefully he doesnt have an item that severely changes the round..

Okay, Excadrill has gained 3HP in the Post-Round through Leftovers recovery.

On the other points, I was informed a couple of weeks ago by IAR in his flash against ZhengTann that Giga Drain does not recover if it hits a Substitute. Furthermore, I have not changed Excadrill's defence, as it decayed through being used A1 and not saying it stops decay. Feel free to correct me if you can get sufficient evidence otherwise (a significant opinion counts).

I never said that it does not recover; if it hits a substitute & it breaks, then it uses the HP the substitute had beforehand for the purposes of recovery.
