Bottled water

About 7 minutes in:

"I've taken the liberty of bringing you a bottle of our Agua de Culo."

Oh yeah, I'd love me some ass water.

Anyway, we have 5 gallon bottles we fill up at a place nearby for a buck each . . . meh.

Yeah, in the other video, they name their wine "Chateau de Cul", French for Castle of Ass.

You're paying for the peace of mind that the water you drink is clean. There is no guarantee that tap water is clean, and if you did a nationwide study, I'm sure you would find no contest in the cleanliness between tap and bottled water. In the video, Penn and Teller compared New York City tap water to bottled water. As it so happens, NYC tap water is among the finest in the nation.

Whether it's "premium ice" (which comes from an iceberg!) or slapped with a brand name, water is water. The way people treated it in that video, as if they were sampling different wines, was pretty stupid. If you ever really are worried about the quality of your water, just get a brita filter or something.

I normally use tap water. Sometimes, I drink bottled water but I refill the bottle with tap water (usually water by my bedside). Spending money on something as basic as water is stupid, IMO.

I dont like tap water.. I think its rather disgusting. Still interesting but the water still tastes better so Ill still buy bottled water.

The first video showed that only a few people at the FDA controls bottled water regulations. (Actually, they said "Less than one person", because he spends his time looking over other stuff). On the other hand, the EPA uses many people to constantly regulate tap water. They also mention a loophole where bottled water companies don't have to have the FDA looking at them if they only ship the water in-state.

I haven't looked this up from an independant source however. But just in case you missed that part of the video...

I remember reading an article about this a few years ago. Regardless of how tap water may taste (being form NY, wouldn't know about all of the U.S.) it is true that there are simply less health restrictions on bottled water than tap. At any rate, I use Brita, so I can't really talk.

I get reverse osmosis water at work, and I can definitely taste the difference between it and tap water. Though the tap water is Flouridated so if you dont drink it you have to be careful about your teeth!

The water here is notoriously bad (taste wise, it is perfectly drinkable), as it is all river water, from a long river that goes through a lot of dairy farmland...

I also buy water while overseas, including in america, because it saves me the effort of figuring out whether the tap water is actually drinkable.. Of course I still wash my teeth with it anyway.

Have a nice day.

Honestly, I do drink bottled water occationally, but It's this cheap stuff I buy at my local kroger. I like tapwater with ice and drink it a lot. I only use bottled water for...

a) going to bed, and making sure I don't accidentally knock a cup over
b) For some reason, it has a distinct taste that I enjoy only in the cheap brand I buy, I hate alot of the other brands

I usually drink filtered water from a fridge, but when I'm going out I'm usually too lazy to store up cold tap water for personal use so I'll just waste money on cold water at 7-11 or something.

I am not convinced that water fluoridation is effective. The effects of fluoride are purely topical, meaning ingesting it does nothing. The time the water spends in your mouth is insignificant.

I drink bottled water, but only in certain instances. I drink bottled water at home because I have realy hard well water that tastes like crap, and occasion I will get it out of a vending machine if I want something cold, portable, and lacking sugar (I'm diabetic, and sometimes don't feel like taking insulin just over a drink sometimes). I don't spend much on bottled water, for home I just get the cheap gallon jugs.
