congrats BaconEatinAssassin for winning Round 7 with a total of 7 votes!
fun fact: He posted his core just 5 seconds before I was about to post my voting stage post :o

This week's team is submitted by Catalystic. Lets have a look!

This team is build around Calm Mind + Rest Primal Kyogre. It is paired with Arceus-Ground so that Primal Kyogre's biggest offensive threat, Primal Groudon, does not trouble the team. Arceus-Ground is Calm Mind as well which acts as our secondary wall breaker. Arceus-Poison is the main specially defensive wall which deals with every fairy type, Ferrothorn (thanks to Defog + Will-O-Wisp) and Marshadow. Primal Groudon makes sure that opposing Primal Kyogre does not beat our team and it also sets up Stealth Rock. Tyranitar fixes the Band Rayquaza and Ho-Oh weakness. It has Roar which phases out Vivillon and Sub + SD Ekiller. Rayquaza is Choice Scarfed which makes it the revenge killer of this team. It also has Extreme Speed which outspeeds +1 Adamant Dragon Dance Mega Rayquaza.
This is a very solid team and has won matches in the AG Open.

Friday is the deadline to submit a core that breaks this team.
Have fun!

SD Groundceus can setup and force a switch on Pdon, Arceus-Poison, Tyranitar, and Scarf M-Ray if they already revealed scarf and don't know your set. It is also capable of setting up vs CM Groundceus, but it isn't optimal to take 2 Icebeams for 80-90ish percent. The only mons who are able to stop SD Groundceus are Pogre, Tyranitar, Mray if you're chipped, and CM Ground if you've already exhausted the Z-move. Z-move always takes out one of those. The others need to be chipped with Earthquake. It's ideal get 1 chip Earthquake on Pogre, let Ekiller break Tyranitars shuca berry, and save Z move for CM Groundceus, then SD Ground can finally sweep.

Here is something we haven't seen much of in these break these teams cores: stall!

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Soft-Boiled
- Heal Bell
- Toxic
- Confide

Lugia @ Leftovers
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 Spe
Bold Nature
- Roost
- Toxic
- Whirlwind
- Ice Beam

Overall, I find that this team has a hard time beating stall. The two sweepers are CM groundceus and CM ogre and both struggle to break through chansey. Groundceus just gets toxic stalled easily and while ogre technically wins 1v1 because of pp, it basically can't set up at all because of confide and with special attack drops, the rest of the stall team can take on ogre easily. Scarfed M-ray is awesome, but sadly here it has a hard time breaking lugia has it avoids the 2HKO from dragon ascent/v-create even without multiscale active. Neither pdon nor ttar has rest so they also eventually fall to toxic, and every stall team has a strong anti-hazard core so rocks will almost surely be gone for good once pdon falls. Poisonceus of course walls these 2, but without perish-song+whirlpool stall teams have more than enough resources to shut it down.

Kyogre-Primal @ Blue Orb
Ability: Primordial Sea
EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 Spe
Lonely Nature
- Liquidation
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Rest

Marshadow @ Marshadium Z
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spectral Thief
- Close Combat
- Substitute
- Bulk Up

Cata's team is very weak to physical ogre, with 3 mons losing straight up and the other three being weak switchins. The only real problem for this ogre is the poisonceus which can wisp it, but this is mitigated via rest and the second half of this core- Marshadow. Cata's primary switchin to marsh is poisonceus, which is completely taken advantage of if you get a sub up. Once ogre has done a decent job weakening pdon/ray in the early game, this marshadow is very well positioned to sweep late game.

Rayquaza-Mega @ Life Orb
Ability: Delta Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Dragon Ascent
- Extreme Speed

Tyranitar @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 168 Def / 92 SpD
Impish Nature
- Pursuit
- Foul Play
- Low Kick / Roar / Rest / whatever
- Rock Tomb
Outrage on DD ray looks slightly cteamy and seems to be completely outclassed by ascent, but theres a few reasons why its better than ascent -
1) outrage doesnt drop defense which means that we dont get revenge killed by gengar or marsh or ice beam groundceus/waterceus
2) outrage hits rockceus and tyranitar for neutral damage unlike ascent
mega ray is pretty free to click outrage vs cata's team due to lack of dragon resists. this team's ray check is tyranitar, espeed ray and groudon. ttar gets 1hkod by outrage.
i have shuca berry ttar as my second teammate. this acts as my scarf ray switch in and traps it if it doesnt draco. shuca berry takes less damage from precipice blades so i can get enough chip on pdon with foul play so that i can sweep with my rayquaza (+1 outrage on pdon does 77-91).

setting up ray could be tricky but i think youd usually win with this core when youre playing vs his team.

congrats Fardin on winning round 8!
time for round 9!

This week, we're going to break a GEN 6 TEAM!
This week's team is taken (or stolen) from HunterStorm
This is a Mega Sableye stall team with 2 unaware walls, Quagsire and Clefable. Mega Sableye stops Deoxys from getting rocks up and it beats Skarmory, Ferrothorn, Taunt + Sludge Darkrai and Ekiller. Quagsire and Clef can deal with most of the set up sweepers. Clefable is the main Darkrai, Yveltal and CM arceus check on this team. Quagsire checks physical Ekiller, Ghostceus and other physical set up sweepers. Ho-Oh acts as the primary switch in to most arceus forms (thanks to its amazing mixed defenses and Regenerator). Giratina is the second hazard controller and it is the main physical wall. Groudon is the Primal Kyogre check and has Roar for phasing out set up sweepers/Rayquaza/Darkrai and Rest for longevity.

PLEASE SUBMIT A CORE THAT IS USABLE IN GEN6.
ill personally murder anyone who posts a gen7 core. (i wont, but please post a gen6 core)
also, please remember: the same Pokemon can only be used maximum two times per submissions round.

deadline to submit a core is Friday
have fun!

(submit a gen6 core, alright?)

When it comes to breaking stall in Gen 6 AG, this core does the trick like 90% of the time. Since Darkrai has no counters whatsoever, dealing with its relatively few checks is generally easy with a little trapping support. Against this team Sub + NP Darkrai works best because the only thing that deals with it is Clefable, which is incredibly easy to trap with Mega Gengar. Once Clefable is removed, Darkrai plows right through Hunter's team.

After looking at the team, I noticed that the team has a glaring weakness to magnet rise mega diancie. It outright beats 5 out of the 6 pokemon on the team. Moonblast takes care of mega sableye, quagsire and giratina. Earth Power + magnet rise allow it to easily beat groudon. Diamond Storm is for one hit ko on ho-oh and Magic Bounce means it won't be worrying about switching into status. Gothitelle is used to trap and beat clefable, the one mon that mega diancie cannot plow through.

Notable Calcs:
4- Atk Diancie-Mega Diamond Storm vs. 252 HP / 204+ Def Ho-Oh: 472-564 (113.4 - 135.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
