1. Nectrance-Bactravolt
2. Arctiquake-Wingala
3. Molaserum-Oxidibis

I'm very proud that even though we're a new mod we already get quality subs like those (all subs were really good this time it was so hard to vote haha)

Fakemon Name: Oakanda
Typing:

Ability: Battle Armor / Shed Skin | Anger Point (HA)
Stats: 75 / 115 / 130 / 70 / 85 / 55 | BST: 530
Moves: *Gets universal TMs
Physical: Power Whip, Wood Hammer, Gunk Shot, Poison Fang, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Crunch, Power Trip, Wrap
Special: Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain, Energy Ball
Status: Toxic, Glare, Leech Seed, Synthesis, Coil, Taunt
Design
: A large wooden snake, covered in green and purple vines.
Description: With a great defensive typing, critical hit immunity, and the ability to absorb Toxic Spikes, this thing is a massive thorn in the side of this team. It easily walls the entire team outside of Slowking's Future Sight, and can potentially stop Toxapex from using Haze with Taunt. It has a pretty great movepool, but it has 4MSS. The only real threat to a set of Taunt / Coil / Synthesis / Power Whip is getting Tricked by Magearna.

Fakemon Name: Amphen
Typing:

Ability: Pastel Veil
Stats: 60 / 65 / 70 / 110 / 105 / 100 | BST: 510
Moves:
Physical: U-turn
Special: Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Volt Switch, Ice Beam, Mystical Fire, Psychic, Psyshock, Air Slash,
Status: Calm Mind, Agility, Roost, Defog, Magnet Rise, Heal Bell
Design: Imagine a chicken that looks like the type combo.
Description: Pretty much a Fairy/Electric type with a Gen 1 Normal-type movepool. Thunderbolt threatens the whole team except Landorus, who doesn't like switching in that much thanks to Ice Beam.
Congrats to DuoM2 and Scoopapa for winning with Nectrance + Batravolt and Oakanda + Amphen, respectively!
How ties will be handled from now on (there was no tie this time, I just kinda forgot they could happen):
  • In case of a tie, the bonus vote will not count
  • The submission with the most amount of first-place votes wins the tie
  • If two submission got the same amount of each kind of vote, the winner will be randomly decided
SubmissionNumber of Votes
Nectrance + Batravolt (DuoM2)3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 2 (+1) = 15
Oakanda + Amphen (Scoopapa)2 + 1 + 1 + 3 = 7
Molaserum + Oxidibis (zxgzxg)1 + 1 + 2 + 1 (+1) = 6
Arctiquake + Wingala (BitBitio)2 + 2 = 4

This team has two of the fastest threats in OU: Spectrier and Dragapult! Now this team has some pretty unconventional sets: Banded Dragapult, Defog Hydreigon, and Block/Spite Toxapex. You have until Friday, January 1, 2021, to submit your cores. Have fun!

Melmetal is too big of a threat to your team, Easily Ohkoing Freezirror because double iron bash hits twice, as well as dealing enough damage to Schorchip to give spectrier a chance to sweep afterwards.

Schorchip's odds of OHKOing with fire blast are only 37.5%
252 SpA Houndoom Fire Blast vs. 88 HP / 156 SpD Melmetal: 390-462 (90 - 106.6%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

Not good enough odds to consider the team a "counter"

Average BST is 517,5.

Explanations: Hydreigon can't do much to Auround, which can safely switch-in and kill it with Moonblast. Spectrier doesn't do much to Tenebricada which OHKOs it with Dark Pulse. Lando can get burned by both and Tenebricadacan switch in onto it. Dragapult doesn't do anything to Auround and get burned and killed by Moonblast. Toxapex is killed by Earth Power and can't do much in return, and if it blocks Tenebricada it can switch-out with U-Turn. Melmetal can get burned by both and is then easily killed by Auround (and doesn't do much damage when burned). It's also outsped by both.

Melmetal is still too big of a problem, since scorchip cannot reliably switch into double iron bash multiple times.
Any situation where scorchip is forced out into freezirror makes melmetal freely able to come in and deal destructive damage.
The opponent can just sack pokemon to put themselves in that position reliably.

90 HP, 110 Defense, Resisted Hit... Scorchip can take DiB pretty well now.

Also i would recommend lowering some of Scorchip's stats. I personally wouldn't like introducing a 600 BST mon in the meta like that. O ther than that your sub seems good to me ! Don't take this as a negative comment or anything

Once again lmk if there are any issues, I know Magic Bounce is a powerful ability but I didn't have much time to complete these

Fakemon 1 Name: Inscuba
Typing: Bug/Water
Ability: Water Veil / --- / Magic Bounce
Stats: 110/80/80/80/80/50 (480)
Moves: Liquidation, Haze, Recover, Defog, X-Scissor, Leech Life, Aqua Jet, Scald, Surf, Hydro Pump, Bug Buzz, Waterfall, Ice Beam, Ice Punch, Brick Break, Close Combat, Toxic, universally learned moves

Fakemon 2 Name: Flarisp
Typing: Fire/Fairy
Ability: Flame Body / Illuminate / Shield Dust
Stats: 95/70/95/70/95/65 (490)
Moves: Wish, Protect, Taunt, Lava Plume, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Moonblast, Flare Blitz, Will-o-Wisp, Fire Punch, Shadow Ball, Shadow Sneak, Poltergeist, universally learned moves

Inscuba @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Liquidation
- Haze
- Recover
- Defog

Flarisp @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature

- Protect
- Taunt
- Lava Plume

Inscuba is the star of the show here, with its Sp. Def set hard walling Hydreigon, Landorus-T, and thanks to Magic Bounce, it beats Spectrier and Toxapex while doing great against Melmetal as well. It doesn't care about Will-o-Wisp, Toxic, or Block, has Haze to force Spectrier into an unboosted 65 BP move, and its type combination helps it wall Landorus-T and Melmetal, although Double Iron Bash can do up to 45% (38% at minimum) so you have to be cautious about chip. Toxapex can Knock Off its boots but you beat their only rocker very hard so that's not a big deal. I explicitly gave it Liquidation so you could break Spectrier subs easier.

Inscuba loses to Dragapult though, and it doesn't hurt to have a teammate to help it if it gets pressured hard enough by the rest of the team, so I made a wishpasser that accomplishes both of those things as a partner. It also beats Hydreigon and checks Spectrier and Toxapex thanks to Taunt. Toxapex knocking its boots normally would be an issue, but again, Inscuba should do a good job keeping Rocks away here. The threat of Lava Plume or Flame Body burning is also nice for Landorus-T and Melmetal.

Resist berries and Sash only really have specific uses. I'd recommend Heavy-Duty Boots for both these sets.
As for your open move slots, I'd recommend U-turn on Freezirror and Recover on Scorchip. U-turn lets Freezirror pivot out on Melmetal and Recover lets Scorchip outlast Melmetal and Hydreigon.
Another thing, please add a little more moves to your move pools. These might be special attackers, but there is no reason they shouldn't get physical moves too.

Once again lmk if there are any issues, I know Magic Bounce is a powerful ability but I didn't have much time to complete these

The threat of Lava Plume or Flame Body burning is also nice for Landorus-T and Melmetal.

also gimme teams >:)
