Opposing Arceus-Ghost with Multitype and presumably no plate? was displayed as Normal-typed, which is how Multitype works as far as I know. Then it terastalized into Ghost, but for some reason kept its Normal-typing instead of becoming Ghost-type? It was unaffected by Last Respects and took supereffective damage from Close Combat.
Also, my imposter Chansey was holding a Spooky Plate, but when it transformed into Multitype Arceus, it remained Normal-typed instead of becoming a Ghost.

BUG STATUS: NEEDS MORE RESEARCH on how Arceus works with Terastallization (DaWoblefet)

(Gen9) Salt cure vs tera water mon. If i use salt cure vs a mon and it later terastilizes to a water type the damage stays 1/8th even if the attack is performed again. Im not 100% sure how it works in game because I dont have the ability to test but I think it might? Be bugged.

minor bug: Armor Tail display the interaction in a wrong way:

The opposing Dragonite used Extreme Speed! [The opposing Dragonite's Armor Tail] Farigiraf can't use Extreme Speed!

basically it inverts the ability's and move's users. The effect works correctly aside of that. It adds the move used by the opposing pokemon to farigiraf's movepool when you move your cursor though, giving you the hint of zoroark/zorua when it surpass the 4 moves amount:

Bug: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/1v1-metagame-discussion.3710864/post-9406323

Basically Shed Tail, in 1v1 (and likely when last Pokemon standing), is acting as a free Substitute for no HP loss. I just tested on my console, and this is not how the interacting works. It should be giving a "But it failed!" message and do nothing instead. If proof of this is necessary, I can videotape the interaction.

credit to lavarina for reporting the bug in the 1v1 forum!

Bug:

Speed Swap Bug.png

Terrastalizing resets Speed Swap. Not sure if the opposing Pokémon only regains its original speed or if the Speed Swap user also loses the stolen speed, but either way it doesn't seem like something that should be happening.

BUG STATUS: FIXED at some point

minor visual bug with shed tail: if used whilst leech seeded, the recipient pokemon will (on the shed tail user's side) have neither sub or leech seed visually active, whereas the leech seed user will see both active. leech seed is, as far as i can tell, not supposed to be transferred to the shed tail recipient. doesn't happen in replays.

BUG STATUS: CONFIRMED - MECHANICS (CLIENT) (DaWoblefet)

I'm not sure if anyone has reported this before, but I was in this match against somebody using Tatsugiri + Dondozo, and for some reason they were able to activate commander twice, which to my knowledge is not how it works in-game.

For further reference, I quote the Gen 9 battle mechanics research forum below:

BUG STATUS: FIXED by Karthik (the bug was that Dondozo can be Roared)

I don't think baton pass is working as it should in game. (or it may be a visual bug) see the end of the game linked here.

Flutter mane doesn't have the stats that should be passed from scream tail.

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9monotype-1717551417

Same thing here on turn 10 from scream tail to azumarill

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9monotype-1717560363-tqvnrysqk6jerij2x041qtnb7ttye18pw

Have just watched the replays as they are linked here and it appears the baton pass is working. This doesn't show when playing the game live but I assume the stats are being carried across just not being shown as being raised.

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, Paradox Ability boosts can't be Baton Passed (DaWoblefet)

Re-Evolution Mod triple-applies when a Pokemon Terastalyzes. For example, my Baxcalibur went from the expected base 195 attack to Max 255, its base speed went from 112 to 162, etc. More details are discussed within the replay chat.

Another replay example:

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, there's nothing objective about these mods, so if you disagree with the behavior currently implemented, take it up in the appropriate OM thread (DaWoblefet)

Played a game of DPP NU where the clause as listed at the top of the battle is this:
Baton Pass Clause: Limit one Baton Passer, can't pass Spe and other stats simultaneously

I used a team that has historically been legal and functioned properly that contains an Agility + Baton Pass Gligar. It has no ability to boost other stats. The team was accepted as legal. However, in battle, when I used Agility and then Baton Pass, it successfully used Baton Pass but did not actually pass the speed boosts.

Weirdly, they show in the replay, but did not during the game itself.

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, this was either fixed or I cannot reproduce it (DaWoblefet)

Hi, Wind Rider is not working as intended on Showdown

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-1717696613-wpkj85e2sstypfce1at9kszfl71uebwpw

I set up tailwind with my Kilowattrel then volt switched into my Brambleghast with Wind Rider. Tailwind did not activate the ability and give it the +1 attack boost, which is what occurs when you do this in game. In other words, Tailwind doesn't need to be set up for Wind Rider to work, it just needs to be active.

When terastalized pokemon attacked by Soak, terastalized pokemon's type is changed into water.
but in Pokemon SV, Soak is not work for terastalized pokemon.

BUG STATUS: FIXED, or minimally Soak doesn't work on Terastallized Pokemon now, which is how I'm understanding this post (DaWoblefet)

Currently it seems that Tera is bugged with transformation pokemon (and I tacked on a stuggle issue). The two which I have primarily tested are Aegi and Palafin. Both do slightly different things, but it seems to trigger on switch in. There are plenty of replays down below to reproduce the issue to help explain what is happening.

Essentially, the wrong tera type is assigned to Palafin, and Aegislash is... well... as buggy as ever.

## Original Incident:

Replay of source of bug: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-1717773470

## Notable turns:

Turn 16 - Palafin teras into Psychic Type

Turn 23 - Palafin switches back in and is now Water type

## Steps to reproduce

1. Have a Palafin with a tera type which isn't water.
2. Tera Palafin into said tera type (in the replay example, this is psychic)
3. Switch out Palafin (this works with both flip turn, and just switching)
4. Palafin transforms
5. Palafin switches back in and tera type will now be water

Isolated reproduction: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-1717782638

## More incidents:

### Aegislash

Replay: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9nationaldexag-1717789017

Explanation: Aegislash will switch in as the form that it was tera'd as. In this case it was sword. It only retains its tera type if it is in sword form. It will switch in as sword form despite how it was switched out.

Replay: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9nationaldexag-1717794701

This ones shows how Aegi works when you tera as shield form. You never get to get your tera back until you switch out and back in.

### Struggle

Replay: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9nationaldexag-1717797002

In this replay I was testing Ditto, but it seems to work as intended(?) where you get the tera of the mon that you transform into (I cannot confirm if this is the in game behavior).

However, I was then struggling after getting taunted. I could not tera my ditto at that point. It was struggle or do nothing. Tera wasn't an option. I'm not sure if that is an intended mechanic, but I figured I'd report it anyways to check.

This seems to be an issue with how transformation pokemon are handled, and/or when tera is checked when you switch back in a pokemon? I didn't see this on the bug roadmap. Sorry for the Markdown formatting, I originally was going to submit this as a github issue but found this thread instead.

This (potential) Bug came from an attempt to use the new move rage fist in combination with population boom to get a 550 bp move, however despite this it barely did 71% against a pincurchin, which when calced gives:

At Best:
0 Atk Primeape* (No Move)** vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Pincurchin through Reflect: 386-455 (162.8 - 191.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

At Worst:
0 Atk Primeape* (No Move)** vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Pincurchin through Reflect: 247-291 (82.3 - 97%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

* modified to have annihlape's stats and typing, ** custom 550 base power ghost move which should be what rage fist's BP is

the same thing happens with grimmsnarl

At Best:
0 Atk Primeape* (No Move)** vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Grimmsnarl: 526-619 (158.9 - 187%) -- guaranteed OHKO

At Worst:
0 Atk Primeape* (No Move)** vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Grimmsnarl: 312-368 (79.1 - 93.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

* modified to have annihlape's stats and typing, ** custom 550 base power ghost move which should be what rage fist's BP is

i have provided a replay with both occurances of this in action at turn 2 and 1 for pincurchin and grimmsnarl respectivly https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9doublesou-1717796638

i also have checked various websites for information of rage fists and the way it works with the only found is that the move counts each hit of a multi hit move as 1 hit, with places like bulbapedia saying as such https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Rage_Fist_(move)

maybe i am missing something but it just doesn't seem right

Seems the legality in Gen 9 BSS is a bit wonky. Specifically, I got a report regarding Scald being legal on Toxapex in gen 9 BSS. I tried with some other Pokémon as well that I know tend to run Scald and quite a few were legal. See screenshot below.

I think it might still be using gen 8 legality?

BUG STATUS: FIXED at some point (I could have sworn it was Kris but I can't find the commit)
