Hello, a recent battle I had ( https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9vgc2024regf-2016429104-d1y525temukrspneobwxb1gpmv8yab6pw ) showed me that the interaction between the move Syrup Bomb and the ability Competitive was bugged. On cartridge, each time a Pokemon with Competitive has their Speed lowered by the syrup, Competitive activates (which I've confirmed and can show a video of unless you want to confirm it yourself). In the match however, the syrup did not activate Milotic's Competitive.

In a recent gen 9 randoms battle, I had an Urshifu Rapid Strike using Surging Strikes get blocked by an opponent Sylveon's Protect. Third to last turn in this replay.

Urshifu in random battles can get Punching Glove as a damage-boosting item, but this makes punching moves (Surging Strikes in this case) non-contact, making the moves no longer affected by Unseen Fist.

Unseen strike only work with contact move and the gloves neutralize the contact of the pokemon with the oponente with punching-like atack (the signatura move of urshifus are punch)

In this user's replay, Skill Swap Malamar is able to transfer Protosynthesis between pokemon. This is not the proper interaction and does not occur this way on cart

Skill Swap and Doodle will fail if either Pokémon has Protosynthesis. Worry Seed, Gastro Acid, Role Play, and Entrainment will fail if the target has Protosynthesis. Protosynthesis cannot be copied by Receiver and Trace or replaced by Lingering Aroma.
 
Before i can set flamethower to exegguttor, why not in this moment, adicionaly, in the teambuldier say i can set flamethrower, this bug is actual and in before hours i can battle with this "illegal" exeggutor.

Update, the Extra is canon
The bug of the magician steal the object is real (this bug as found in partner in crime, but is aparently posible to reply in Normal 2vs2 battles)

Exeggutor has its moves merged with its alolan form which is why you can use illegal moves like flamethrower and Draco Meteor on it

Hi, while reviewing some of my replays from the main server, it seems that my saved private replays can be accessed without a suffix -- is this intended?

Details:
  • The example replay does not show up when searching for public replays for that account, so it still seems to be marked as private, it's just that no suffix is required to find it.
  • This seems to be the case for all of my recent ladder games with private replays. I enforce private ladder replays by having "Do not allow spectators" checked before searching for a battle.
  • Private replays from recent room tours where I've explicitly used /hidereplay seem to require suffix as expected.
Steps to reproduce:
  1. I have the "Do not allow spectators" checkbox checked
  2. I search for & play a ladder game
  3. I save the replay using the "Upload and share replay" button, receiving a link with the suffix in return
  4. Replay link now works with & without suffix
Let me know if any more information is needed from my end, thank you!

This is because the only reason Air Balloon is shown usually is because of the activation message, which happens on the first turn the Pokemon is sent out. However, this message doesn't show up if the user is forced to be grounded (due to gravity), meaning that once Gravity gets removed, the pokemon still secretly has Air Balloon.

Kingambit has an Air Balloon, but it doesn't show up. (Turn 18, 19)
The tooltip for Hypnosis does not have an indicator on whether or not it is bounceable (Turn 10, 11)


This is because Gravity is active¸, which does not display the Air Balloon activation message.
 
When I play Random Battle Blitz, my opponent disconnected and the system message said that they had a minute to reconnect when in reality it was only about 5 or 10 seconds before my opponent ran out of time and lost. I guess just change the system chat message for blitz specifically?

hi everyone. Unfotunately you cant see it in screenshot but i found this interaction interesting and i wanted to see if it was known or not? Showdown Halves the bp of a move when you are burnt. in turn 9 of this battle, I tera ground with excadrill and get burnt by flare blitz. Usually earthquake would be 50bp but its raised to 60 with tera. does cartridge work this way? i know showdown halves the base power of a move when you are burnt, but i dont think thats how cartridge works

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG
:furret: In reality the burn modifier is a final damage modifier so the tera buff doesn't touch it. If the tooltips show a change to the Attack stat or move power for Burn, then it's just for convenience, it's not really what's going on under the hood.

Not a bug I think, but the Upper Hand description states "Has a 100% chance to make the target flinch. Fails if the target did not select a priority move for use this turn, or if the target moves before the user." However, it should be "Has a 100% chance to make the target flinch. Fails if the target did not select an attacking priority move for use this turn, or if the target moves before the user." Thought it worked against Prankster attacks.
 
In game, the 4 new paradoxes are set to have 20 in every IV, meaning the only legal IV values for them in any stat are either 20 or 31 if you use a bottle cap. This isn't the case on Showdown as you can set any value and it'll be valid.

In addition to this terapagos is hardcoded to be 31/15/31/31/31/31. Would be great if this could be implemented for regulation F VGC and the blueberry prologue ladders at least (now that we know terapagos is legal there).
