Bulky Offence

This is my latest team. I'm normally way more on the offence but wanted to try a bulky offence team for once. I did go up a bit on the ladder, but the battles were mainly just to find weaknesses, some of which I have already fixed. I enjoy this team but am open to change. Be as ruthless as you want, but back up anything with valid reasons. Thanks for rating!

swampert-1.png

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Def
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Roar
I love a Swampert lead because he beats literally every lead (except Energyball Gengar and Grass Knot Starmie but those aren't that common). I pretty much set up Rocks, maybe attack once, and get him out as he is my electric type imunity for Skarmory and Vaporeon. Earthquake and Ice Beam are for attacking mostly later in the game. I love phazing with this team so I use Roar instead of Waterfall or Protect.

roserade.jpg

Roserade (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/120 Spd/136 SAtk
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Sleep Powder
- Toxic Spikes
- Shadow Ball
- Leaf Storm
I was originally going to have a lead Roserade, but didn't want it dying to soon. I normally send it out second depending on the situation to get Toxic Spikes up ASAP. It's more defensive because I don't want it dying. If I expect a switch, Sleep Power it is. Shadow ball is a nice attack for Rotom and Gengars, but Leaf Storm is my main STAB attack and I use it more often.

skarmory.png

Skarmory (M) @ Shed Shell
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP/64 Atk/176 Def/16 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Spikes
- Whirlwind
Skarmory is my spiker. This is a general set and doesn't require to much explanation. Set up spikes, Roost off any damage, phaze a bit after entry hazards are in place, and attack if needed. Nothing special about it.

Vaporeon.jpg

Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP/252 Def/68 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Surf
- Ice Beam
Vaporeon is my Wish support unit. I love having a Water type imunity, and it's nice synergy with Heatran. Wish/Protect allows me to take up more turns and let Toxic Spikes do their nasty work (exception with Steel types). Surf and Ice Beam are just more attacks. I pass Wishes to wounded team mates to hopefully prevent any fainting.

Rotom-H.png

Rotom-h @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/88 Spd/168 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Overheat
- Will-o-wisp

heatran.png

Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
- Explosion
Scarftran is one of my favorite Scarf users. Come in on the Fire attack, and proceed to sweep with Fire Blast, or whatever is most usefull at the time. This is my main sweeping unit on the team, and my main, if not only, Blissey counter. All the attacks are standard. I choose Heatran cause I didn't want to be a full stall team for now, but I might change that later if there are better suggestions.

That's my team, it wins more than it loses so far, but I think there's room for quite a bit of improvement. I have noticed that if Heatran is dead, Blissey is a bitch to this team. I also hate Starmie, but Rotom can handle it normally, but he's about it. Be as mean as you like, as long as you support any critizism/corrections and don't just point out what needs fixing. Thanks again for rating!

Google is your best friend for pictures, FYI.

Anyways, hiya! Cool team you have here. Hopefully I can point out some problems and fix them.

This team is heavily dependant on Heatran to revenge things, and once Heatran is dead, you might as well say GG after a DD sweeper obtains +1 and begins to sweep your team clean. I can't really pick off anything to help this much, but I will suggest you test out Latias (either Scarf or Specs if you feel another Scarfer is redundant). Choiced Latias wields Trick in her arsenal, which means that when you feel like you are having trouble with a set-up sweeper and have nothing else to do, Trick the Specs/Scarf away. The option between Specs and Scarf is based on what you feel your team needs. If you feel like you can bluff a Scarf with Specs, go right on ahead; Specs Latias hits like a truck even to those that resist it. If you feel like you might have trouble bluffing a Scarf against +1 DD Mence (what you seem to be having trouble with ATM0, then go right ahead and opt for Scarf; you lose some power for more speed. Basically the argument is simply power > speed and vice-versa.

Hope I helped.

Like the other guy said, DD mence kinda screws you. Also you said at the beggining that leadpert beats most leads, but almost every single taunt user will outrun you, and Azelf will use a combination of taunt to stop your SRs, stealth rock of its own, and then explode, unless you plan on not trying to get up stealth rocks, you could be at a major disadvantage early on... Also sacrificing him in any way means you lose one of your pseudo hazers, which is never good.

I say Swampert wins because I know who Taunts me, so I always attack on the Taunt, such as Azelf or Aerodactyl. I rarely faint to another lead. I will test Latias because I was also thinking about that. I don't think 2 Scarfers is redundant, but a Specs might work better. I'll test both and see which benefits me more.
