Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
The sooner you can get this match done the better, if possible by Friday 1st November would be good. Since this is the last match, I'll post the round 4 matchups now so people can schedule asap,
Ya know what ? Would like to call AW, it's been almost 2 days since I asked for a schedule time, opp have been online since I asked on his profile but didn't answered, not gonna lie, pretty boring of people who takes an eternity to answer, just would like to play CamUUmons..
I had a lot of fun playing this tour, despite ultimately losing in the finals. Gz to Mygrein for winning and thanks to the hosts Estarossa and Juuno. Hopefully you guys host more of this or something similar in the future. I also had a lot of fun teambuilding for this meta, especially for R2 onward as the freeing of Mew really opens up a lot of possibilities for balance teams. I can also post my teambuilder if there is interest.
See you guys in gen 8!
EDIT: As promised I'm dropping some teams here.
1) Double trap sand BO - I used this team in G2 of finals, which was a mistake in hindsight as it's built to pick apart balance cores featuring steel types and the occasional ghost to free up Stoutland spamming Return. Bringing it vs an HO player was not the best idea. Still I think stoutlands sand boosted speed tier can do work vs offense teams as well.
2) MAero + double CM balance - I used variations of this team all the way till finals (in the beginning i had Chesnaught over Mew) and it has performed very well. In finals I was very scared of Mew being magnet pulled which lead to some suboptimal plays - so shed shell should definitely be ran. Other than that I think CeleMew + Bliss + Quag check the majority of offensive threats on their own, so this has been my go-to anti offense team throughout the tour. MAero is ran as a fast hard hitting mon to provide some offensive pressure, which the team otherwise lacks.
Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 248 HP / 240 Def / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
- Iron Head
- Roost
- Defog
- Will-O-Wisp
3) Salazzle + Reuni balance - I only used this team once and put Ice/Ground Kyurem on it, which meant it was walled by LatiPex which practically everyone was using, so it should probably be made into a different typing (Dragon/Steel perhaps) or just replaced w something else. Other than that i really like Corrosion Sal as an anti meta option with everyone stacking poison+steel types on their teams. Once Salazzle has poisoned the maority of the opposing team, Reuni can set up a few times and win.
4) Mbee + Scarf haxor magpull - the team I used in semis. The idea here was to trap Steel/Flying mons so that scarf haxorus can sweep w EQ, since most ppl rely on levitaters as their ground immunity.
