Threads been kinda slow today! I think the new colorscheme suits the fighting typing a lot more. Lemme know what you think!
The new colors are great. I think that you should keep the arms posed the way they are and put him on the cloud like he was on your last post. Your panda and aragornbird's hero bird have my votes.Threads been kinda slow today! I think the new colorscheme suits the fighting typing a lot more. Lemme know what you think!
Couldn't agree with this more. I'd like to see you try the bamboo hair again, but this time coloring it brown, a la dried bamboo shoots? I feel like it could work with the new color scheme.Sentret I personally think this color scheme change is a move in the right direction.
Before I was trying to find where the fighting was in your drawing but now it definitely shows elements of fighting in it.
I feel like mixing the new colors with the old, more air wave-y design would provide the best overall results.
But that's just me.
As far as the eyes go, I feel like Electrode-style eyes would actually look pretty good on either iteration of the Pokemon.@Fate
Methinks the eyes look too kirby-esque. Also, it seems like the design has difficulty showing the 70 speed (it didn't stop vodoom but hey).
Otherwise, the design is very nice.
Beard is a bit confusing, but otherwise, this is my favorite. I love it.http://www.smogon.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=414&pictureid=6925

Okay, I know this was a few pages back, but I just want to point out this is a MASSIVE misconception. Bird wings are insanely strong, developed over the period of evolution for long term flight. Being hollow doesn't give birds bones any less strength. Chicken bones have been shown to withstand more during stress tests than a similarly massed piece of industrial steel!!One thing I am having a hard time reconciling with the current iteration of my design and the designs of a lot of others is the idea of winged arms being used for fighting. Winged arms just seem too fragile, if you try to work out some sense of anatomy it just seems to bring in too many small bones - not enough bulk for punching and too many things to maneuver quickly and fluidly. Membranes are also maybe too delicate. That leaves wings on the back or no wings at all. Hm.
