Electric/Poison gives us a good mix of offensive and defensive, and forces our mon off the bat to choose between strong coverage, extremely strong STAB, or a support/boosting move.

Grass/Ghost is good defensively and decent offensively, but doesn't have the option of "extremely strong STAB" moves with sketch because there really aren't any. However it will still have to choose between coverage and boosting/support moves.

Psychic is decent offensively and decent defensively, but is weak to a bunch of common attacking types. It will also have to choose between powerful STAB that is resisted by Steel/Dark, powerful coverage moves, and interesting support options (since I can't see boosting being useful depending on the moves it gets).

Electric/Poison is interesting and unorthodox, much like Grass/Ghost. I picked the first one first because it juts appealed to me more, as both roughly share the same concept: One great STAB. Mono-Psychic is pretty "wtf how did this get on the slate", but it's better than shoving another Dragon into OU. STAB Outrage+Draco Meteor+Sacred Fire/V-Create/Shell Fucking Smash is not what we need.

I'm unhappy that Normal/Ghost was not put on the slate, despite its decent public support, but I guess the TL chooses the slate.

Electric/Poison is a intriquing typing that looks easier to balance than some of the others.

Pure Psychic is an interesting typing for this CAP, since it's weak to both U-Turn and Pursuit. However, I think that in itself makes it a good typing for this mon.

I am strongly against a Dragon type for this CAP, because Dragon is already an incredibly powerful STAB and I'm afraid it'll just end up as Draco Meteor/HP Fire/coverage/Shell Smash.

I seriously dislike Grass/Ghost as well. Grass has terrible offensive coverage and has 4 weaknesses...on its own. When it combines with Ghost, it gains another weakness, putting it at 5 2x weaknesses. With that in mind, I cannot in good conscience recommend a typing with 5 weaknesses and bad coverage for a bulky attacker mold.

It's blatantly obvious that the sketched move will in 90% of cases be shell smash or spore. With that in mind let's not give it a stupidly good offensive typing like dragon or a stupidly good defensive typing like grass / ghost.

Disappointed in the lack of Steel / Electric and Rock / Electric but it's okay, Poison / Dragon's fine. And actually, they might not just sketch shell smash or spore. Sacred Fire would round out a Poison / Dragon's coverage, and something like Gear Shift works much better on a bulky offense mon.
