CAP 13 CAP 2 - Part 8 - Name Submissions

The final hour is upon us.

I'm torn between:

Allureum (Allure + Rheum) (Rheum is a plant)

and

Grimoirge (Grimoire + mirage/grudge)

and

Clairvoyel (Clairvoyant + belle)

If anyone can give me any imput that'd be vastly helpful.

P.S.

Jibaku: I like damselure better, but Damseloom is a bit darker, which also fits.
Elemental penguin: Faith is something not many people have considered (besides for my self) It's also very important for mikos. I think you use it well, as I can honestly say that it suits the picture.

I really like this; it's multifaceted, flowing, and aesthetically pleasing. Your use of the -oom suffix is creative and clever, nice work.

Etymology: Shaman + Mantra
Pronunciation: Shuh-Mahn-Truh

I do hope you slate this, even though it's your own. It's a simple portmanteau, but it segues nicely, and it emphasises the ghostliness of the Pokémon, which sets it apart from a lot of submissions that focus on the plantness.

Alright, I decided I'd like to do more in this thread than simply post my submission and run away, lol. I won't be able to do as many as Quanyails did in their first post so I'll just pick out a few I think really work.

Deck Knight: Auwreith is very creative, but I have to agree with one of the latter posts that the spelling feels a little bit weird, probably the 'uw' part. Nevertheless, I still like it.

Quanyails: Mystress flows easily, and is simple but effective in conveying the word bases you used. I don't really have much else to say, except I really like this one.

Rising Dusk: While I kind of thought it didn't feel right at first, I feel that the name actually really fits the CAP now. I think the 'tra' or something may be what lead one of the other posts to feel it sounded a bit masculine, but it doesn't really. It also sounds a bit similar to the name 'Samantha' which helps the whole female thing (dunno what Samantha actually comes from, but eh).

Yilx: I have to agree with the poster that said the 'millia' part worked, but the 'nana' felt a bit obscure to those who weren't following the art threads. The name does sound good though.

Stellar: Thisyl sounds good, and I agree with your comments on why you chose the name. However, I can't help but feel the 'y' just makes the name one of those Xtreme Kool words - personally I find it distracting, but your mileage may vary. It seems popular though, so it must be working xD

Master of the Six Kings: Poisesse is a great name, along with Quanyails' name in my book. I don't really have anything to say unfortunately, like with Mystress, lol.

srk1214: I'm kind of disappointed you didn't go with Deja Venus, because I really liked that one, lol. Otherwise, I have to agree with Rising Dusk in that it sounds a bit too vicious, but Scrytrap is still cool.

Midnight Shadow: Willowitch is clever pun, as others have said. I don't really have much to say except that the fire association of Will-o-Wisp kind of distracts me, but like Stellar's, your mileage may vary.

Jibaku: Damseloom sounds great, and is a good mix of words, whether the 'oom' is from 'doom' or 'shroom' or whatever. Besides possible association with Bellosoom, but the two words would sound very different when said out loud so I don't have a particular problem with that.

There have been some other good names I haven't commented on, mainly because I think the 24 hours is almost up, lol. Good luck everyone :D

Alright guys, feedback. Even if you already did yer final submissions I'm still offering feebback. *cracks knuckles*

Swaggersaurus - Hellavera - Pretty cool. Gives off some interesting hell-related imagery, but I like it. Simple and rolls off the tongue.
ReshiramBlitz - Carnaiden - Interesting, and much better than your first one. Seems a bit difficult to pronounce in my opinion, but it's still fairly effective.
Bork - Vesta - Pretty nice. Got a great sting to it that still feels feminine.
Quanyails - Mystress - Spelling seems kind of clumsy, but it's real nice to pronounce, and certainly simple.
Skore - Systoll - I think your decisions for what to use may have been a bit of a far stretch. I like the name, but people may not make the connection.
Galladiator - Spirivine - It's simple to understand, but... it kind of feels repetitive, or awkward.
Pwnemon - Skultrap - There's not really anything skull-related about the mon. It may not be best to bunch everything death- or ghost-themed into the ghost type.
Andalite191 - Torephet - I quite like it. It looks a bit odd, but it sounds really nice. Also, great avi.
Birkal - Avineux - I really love this one and I don't quite know why. I especially like how vine is snuck in there without actually being the main focus of the word.
SamTheMan - Vinecra - I dunno, it seems... obvious? I don't really feel anything special about it.
Kaprikorn - Wraithorn - It's pretty nice I guess. Quite simple.
SubwayJ - Develle - I see where you're coming from, and it's a nice try, but there's no devil theming in the design. See my critique to Pwnemon for more info.
Rediamond - Necturna/Necturne - I really love this one, especially when I saw it ending in an e. Fits very nicely with the whole ceremonial dance thing that shrine maidens do.
Snorlaxe - Fantoleur - It seems a bit obvious. I don't find anything wrong with it, but I also don't feel anything special about it.
Doran Dragon - Preiko - This is the one I like best. Simple and effective, also inventive.
Project Mars - Scrysen - I love this. It stings swiftly like the bite of a flytrap, yet it ends in a nice elegance. Quite fine indeed. *strokes mustache and sips wine*
Midnight Snow - Willowitch - Really? It's not even witch-related. I like where you started with the will-o-wisp and the word play, but... I don't know. I prefer your other names, but I feel the other ones are not as memorable because this one got my critique on.
Swords Dance - Azuvene - I really love this one. It's spectacular. Your Twislet was good too, but this one is the one I prefer. A bit clumzy to get used to, but once you do, it just looks and sounds so great.
Icydude168 - Etheroot - This is the one I prefer, and it's quite nice. The other one, I'll agree with whoever said that it would fit a poison fart guy. But Etheroot is really groovy.
Rising dusk - Shamantra - I kinda quite like this one. It's simple, and it somewhat fits. Also rolls off the tongue. Pretty good.
Temperanti - Demele - This is the one I prefer the most. I would add an extra l if you're going for the whole feminine thing, just to get the french spelling proper. Lileter is kind of silly.
Lunar Fist - Belladonna - I kinda like this one, and it is simple. It does, however, remind me of Madonna. I don't know if that's a bad thing.
Reikku - Clairasia, Grimoirge - These are my favorite. I especially love your going into grimoire-based stuff that no one else has yet.
Erisaiscape - Voyantrap - I see what you did there. It takes a bit to realize the basis of the name, but it's pretty good. It also looks like it might be a villain's name, like Dr. Von Trap or something.
Baydren - Envineous - I don't really like how vine is put in here. If it's like en-vine-ous, it seems like the vine was just slapped in with no other thought; if it's en-vin-e-ous, that's confusing; however, the rest of it seems like it would be nice if the vine was pruned a bit more.
LouisCyphre - Phantrap - Simple and nice. Rolls off the tongue. I think Dr. Phan Trap may team up with Dr. Von Trap in an epic 2-episode mini-arc.
Typon77 - Shaydorn - Reminds me too much of Shaymin, and the dorn part sounds clumsy.
Snargie - Vinesse - Simple and effective. Like it, love it, lock it, pop it, twist it, flick it, smack it, bop it. (but I seriously do love it)
Sb879 - Sakaura - Same as above. Really great.

Now what the fuck was mine again.

I'm thinkin' o' changin' Cloraith to Coloraith, making it more related to sketching; however, I mustn't f'rget that the mon doesn't actually colour.
Also, Veiness, my preferred entry for today, a simple mix of venus and priestess. Also a misspelling of Vine managed to sneak its way in thar.
