CAP 30 - Part 10i - Item Forme Stat Spread Submissions

This spread is very close to Miasmaw, having an awkward Speed tier and a very high Attack stat. The defenses are what I would describe as "fine" but nothing stands out about this spread. I'd like to see a clearer direction with it as any stat besides Attack feels middle of the pack right now.

I have taken your feedback into account and have radically altered my spread! I agree that my original spread lacked a clear direction, but the same definitely cannot be said for this new one. The only stat that remains relatively similar is Speed, but it's increased to outrun the base 100s and overall have a less awkward speed tier while still meeting my goal of being slower than Astrolotl to enable it to check us. Thanks for the feedback!

Optional Defining Moves: Brave Bird, Drill Peck, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Roost, Thunder Wave, Swords Dance

While watching this thread I got a little concerned with the lack of serious offensive power, so I decided to lean pretty heavy into a slower nuke build. 56 Speed allows us to outpace standard Blissey sets without investment, while also keeping us just fast enough to outspeed and KO Rillaboom, Kyurem, and neutral speed Lele after a TWave. 154 Attack guarantees the 2HKO with Brave Bird against fully physically defensive Slowbro and 3 Attack TWave Melm. 101 HP gives us just enough to have 101 HP subs with 248 EVs. That in conjunction with 100 SPD and 8 EVs allows us to guaranteed live Future Sight from uninvested Slowbro/Slowking after rocks. In stark contrast to the outstanding special bulk, its physical tankiness is kept intentionally low, allowing Adamant Melmetal to guarantee and OHKO with Double Iron Bash and Banded Urshifu-R with Surging Strikes. Finally, SpA is the dump stat.

Update: Dropped attack to 140 to avoid the 2hko on max HP Melm and standard Cyclohm, dumped the rest into SpA to keep 540 BST. Added SD to optional defining moves.

Defining Moves: Brave Bird, Gunk Shot, Triple Axel, Flare Blitz, Body Press, Thunder Wave, Roost, Coil

Are your teams trash? Getting walled by the likes of Heatran and Clefable? Does the mere mention of the words Slowking or Toxapex leave you feeling queasy, uneasy, and odorously cheesy? Then I offer you (YES, YOU) the panacea for all your woes! This spread can 2HKO major threats like Heatran and Clefable unboosted! With the formidable act of Coil under your metaphorical, or literal depending on art, wing, even the formidable forces of Toxapex and Corviknight shall yield to your risible STABs! Hippowdon getting you Hippowdown? Coil in its face while Earthquake does PITIFUL damage even after Roost thanks to the +1 Defense! Coil to boost Body Press so you can flatten Blissey and the segment of your hippocampus dedicated to Zephyri posts of the last two months. Fire a Gunk Shot so massive your opponent will think you're disqualified from NNN. To meet the needs of the masses, this spread can toil with Coil until you die from recoil! I decided to submit this completely original spread with no outside influences of any pre-existing Pokemon!

Just kidding, its Necturna. It's all Necturna. Well, except the Special Attack. That is not Necturna.

Edited to make it even fatter more powerful and slower.
It’s pretty close to Tadasukes Spread now, but I think the added physical bulk the slightly higher speed as well as actually having some switch ins because it can’t access Brave Bird, means it’s going to be more balanced, as you both can handle it more easily and at the same has better survivability.

WIP

I’ve seen a lot of fast spreads here, but I think that all of you made a spelling error.
It’s not fast that’s cool but fat and strong.

Defining moves:
Gunk Shot, Drill Peck, Roost, Thunder Wave, Rapid Spin

The idea remains the Same, that it’s supposed to pick up Kos against a wide range of Walls, but still has some counterplay in bulky steels, that it might still be able to overwhelm with Thunder wave but otherwise can’t break reliably.

Mons that can’t reliably check 30i:

252+ Atk Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 189-223 (47.9 - 56.5%) -- 89.1% chance to 2HKO
252+ Atk Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 189-223 (47.9 - 56.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after poison damage
252+ Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 150-176 (49.3 - 57.8%) -- 96.9% chance to 2HKO
252+ Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 150-176 (49.3 - 57.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
-1 252+ Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Landorus-Therian: 204-240 (53.4 - 62.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
-1 252+ Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 164+ Def Landorus-Therian: 156-184 (40.8 - 48.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock, Leftovers recovery, and poison damage
252+ Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Drill Peck vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 178-210 (46.1 - 54.4%) -- 96.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

With only drill peck though, it struggles vs. Corviknight and Skarmory (You have a 68% chance to 3hko Corvi through lefties and an 88%chance for Skarmory without rocks while not being able to 2hko even with rocks), which means without help from Twave or a lot of chip it can’t threaten them immediately.
252+ Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Drill Peck vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Corviknight: 138-164 (34.5 - 41.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Drill Peck vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Corviknight: 138-164 (34.5 - 41.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Drill Peck vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 106-126 (31.7 - 37.7%) -- 87.7% chance to 3HKO
252+ Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Drill Peck vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 106-126 (31.7 - 37.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
It also gets a 3HKO vs Melmetal, which means Melmetal can check it once and threaten it out with a possible OHKO, but cannot serve as a Check to 30i again.
252+ Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Drill Peck vs. 40 HP / 0 Def Melmetal: 136-162 (32.3 - 38.4%) -- 96.9% chance to 3HKO
At the same time it doesn’t take recoil from Brave Bird and it’s considerable special bulk as well as its serviceable physical bulk lets it tank hits from a host of special attackers alongside its typing that lets it serve as a ground, fairy, Grass and with careful play Fighting type check
With a spread of 196HP/252+Atk/60Spe it’s able to tank a Pult shadowball from full and cleanly threatens a OHKO with gunk shot or a crippling Twave, while creeping Corviknight.

252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 196 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 148-175 (41.1 - 48.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Dragapult: 354-416 (111.6 - 131.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

With its enormous Attack and Super effective Hits it threatens out Common fairies outside of Tapu Lele and Koko (if not at Max Health), Arghonaut and effectively walls Landorus and Hippowdon, which it is able to cleanly 2hko unless they run physical investment.
252 SpA Tapu Koko Thunderbolt vs. 196 HP / 0 SpD Crobat in Electric Terrain: 282-332 (78.3 - 92.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tapu Koko: 642-756 (228.4 - 269%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Tapu Fini Hydro Pump vs. 196 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 132-156 (36.6 - 43.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Tapu Fini Hydro Pump vs. 196 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 132-156 (36.6 - 43.3%) -- 95.3% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tapu Fini: 498-588 (177.2 - 209.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 SpA Clefable Moonblast vs. 196 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 45-53 (12.5 - 14.7%) -- possible 7HKO
252+ Atk Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 200 Def Clefable: 570-672 (144.6 - 170.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Tinted Lens Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Hippowdon: 242-286 (57.6 - 68%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

as an alternative to Twave, Rapid Spin with full speed investment and a positive nature lets it serve as hazard control and late game cleaner, that outspeeds any non scarf mon (except eleki) after two spin, while losing the ability to break fat steel types on its own.

gonna edit in calcs and more justification later.

im also toying with the idea of lowering speed and increasing attack more to have cleaner kos on pex and Slowbro although that probably means having lando pivot all over 30i

I have updated my original spread to a new one that I hope is HIGHLY CONTROVERSIAL and jeopardizes any trust I have garnered throughout my time here.

I'll mention the flavor aspects in this post since it's not relevant to the sub: 58 HP is the reverse of 30b's 85 HP. Cool.

Defining Moves: Drill Peck, Gunk Shot, Roost/Recover, Body Press, Thunder Wave, Coil

Decided to rework the whole thing. Reviewing the submissions revealed a lot of fast builds that I really didn't stand out amongst. As a result I wanted to have my sub feel more distinct, and felt a good way to do that was go full-on nuclear. This is still running Drill Peck, thus our Flying STAB remains weaker so Steel-types can actually have a shot at fending us of, and our Speed is wholly underwhelming: we get outpaced by a huge swathe of offensive mons and can't even reliably outpace Heatran. Subpar bulk and a serious Stealth Rock weakness also leaves us vulnerable to getting Revenge Killed at every corner, meaning we have to make the most of our time in play to make progress.

30i's entrypoints are going to be weaker defensive mons (esp. Knock users), Choice-locked Pokemon it can abuse like Rillaboom Grassy Glide, Urshifu-RS CC, Tapu Fini Moonblast/Trick, and Jumbao in general, or just pivoting in from teammates. From there it can either fire off attacks or use whatever status moves it elects for to make progress or stay healthy. Thunder Wave seems like a nice way to annoy Pokemon that might try to sit in front of it, or simply to play long-term instead of immediately going for an Attack and nabbing a KO, but getting Revenged the very next turn and potentially ending up in a worse position.

Defensive Answers

-1 252+ Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Drill Peck vs. 252 HP / 0+ Def Landorus-Therian: 127-151 (33.2 - 39.5%) -- 17.7% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
-1 252+ Atk Poison Barb Tinted Lens Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 0+ Def Landorus-Therian: 192-226 (50.2 - 59.1%) -- 75.8% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
0+ Def is mostly to show that even relatively low investment PhysDef Landorus is a capable defensive check/pivot. Here's the sample set:

-1 252+ Atk Poison Barb Tinted Lens Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 164+ Def Landorus-Therian: 160-190 (41.8 - 49.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Drill Peck vs. 248 HP / 168+ Def Corviknight: 144-168 (36 - 42.1%) -- 91.7% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Drill Peck vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Melmetal: 140-166 (34 - 40.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252+ Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Drill Peck vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 108-128 (32.3 - 38.3%) -- 97.1% chance to 3HKO

252+ Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Drill Peck vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Ferrothorn: 153-180 (43.4 - 51.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Steels are the best defensive answers for 30i due to blanking Gunk Shot, meaning we can only use the much weaker Drill Peck as a STAB. Even with Coil factored in, we either get pivoted on, take too much damage, or get crippled by status. We can't even make use of our increased accuracy since Gunk Shot doesn't do anything to Steels.

Victims

252+ Atk Poison Barb Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 195-229 (49.4 - 58.1%) -- 98.4% chance to 2HKO
252+ Atk Poison Barb Tinted Lens Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Toxapex: 152-180 (50 - 59.2%) -- 78.5% chance to 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

252+ Atk Poison Barb Crobat Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Zapdos: 327-385 (101.8 - 119.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Zapdos is the bulkiest of mons that always get OHKO'd by Gunk Shot with minimal investment.

252+ Atk Sharp Beak Tinted Lens Crobat Drill Peck vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 182-216 (47.1 - 55.9%) -- 20.7% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery)

Physical Bulk

Below are Pokemon and some assorted attacks we can switch into or at least live after safe entry.

0 Atk Landorus-Therian Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 68-80 (26.4 - 31.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Landorus-Therian Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 80-95 (31.1 - 36.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
0 Atk Arghonaut Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 53-63 (20.6 - 24.5%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Stealth Rock
We dodge a 2HKO after two rounds of Stealth Rock vs. Argh. Could be useful in the case of Circle Throw phasing.

0- Atk Clefable Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 34-40 (13.2 - 15.5%) -- possible 7HKO

0 Atk Ferrothorn Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 47-56 (18.2 - 21.7%) -- possible 5HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 84-99 (32.6 - 38.5%) -- 8.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252+ Atk Choice Band Rillaboom Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 119-140 (46.3 - 54.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Choice Band Rillaboom Wood Hammer vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat in Grassy Terrain: 106-125 (41.2 - 48.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO (2HKO with Stealth Rock)
252+ Atk Choice Band Rillaboom Grassy Glide vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat in Grassy Terrain: 62-73 (24.1 - 28.4%) -- 97.7% chance to 4HKO

252 Atk Garchomp Scale Shot (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 129-156 (50.1 - 60.7%) -- approx. 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Below are Pokemon we can get thrashed by.

252 Atk Weavile Triple Axel (2 Hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 194-230 (75.4 - 89.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
I had to manually edit this one: 2 hit Triple Axel does 60 BP worth of damage, which is enough to OHKO us after Stealth Rock.

252 Atk Choice Band Syclant Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 188-224 (73.1 - 87.1%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Syclant Icicle Crash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 270-318 (105 - 123.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
(Note that Icicle Crash is without Choice Band)

252 Atk Choice Band Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Surging Strikes (3 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat on a critical hit: 288-342 (112 - 133%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
This one is pretty important as it can always RK us even after n Coil boosts.

252 Atk Zeraora Plasma Fists vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 308-366 (119.8 - 142.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Iron Fist Melmetal Double Iron Bash (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 290-344 (112.8 - 133.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

At +1 Defense:

252 Atk Zeraora Plasma Fists vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 206-246 (80.1 - 95.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Weavile Triple Axel (40 BP) (3 hits) vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 258-312 (100.3 - 121.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Choice Band Syclant Icicle Crash vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 270-318 (105 - 123.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Iron Fist Melmetal Double Iron Bash (2 hits) vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 194-230 (75.4 - 89.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Even with +1 our physical offensive checks are reserved, assuming we've taken Stealth Rock damage. If not, Zera can't KO us, which is potentially a good reason to use Coil over just attacking. This helps solidify that Stealth Rock is a major roadblock to our ability to function.

As a side note, CB Syclant is so good at destroying us after Rocks it even nabs a KO with this:
252 Atk Choice Band Syclant Icicle Crash vs. +2 0 HP / 8 Def Crobat: 200-236 (77.8 - 91.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Special Bulk

Below are Pokemon that we can switch into or attacks we can live from safe entry:

0 SpA Clefable Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 48-57 (18.6 - 22.1%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock

252+ SpA Jumbao Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 81-96 (31.5 - 37.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Tornadus-Therian Hurricane vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 159-187 (61.8 - 72.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 162-192 (63 - 74.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

4- SpA Zeraora Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 138-164 (53.6 - 63.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 115-136 (44.7 - 52.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 77-91 (29.9 - 35.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Tapu Fini Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 62-73 (24.1 - 28.4%) -- 95.2% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Tapu Fini Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 144-171 (56 - 66.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Heatran Magma Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 162-192 (63 - 74.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after trapping damage
(This Magma calc seems to be broken/misleading, as it kept saying it was a 2HKO after Rocks + Trapping damage, even though it should have rolls to OHKO after the Trapping damage goes through. Keep that in mind)

Below are various Special Attacks we cannot live, some with and without Stealth Rock. Assuming we never get access to SpDef boosting, these Pokemon should always manage to threaten us out with their moves.

252 SpA Tapu Koko Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat in Electric Terrain: 306-362 (119 - 140.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 262-310 (101.9 - 120.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Life Orb Krilowatt Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 283-335 (110.1 - 130.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 SpA Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat in Psychic Terrain: 380-450 (147.8 - 175%) -- guaranteed OHKO

200 SpA Kyurem Freeze-Dry vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 218-260 (84.8 - 101.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

To really rub salt on the wound, here's Orbless Kril getting a role to KO us after Rocks, with Volt Switch.
252 SpA Krilowatt Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 168-200 (65.3 - 77.8%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

I'm pretty happy with this one compared to the previous. It's obviously super scary, but in actuality this is less immediately threatening than something like Darmanitan, who is not only faster but also hits harder with unboosted Sheer Force Flare Blitz. Now there's plenty of reasons why you don't see Darm, and 30i has much more going for it movepool and stat/typing wise. The point being that 30i has a lot of inherent positives (Tinted Lens, neat typing, Knock-Off immune) and inherent negatives (always weak to SR, no item access, Offensive Poison Type).

I really like the Drill Peck/Gunk Shot dynamic, with one being weaker but reliable, and the other very strong but more exploitable and prone to backfiring. It's what allowed me to be comfortable with going so high on Attack, as otherwise Brave Bird would be a bit too much. I should mention, even with 150 Base Attack, we're doing less damage with Drill Peck compared to Brave Bird.

-1 252+ Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Drill Peck vs. 252 HP / 164+ Def Landorus-Therian: 108-127 (28.2 - 33.2%) -- 92.6% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
Here's the damage my 150 Attack spread does...

-1 252+ Atk Sharp Beak Crobat Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 164+ Def Landorus-Therian: 112-133 (29.3 - 34.8%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
And this is Brave Bird. From normal Crobat.

Much of the offensive power comes from Tinted Lens making our Flying STAB virtually unresisted, and Gunk Shot's high BP making it generally very strong off our massive Attack stat.

Defining Moves: Drill Peck, Gunk Shot, Roost/Recover, Body Press, Taunt, Toxic

For this spread I wanted to run Drill Peck and Gunk Shot as our strongest STAB moves. I feel like Brave Bird would be so spammable we'd have little reason to run any Poison moves at all. This dynamic gives us one STAB that has almost no resists but lacks raw damage, while the other STAB has high damage potential and status spreading at the cost of low accuracy and PP. This makes it so Steels are pretty solid answers to us, as are Pokemon with naturally high Defense. I think it's important that 30i has Steel-types as a general answer seeing how it generally ignores much of the type chart.

111 Speed gets jump on Base 110s and Adamant Weavile but can be beaten by the many other faster mons ahead of it. If you're not running max Speed you hit a stat of 321, leaving you vulnerable to +Speed Urshifu and thus anything at or above Base 97 that has max Speed investment.

Adamant 111 Attack is enough to let Drill Peck 2HKO Kartana after Stealth Rocks and always OHKO Blacephalon, but cannot OHKO Weavile without hazard chip. Gunk Shot always OHKOs Clefable, but only has a roll to 2HKO Pex and never 2HKOs HDB Slowbro. Buzzwole and Landorus (with -1 drop) aren't 2HKO'd either.

The poison chance is the real seller here. A lot of Pokemon really don't want to switch in even if they otherwise could simply because you can cripple them long-term.

If you aren't running +Attack, Clef can live with extreme defensive investment and Blace isn't always OHKO'd either, though unlikely. I think there's a good amount of merit to running either nature: more Speed means a larger portion of mons you can outpace and finish off or KO, while more Attack lets you hone in on your Ability to hit much of the metagame for neutral damage.

252 Atk Syclant Icicle Crash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Crobat: 278-330 (89.3 - 106.1%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

Even without Choice Band you have a roll to KO. Weavile performs similarly, if not better due to running Triple Axel.

:dragapult:
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 217-256 (69.7 - 82.3%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 351-414 (112.8 - 133.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Draco can KO you while Shadow Ball has a good roll after taking Rocks damage.

:tapu lele:
252 SpA Tapu Lele Psychic vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 390-462 (125.4 - 148.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Scarf Psychic has no trouble KOing you, considering this is the strongest attacker on here.

:zeraora:

4- SpA Zeraora Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 186-218 (59.8 - 70%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Low investment Volt Switch is able to 2HKO you, giving Zera a bit more room in its ability to threaten or force you out, though you will not fall to Stealth Rock + Volt Switch.

Zera can opt for a -Def/SpDef nature if it wants to preserve damage for Special Attacks. In this case you can fall from Rocks chip + Volt Switch. Max SpA sets only secure an OHKO if Rocks are up.

4 SpA Zeraora Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 204-242 (65.5 - 77.8%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Zeraora Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 258-306 (82.9 - 98.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Tornadus-Therian Hurricane vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 211-250 (67.8 - 80.3%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Torn is the weakest offensive answer on here so far, as Hurricane only has a chance to KO even with Rocks up, and it has to hit Hurricane. Still, this is a pressure matchup and staying in on a potential Hurricane is a risk you have to be willing to take.

The list of answers is greatly increased if you choose to run Adamant. Of note:

252+ SpA Tinted Lens Jumbao Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Crobat: 218-258 (70 - 82.9%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Admittedly you have a small number of truly safe switch-ins but I think that's a fair trade-off considering what we have going here. Plenty of strong breakers and attackers often need support to get in safely, and I don't see why 30i should be much different.

Seeing as this move is required but doesn't neatly fit into our offensive or defensive calcs, I figured I would mention it here.
Our moderate but unimpressive Defense makes Body Press pretty hard to justify. The most you get is a better advantage versus 4x Fighting weak mons like Weavile, Bisharp, TTar, and you do hurt Magnezone more since it actually resists Flying.

I decided to stick with Toxic and Taunt as utility options. Since we're already good at breaking a large portions of walls, I felt Taunt was okay. Steels can still threaten us with damage or simply pivot out, and if we use Taunt they're not taking damage that turn anyway. Toxic felt fine as it's a semi-useful status move that doesn't horribly break a lot of our matchups like Thunder Wave might. I am not sure how to feel about Boosting, Swords Dance feels a bit overboard given our stats, but other options feels a bit lackluster. Coil would be great if the defense-raising part wasn't so dangerous. There may be room to fit it, but it wasn't among my considerations.

I definitely wanted to be pretty cautious with my spread: though I'm running Drill Peck I don't actually get close to even the unmodified limit of 550. Tinted Lens is very strong and with our movepool still up for arms, I wanted to stay modest on the strength of 30i's stats. With the Knock-Off resistance, unique typing, recovery, and ability to ignore much of the type chart, I feel it's already got a good head start.

There was definitely room to go faster but I didn't see it as worthwhile. Base 120/119 would let you outpace Cawm, but tbf this is not the time nor place to give ourselves an answer to what I consider a conceptually poorly-designed mon.

I do want to work on this a bit more as I think there are ways to make the spread bulkier while preserving losing matchups against our offensive checks. It is past midnight where I am and I have many things I need to do tomorrow, so that will have to wait.

Reworked my spread, fixed the bst, and added some calcs just to make it more informative. For my first official contribution to this forum after lurking since Miasmaw, I'm open to suggestions about how to be more clear and concise :)

Total: 540 BST ;)

PS:
133.90
SS: 79.91
PT: 76.36
ST: 95.57
BSR: 553.37

Defining Moves: Poison Jab, Drill Peck, Recover, Body Press, Rapid Spin, Ice Punch, Fire Punch

This set loosely attempts to emulate Lando-T's qualities, but with the key difference of being much less physically bulky.

Attacks: Very nice. Keeping in mind that we won't have access to LO, Band, or any other item for that matter, it's hard to reach truly monstrous values without boosting, which I avoided anyway.

252 Atk Crobat Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 352-416 (98.5 - 116.5%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Crobat Fire Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Cawmodore: 136-160 (56.4 - 66.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Crobat Fire Punch vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Ferrothorn: 292-348 (82.9 - 98.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Defenses: We're fragile but hard to OHKO on the special side. It's feasible that you could invest in bulk for more longevity, but at the cost of being able to get some critical damage on key targets or being outsped. 85/70/90 bulk is pretty respectable in all honesty, specing into bulk is definitely feasible to ensure certain calls

4 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 100 Def Crobat: 263-309 (84.5 - 99.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Tapu Fini Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 88 SpD Crobat: 144-171 (46.3 - 54.9%) -- 62.9% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 88 SpD Crobat: 262-310 (84.2 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Speed: Our speed-tier is good, but unique in that a lot of relevant matchups depend on what nature you run (Jolly or Adamant). Our range of (meaningful) speed values are 220 to 311, so imagine Lando-T's speed tier (218-309), but with just a little bit extra juice to be able to invest a little bit more into other crucial stats if needed. Also the addition of Rapid Spin to the moveset could provide an interesting role as it the speed boost it provides can tip the balance against base 100's-120's that we couldn't beat otherwise.

It is time for the preliminary slate for 30i! I feel like we showcased a ton of variety in these submissions and overall I am quite happy with how my feedback ended up affecting some of the final submissions. Unfortunately, there were a couple of spreads that aimed to do very similar things both in their stat distribution and their defining moves so they were not included. So here's the preliminary slate!

snake_rattler:
85110855585120

Defining Moves: Swords Dance, Brave Bird, Gunk Shot, Roost

Snake's spread hits the Speed limit and has a more than respectable Attack stat with quite well balanced Defenses. The HP is kept the same as 30b's already established HP. Swords Dance and Roost can be clicked with ease thanks to its blistering Speed and enough Attack to scare out certain foes, without making it impossible to take a hit from.

dex:
85122606598110
Optional Moves: Taunt, Rapid Spin, Knock Off, Thunder Wave, and Toxic.

Dex's 30i submission has a scary Attack attack stat and aims to outspeed Alolatales and Adamant Weavile, making our offensive checks very concise when combined with its low Defense. Specs Dragapult remains a solid answer but Tornadus-T needs Stealth Rocks up to ever attempt to 2HKO.

Estronic:
851211117050103

Defining Moves: Poison Jab, Gunk Shot, Brave Bird, Roost, Body Press, Coil

Estronic has a very balanced spread, aiming to utilize Coil to boost their already good Attack and Defense and using the added defense to occasionally fire a Body Press. The Speed tier aims to showcase how something like Krilowatt who is a solid Pokemon can offensively check us, especially so with base 50 SpD.

BinaclePinnacle:
115106605490115

Defining Moves: Brave Bird, Coil, Roost, Gunk Shot, Rapid Spin, Thunder Wave

BinPin has submitted an interesting set with Rapid Spin attached to it, having a higher HP to minimize Brave Bird recoil. Boosting move of choice is Coil, highlighting a lower Defense stat and being a nice addition to a spread with solid Special Defense. While the immediate damage output isn't as high as some of the other spreads, its Speed and utility make up for it.

reviloja:
851146958112102

Defining Moves: Brave Bird, Drill Peck, Gunk Shot, Roost, Coil

Reviloja has changed their spread after some feedback and has submitted a spread with very good special bulk and good Attack to boot. 102 Speed is enough to outspeed things like Pajantom and tie with Garchomp. This spread also has some very nice bulk attached to it and Coil mitigates a rather low Defense without pushing it over the edge. Lower defense does make switching in challenging at times.

spoo:
85117716093114

Defining Moves: Coil, Brave Bird, Drill Peck, Gunk Shot, Recover

Spoo couldn't decide on whether he should be cautious or not with Swords Dance but ended up going for the more quaint Coil. Speed is enough to tie with Astrolotl, effectively always outspeeding it. Good balanced defensive stats tie the whole thing together, with more emphasis put on Special Defense. A good mid ground between the faster spreads and the hard-hitting slower spreads.

Tadasuke:
101140638010056

Optional Defining Moves: Brave Bird, Drill Peck, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Roost, Thunder Wave, Swords Dance

Tadasuke went for a very slow but very hard hitting sort of tank. With a good HP value minimizing Brave Bird recoil and 100 Special Defense, it can very easily shrug off small chunks of chip coming in from Special Attackers and survive a Future Sight from Slowking. A lower Defense stat keeps this all in check, especially with the Stealth Rock weakness making it hard to find an opportunity to set up without potentially getting OHKOed by a strong physical attacker.

This thread will remain open for 24 hours and after that we'll move onto voting. If you want to voice your feedback about any of the spreads slated, please do so in this thread. Happy revising, happy National Scrapple day, and happy bedtime to yours truly.

I will be more critical than Brambane because I am from East-Central PA. If we can get someone from Pittsburgh to roast the slate we'll have served our purpose.

It's hard to suggest changes in a way that doesn't imply wanting one's own spread slated so I won't even try, else why would I have submitted? I don't like how the Speed Tiers are so closely clumped together. The post-100s tend to be this way naturally as its an important benchmark that helps define a lot of good Pokemon, and the high PS value used does encourage faster spreads, but it's a tad jarring that our slowest spread is 56 and second slowest is nearly double that with 102. I feel like it severely limits options for those who might want a slower 30i. ultramafia, Amamama, backslash and my spread all fall below the 100s and with a decent amount of variety between them.

To further my own ego I do wish there was a spread that isn't built around Brave Bird and chose Drill Peck instead, but realistically there aren't as many options and it's not really the biggest problem in the world.

I'm not going to suggest a spread to be removed as I'm already campaigning for my own, but I did complile this helpful table for those wanting to better compare the stat spreads of this slate: useful for those on mobile like myself.

Good slate overall for the most part. The only thing I would really consider changing would be to replace Tadasuke's spread with Amamama's spread, both because there is a distinct lack of spreads revolving around Drill Peck (I prefer Brave Bird too honestly, but I still think we should cover all of the bases here to make the most diverse slate possible) and because Tadasuke's spread looks quite overpowered (140 Attack + Swords Dance + Brave Bird is insane and the Special Bulk only makes that even better, and I don't think the low physical bulk really balances out everything else it offers) while Amamama's spread sort of seems like a more balanced option for a slow nuke spread. But apart from that I'm happy with what we got right now (Even if my submission didn't make it).

Also what kind of redneck shit is scrapple?

I feel strange campaigning for my own spread, but with the relative lack of non-set up spreads (4 coilers, 1 sd and 1 no set up currently) I think I deserve a spot. There's also a lack of spreads with both high attack and high speed (only 1 spread has over 120 attack and 110 speed), which my spread fulfills.

I agree with Shnowshner that there's a distinct gap between the slowest and second slowest spread, that could easily be filled by a mid-speed submission.

It's hard to say if any of the currently slated spreads should be removed; there are enough unique spreads that final slate could have 7-8 choices.

The general vibe to all of these sets just feels samey. They're all fast except Tadasuke's set, all but snake and dex have coil, and none use Drill Peck over Brave Bird. I think Shnowshner puts it very well in his post.

Looking at the unslated slower spreads (faster stuff is very well represented)

Brambane: 64 HP / 120 Atk / 100 Def / 55 SpA / 120 SpD / 81 Spe (in WIP so inelligible)
shnowshner: 58 HP, 150 Attack, 95 Defense, 62 Special Attack, 101 Special Defense, 74 Speed
Backslash: 85 HP / 135 ATK / 70 DEF / 68 SPA / 90 SPD / 92 SPE (literally miasmaw)
Zephyr: 85 HP / 81 Atk / 101 Def / 116 SpA / 88 SpD / 69 Spe
Ultramafia: 85 HP / 140 Atk / 83 Def / 68 SpA / 90 SpD / 74 Spe
Amamama: 85 HP /145 Atk /85 Def /53 SpA /112 SpD /60 Spe

Frankly the only spread here that I really like is Brambane's, but its in WIP state, so its ineligible for slating. Of the remaining, Amamama's is cut from a very similar mold to Tadasuke's, so imo wouldn't really give much more to the slate beyond splitting the vote. I could see an argument for replacing tada's given the difference in defining moves. Backslash submitted quite literally Miasmaw, which I don't love the idea of slating just on the basis of repeating ourselves, even if it is imo the best of the rest. Zephyr's spread is honestly just too weak from an overall power perspective, and could have done with a bit more into one of the defensive stats, or the SpA stat (10 SS was left over) (even then it was very similar to 30b). Shnowshner and Ultramafia, even if shnow is using Drill Peck, honestly scare me in terms of us not being able to give them many tools due to a mix of just enough speed and way too much attack.

While I believe that Dex and Spoo have very similar spreads, and if a spread were to be cut from slate it should be one of theirs, there is a large difference in defining moves, so that's enough for me currently. Still, a 6 member slate would be cleaner from a voting perspective.

I should note I am not a TLT member, and these are my personal opinions. I think the amount of attack this mon will need is being overestimated because well, access to at least one 120 BP stab and a guaranteed boosting item is gonna bring us to a pretty strong point. If anything imo the thing slower spreads would need is more bulk, not more attack.

Edit:
I guess I should argue in favor of my spread over Binpin's simply because I think its more likely to get votes as it keeps 85 HP and I know a lot of folks will vote on flavor. That said I'm entirely happy with either winning. This is especially a factor because the majority of the rest of the spreads have 85 HP.

And with that, the time has come to submit our final slate. I once again have decided not to alter my preliminary slate for reasons I will get to in a second. I am very happy with the variety provided by the slate I proposed last night and I believe that it will serve as a good list of options. Just like I did with 30b, I'll give some brief reasoning as to why certain stat submissions didn't make it.

Backslash has submitted what I can describe as Miasmaw 2.0, while Brambane's (WIP) is Necturna. As in, he even admits so in his post. I do enjoy the tongue in cheek of these submissions, but not enough to slate them.

115 HP / 120 Atk / 58 Def / 63 SpA / 65 SpD / 119 Spe

This spread remains extremely close to another spread that did get slated, that being Snake_rattler's. As I said when I gave my initial feedback, the only real difference is this submission having more immediate power, while snake's boosts up with Swords Dance. The extra 10 Attack actually doesn't change any of the offensive calcs provided, as 110 Attack does the job quite as well. Lower overall bulk also makes this spread much more volatile.

85 HP / 145 Atk / 85 Def / 53 SpA / 112 SpD / 60 Spe

While I was very close to putting this on the slate, I feel that it would divide the votes between itself and Tadasuke's and thus impact the integrity of the process to a certain degree. The added benefit of utilizing Drill Peck is certainly nice, but I feel that its niche isn't enough to warrant slating it alongside another super slow nuke spread.

58 HP / 150 Atk / 95 Def / 62 SpA / 101 SpD / 74 Spe

This is the submission that seems to have drawn a bit of attention. A combination of Drill Peck and a lower Speed makes it enticing, but the Attack stat and more than sufficient Speed makes this scarier than what it seem at first. You have to remember that 30i can still use Gunk Shot and off of Tinted Lens boosted 150 Attack anything that isn't exactly a Steel-type is bound to melt. One could argue about the low accuracy and dependency on the lower Base Power Drill Peck for our second STAB option makes this not seem as powerful; however, an Adamant nature Drill Peck from base 150 Attack is very close in damage output to a Jolly Brave Bird from base 110 Attack, and that's a move that cripples us through recoil.

With this out of the way, I present to you the final slate and pass it onto Wulfanator. This was a wonderful and learning experience for me and I hope to be able to join another process in the future!

snake_rattler:
85110855585120
Defining Moves: Swords Dance, Brave Bird, Gunk Shot, Roost

Snake's spread hits the Speed limit and has a more than respectable Attack stat with quite well balanced Defenses. The HP is kept the same as 30b's already established HP. Swords Dance and Roost can be clicked with ease thanks to its blistering Speed and enough Attack to scare out certain foes, without making it impossible to take a hit from.

dex:
85122606598110
Defining Moves: Taunt, Rapid Spin, Knock Off, Thunder Wave, and Toxic.

Reviloja753:

Defining Moves: Brave Bird, Drill Peck, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Roost, Thunder Wave, Swords Dance

Lasen did a great job picking slate. Of the conversations we had regarding slate, most addressed the similarities between spreads and the difficulties of picking options that did not overshadow others. I think this slate offers the most diversity while not sacrificing on the quality of spreads that appear. There is a lot voters will need to consider when going into this poll. Voters will need to identify how they value the major stat differences between spreads as well as the nuances of their defining moves. I will not be using +/- powers, so we are good to push this to the poll.
