PU carnivine (mini)

uploading -mz

[OVERVIEW]

Despite being a strong physical Grass-type, Carnivine finds itself hopelessly outclassed by other Grass-types mostly due to its terrible Speed as well as its mediocre defenses, which make it troublesome to consistently wallbreak. There is little point in using Carnivine over other superior Grass-types like Lilligant, Abomasnow, Leafeon, and Shiftry, whose superior typings, stats, and coverage allow them to break through defensive cores with ease. Additionally, Grass-type checks are common in PU due to the high number of powerful Grass-types in the tier.

[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Power Whip
move 3: Knock Off
move 4: Sleep Powder
item: Life Orb / Grassium Z
ability: Levitate
nature: Adamant
evs: 188 HP / 252 Atk / 68 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Carnivine can attempt to take advantage of a sleeping foe to set up with Swords Dance and wallbreak, especially early- or mid-game, so it can at least support a sweep from its teammates. However, it will rarely get the chance to do much after it sets up due to its low Speed. Instead, consider running another Grass-type wallbreaker such as Lilligant, Abomasnow, or Leafeon.

[OVERVIEW]
Despite being one of the strongest physical Grass-types in the tier (would rather just say strong, it's got a fair bit of competition as the strongest and id not paint this mon in a positive light), Carnivine finds itself hopelessly outclassed by other Grass-types due to its terrible Speed and paper-thin defenses, which make it troublesome to consistently wallbreak. There is little point in using Carnivine over other superior Grass-types like Abomasnow, Leafeon, and Shiftry, whose superior typings, stats, and coverage allow them to break through defensive cores with ease (mention lilligant as a setup sweeper).

However, it will rarely get the chance to do much after it sets up due to its low speed and lacking defenses. Instead, consider running another Grass-type wallbreaker such as Abomasnow or Leafeon (lilligant here too).

Despite being a strong physical Grass-type, Carnivine finds itself hopelessly outclassed by other Grass-types due to its terrible Speed and paper-thin defenses i think ur really overstating this thing's frailty, it's not remotely bulky but it's not that frail. the speed is what makes breaking an issue really, plus the fact that everyone is already prepping for much better and scarier grasses, which make it troublesome to consistently wallbreak. There is little point in using Carnivine over other superior Grass-types like Lilligant, Abomasnow, Leafeon, and Shiftry, whose superior typings, stats, and coverage allow them to break through defensive cores with ease.

Instead, consider running another Grass-type wallbreaker such as Lilligant, Abomasnow, or Leafeon.
