[OVERVIEW]
Carracosta is a powerful Pokemon thanks to its combination of Shell Smash, mixed offense movepool, Sturdy, and priority moves. With Shell Smash and Waterium Z, it can outpace and OHKO a lot of Pokemon such as Heatran, Landorus-T, and Porygon-Z, while priority in Aqua Jet allows it to beat opposing Sturdy Pokemon such as Magnezone, Crustle, and Trace users like Mega Gardevoir. Because Carracosta can run a mixed set, it can easily threaten defensive Pokemon and isn’t threatened by Will-O-Wisp from Mega Charizard X or Mega Gardevoir like many other Sturdy Pokemon are. Unfortunately, Carracosta can't effectively run mixed STAB attacks, priority, Shell Smash, and coverage in one set and individual sets lose out on key power that could be helpful. It also is reliant on its STAB moves, meaning Pokemon that resist them like Mega Venusaur can easily beat it. It's also extremely slow and can be beaten by faster priority users like Donphan or can be prevented from setting up by Taunt users like Tapu Lele.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
Shell Smash allows Carracosta to boost both its offensive stats and Speed and OHKO opposing Pokemon like Mega Charizard X and Mega Metagross at the start of turn 2. Hydro Pump is the special Water-type STAB move used as the base for Hydro Vortex to KO most opposing Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X and Magearna. Aqua Jet can finish off opposing Sturdy Pokemon such as Magnezone and Crustle and can help deal additional necessary chip damage to Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y. This also can be used for a physical Hydro Vortex, which can aid against Pokemon like Magearna. Aqua Tail is a second option for Hydro Vortex that can take out Calm Mind Pokemon such as Meloetta or naturally specially defensive Pokemon like Chansey. Alternatively, Rock Slide can be used against Pokemon that resist Carracosta's Water-type STAB moves such as Kyurem and Araquanid.

Set Details
========
Waterium Z powers up Hydro Pump, Aqua Tail, or Aqua Jet to Hydro Vortex to deal as much damage as possible. 240 Speed EVs and a Naive nature allow Carracosta to outspeed base 110 Pokemon after a Shell Smash, notably Mega Metagross. Special Attack is maximized to boost the power of special Hydro Vortex, since Carracosta already has superb Attack, and the remaining EVs go into Attack in order to aid against Mega Charizard Y with physical Hydro Vortex followed by Aqua Jet. Sturdy allows Carracosta one free turn to set up Shell Smash.

Usage Tips
========
Carracosta can be used against a wide variety of Pokemon as long as they don't resist its STAB attacks like Kommo-o or have a good priority move like Dragonite and Donphan. Against most bulky Pokemon like Mega Metagross, Tapu Lele, and Meloetta, turn 1 can be used to set up Shell Smash. However, against Pokemon faster or potentially faster than base 110 such as Choice Scarf Porygon-Z and Speed Boost Mega Blaziken and against opposing Sturdy or Trace users like Magnezone and Gardevoir, turn 1 should be used to attack. Usually, special Hydro Vortex should be used unless the Pokemon is significantly more specially defensive or has set up a Calm Mind like Magearna or Tapu Lele. In this case, physical Hydro Vortex should be used. When the opposing Pokemon is weakened, Aqua Jet should be used because it has priority and the best accuracy. Against Pokemon that can boost either or both defensive stats, such as Magearna, Tapu Lele, Z-Celebrate Meloetta, and Z-Conversion Porygon-Z, it is ideal to repeatedly use Shell Smash as long as Sturdy remains intact and follow up with a high-powered Hydro Vortex to hit whichever stat the opponent has boosted up the least.

Team Options
========
Carracosta is particularly strong when paired with Fire- and Grass-type Pokemon such as Mega Charizard Y, Heatran, Mega Venusaur, and Kartana. Carracosta can cover the opposing Fire-types like Mega Charizard X and opposing Heatran for them while the Fire-types can threaten Serperior and Ferrothorn and the Grass-types can threaten opposing Water-types like Primarina and Tapu Fini. Choice Scarf users like Porygon-Z, Landorus-T, and Victini are helpful in dealing with Fake Out users like Mega Lopunny, Mega Medicham and Zeraora. In return, Carracosta can get through bulkier Pokemon such as Meloetta and Heatran with the help of Shell Smash. Electric-types like Zeroara and Magnezone can also be helpful, as they can deal with bulky Water-types such as Primarina and Tapu Fini that Carracosta struggles with, while Carracosta can deal with annoying Ground-types like Landorus-T and non-Extreme Speed Zygarde.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
A physical set with Rockium Z that runs Stone Edge with Earthquake for coverage can be used to target Flying-types like Dragonite as well, but isn't as strong against Steel-types and is more susceptible to Will-O-Wisp. Ice Beam provides good coverage that complements Carracosta's STAB attacks if it commits to a being a full special attacker. These moves can threaten Dragon-types like Groundium Z Garchomp. Protect also can be run to alleviate the threat of Fake Out from certain Pokemon, such as Mega Medicham. This will not allow Carracosta to beat Mega Lopunny, however, without sacrificing either Aqua Tail or Shell Smash.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Type Resistances**: Bulky Water-, Grass-, and Dragon-types such as Mega Gyarados, Primarina, Mega Venusaur, Whimsicott, Kommo-o, and Mega Altaria can all take Hydro Vortex before attacking.

**Fake Out Users**: Mega Lopunny, Zeraora, and Mega Medicham all use Fake Out to break Carracosta’s Sturdy before KOing it with a powerful STAB attack.

**Bulky Fast Priority Pokemon**: Pokemon that can take Carracosta's moves and respond with their own priority moves such as Donphan and Dragonium Z Dragonite can shut down Carracosta without giving it too many opportunities to attack.

**Mixed Walls**: Mixed walls such as Umbreon, Clefable, and Quagsire can boost their already high defenses even higher and tank Carracosta's boosted attacks.

**Taunt users**: Certain Taunt users like Tapu Lele and Mega Sableye can attempt to stop Carracosta from raising its stats with Shell Smash; however, this can be somewhat worked around if Carracosta attacks when they use Taunt.

Moves
========

  • Shell Smash is the most important move on this set as it allows for Carracosta to boost both its attack, special attack, and speed to +2 and OHKO the opposing Pokémon like either Mega Charizard the play with char y is to z-aqua tail into jet or stone edge immediately, in case they use flame charge into solar beam. I would change to just char x or Mega Diancie at the start of turn 2.
  • Hydro Pump is the special STAB Water move used as the base for Hydro Vortex to KO most opposing Pokémon such as Mega Charizard X and Magearna
  • Aqua Jet is STAB priority that can beat opposing Sturdy Pokémon such as Magnezone and Crustle, and can help dealing additional necessary chip damage to Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y.
  • Aqua Tail is a second option for Hydro Vortex that can take out Calm Mind Pokémon such as Magearna or naturally specially defensive Pokemon like Chansey
  • Stone Edge can be used as a Rock-type STAB against pokemon that resist Carracosta's water STAB such as Modest Naganade, Kyurem, and Araquanid.
Set Details

  • Waterium Z powers up either Hydro Pump or Aqua Tail to Hydro Vortex to deal as much damage as possible.
  • 240 Speed and a Naive Nature allows it to outspeed Base 110 Pokémon after a Shell Smash, notably Mega Diancie and Mega Metagross.
  • Sturdy is a key ability, allowing Carracosta one free turn to set-up Shell Smash.
  • 16 Attack lets Carracosta KO Mega Charizard Y in the Sun with physical Hydro Vortex followed up by Aqua Jet.
  • The remaining 252 EVs are in Special Attack to maximize the damage output of special Hydro Vortex.
Usage Tips
========

  • Carracosta can be used against a wide variety of Pokémon as long as they don’t resist its STAB like Kommo-o or have a good priority move like Dragonite and Donphan.
  • Against most Pokémon, turn 1 can be used to set up Shell Smash.
  • However, against Pokémon faster or might become faster than Base 110 such as Choice Scarf Porygon Z or Speed Boost Mega Blaziken and against opposing Sturdy or Trace Pokémon like Magnezone or Gardevoir, turn 1 should be used to attack.
  • Usually, special Hydro Vortex should be used unless the Pokémon is significantly more specially defensive or has set-up a Calm Mind like Magearna or Tapu Lele. In this case physical Hydro Vortex should be used.
  • When the opposing Pokémon is low, Aqua Jet should be used because it has priority and the best accuracy.
  • Against pokemon that boost both defenses like Magearna always make sure to use the appropriate Z move after Shell Smash. For example, if Magearna uses Iron Defense turn 1, a special Hydro Vortex will KO, but if it uses Calm Mind a physical Hydro Vortex followed by an Aqua Jet will KO even after an Iron Defense. no the safest play is to just shell smash again against magearna on turn 2, bc then you OHKO no matter what, and it avoids shenanigans with them pain splitting on your z-aqua and then you missing tail or pump and them twinkle tackling - you get the point. +2 16 Atk Carracosta Hydro Vortex (175 BP) vs. 248 HP / 0+ Def Magearna: 330-388 (90.9 - 106.8%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO not guaranteed to ohko, and if they pain split you're in trouble. However, turn 2, no matter if they use calm mind or iron defense, carra can kill. +4 252 SpA Carracosta Hydro Vortex (185 BP) vs. +1 248 HP / 24 SpD Magearna: 387-456 (106.6 - 125.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO (if they use iron defense turn 2) +4 16 Atk Carracosta Hydro Vortex (175 BP) vs. 248 HP / 0+ Def Magearna: 493-582 (135.8 - 160.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO if they use calm mind turn 2 and obv you win if they choose to attack or pain split turn 2
  • Also against certain Taunt users, like Taunt Reflect Tapu Lele, attacking immediately should be considered as they may try to use Taunt turn 1, although this is still a mind game.
Team Options
========
  • Carracosta is particularly strong when paired with Fire- and Grass-type pokemon such as Mega Charizard Y, Heatran, Mega Venusaur, and Kartana. Carracosta can cover the opposing Fire-types like Mega Charizard X and opposing Heatran, that threaten both the Fire-types and Grass-types, while the Fire-types can threaten opposing Mega Venusaur and Ferrothorn, and the Grass-types can threaten opposing Water-types like Primarina and Tapu Fini.
  • Choice Scarf users like Porygon-Z are helpful in dealing with fake out users Mega Lopunny, Mega Medicham and non-Max Speed Zeraora. While, Carracosta can get through bulkier Pokemon such as? with the help of Shell Smash.
  • Electric-types like Zeroara and Magnezone can also be helpful as they can deal with bulky Water-types Primarina and Tapu Fini that Carracosta struggles with. While Carracosta can deal with annoying Ground-types like Landorus-T and Zygarde.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • A physical set with Rockium Z that runs Stone Edge with Earthquake for coverage can be used to target Flying-types as well like Mega Charizard Y and Zapdos doesnt the main set beat both? The only flying types i think this gives the advantage with is Flyinium Dragonite and Celesteela but isn’t as strong against Steel-types and is more susceptible to Will-O-Wisp.
  • Earthquake and Ice Beam both provide good coverage that complements Carracosta’s STAB if it commits to a single attacking side. These moves can threaten opposing Electric- and Dragon-types like Magnezone again, you already beat that and Dragonite rockium beat that and more. I think Groundium Garchomp is a relevant example if you want to keep Ice Beam, but you may want to remove EQ if it doesn't do anything
  • Protect also can be run to alleviate the threat of Fake Out from certain Pokemon, such as Mega Medicham. This will not allow Carracosta to beat Mega Lopunny, however, without sacrificing either Aqua Tail or Shell Smash

**Mixed Walls**: Mixed Walls such as Umbreon and Type: Null actually i think carra wins this, bc shell smash can boost faster than confide can drop, and at +5 (bc confide would go second) hydro vortex kos even max spdef with eviolite. can boost their already high defenses even higher and live Carracosta’s boosted attacks.

Usage Tips
========

For example, if Magearna uses Iron Defense turn 1, a special Hydro Vortex will KO, but if it uses Calm Mind a second Shell Smash before a physical Hydro Vortex followed by an Aqua Jet will KO even after an Iron Defense.
  • Also against certain Taunt users, like Taunt Reflect Tapu Lele, attacking immediately should be considered as they may try to use Taunt turn 1, although this is still a mind game.
Team Options
========
While, Carracosta can get through bulkier Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X with the help of Shell Smash.
=============

  • A physical set with Rockium Z that runs Stone Edge with Earthquake for coverage can be used to target Flying-types as well like Dragonite but isn’t as strong against Steel-types and is more susceptible to Will-O-Wisp.
  • Ice Beam provides good coverage that complements Carracosta’s STAB if it commits to a single attacking side. These moves can threaten opposing and Dragon-types like Groundium Garchomp.
  • Protect also can be run to alleviate the threat of Fake Out from certain Pokemon, such as Mega Medicham. This will not allow Carracosta to beat Mega Lopunny, however, without sacrificing either Aqua Tail or Shell Smash
Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Grass-types such as Mega Venusaur and Whimsicott have no problem taking Carracosta’s Hydro Vortex and responding with their own moves.

**Water-types**: Bulky Water-types such as Mega Gyarados or Primarina can similarly take Hydro Vortex before attacking.

**Fake Out Users**: Mega Lopunny, Zeraora, and Mega Medicham all use Fake Out to break Carracosta’s Sturdy before KOing it with a powerful STAB attack.

**Bulky Fast Priority Pokemon**: Pokémon that can take Carracosta’s moves and respond with their own priority moves such as Donphan and Dragonium Dragonite can shut down Carracosta without giving it too many opportunities to attack.

**Mixed Walls**: Mixed Walls such as Umbreon can boost their already high defenses even higher and live Carracosta’s boosted attacks.

Waterium Z powers up either Hydro Pump, or Aqua Tail, or Aqua Jet to Hydro Vortex to deal as much damage as possible. 240 Speed and a Naive Nature allows it to outspeed Base 110 Pokémon after a Shell Smash, notably Mega Metagross. Sturdy is a key ability, allowing Carracosta one free turn to set-up Shell Smash. 16 Attack lets Carracosta KO Mega Charizard Y in the Sun with physical Hydro Vortex followed up by Aqua Jet. The remaining 252 EVs are in Special Attack to maximize the damage output of special Hydro Vortex. (These last 2 sentences are backwards. 16 Attack isn't calced for anything while 252 SpA is just to deal as much damage as possible. Reword)

Usage Tips
========
Carracosta can be used against a wide variety of Pokémon as long as they don’t resist its STAB like Kommo-o or have a good priority move like Dragonite and Donphan. Against most bulky Pokémon like Mega Metagross, Tapue Lele, and Meloetta, turn 1 can be used to set up Shell Smash. However, against Pokémon faster or might become faster than Base 110 such as Choice Scarf Porygon Z or Speed Boost Mega Blaziken and against opposing Sturdy or Trace Pokémon like Magnezone or Gardevoir, turn 1 should be used to attack. Usually, special Hydro Vortex should be used unless the Pokémon is significantly more specially defensive or has set-up a Calm Mind like Magearna or Tapu Lele. In this case physical Hydro Vortex should be used. When the opposing Pokémon is low, Aqua Jet should be used because it has priority and the best accuracy. Against Pokemon that can boost either or both defensive stats, such as Magearna, Tapu Lele, Z-Celebrate Meloetta, and Z-Conversion Porygon-Z, it is ideal to repeatedly use Shell Smash, so long as Sturdy remains intact, then follow up with a high-powered Hydro Vortex to hit whichever stat the opponent has boosted up the least.

Team Options
========
Carracosta is particularly strong when paired with Fire- and Grass-type pokemon such as Mega Charizard Y, Heatran, Mega Venusaur, and Kartana. Carracosta can cover the opposing Fire-types like Mega Charizard X and opposing Heatran, that threaten both the Fire-types and Grass-types, while the Fire-types can threaten opposing Mega Venusaur (do Fire-types threaten Mega Venusaur by merit of being Fire-type? Reword to remove the implication that Fire-types are good against Mega Venusaur or just replace Mega Venu with a different example) and Ferrothorn, and the Grass-types can threaten opposing Water-types like Primarina and Tapu Fini. Choice Scarf users like Porygon-Z, Landorus-T, and Victini are helpful in dealing with Fake Out users like Mega Lopunny, Mega Medicham and non-Max Speed (Lando-T and Victini easily outspeed Zera and Porygon-Z has the option to run Timid) Zeraora. While, In return, (or something of that effect - how it is now is not a complete sentence) Carracosta can get through bulkier Pokemon such as Meloetta and Heatran with the help of Shell Smash. Electric-types like Zeroara and Magnezone can also be helpful as they can deal with bulky Water-types such as Primarina and Tapu Fini that Carracosta struggles with., wWhile Carracosta can deal with annoying Ground-types like Landorus-T and non-Extreme Speed Zygarde.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
A physical set with Rockium Z that runs Stone Edge with Earthquake for coverage can be used to target Flying-types as well like Dragonite but isn’t as strong against Steel-types and is more susceptible to Will-O-Wisp. Ice Beam provides good coverage that complements Carracosta’s STAB if it commits to a single attacking side. These moves can threaten opposing and Dragon-types like Groundium Garchomp. Protect also can be run to alleviate the threat of Fake Out from certain Pokemon, such as Mega Medicham. This will not allow Carracosta to beat Mega Lopunny, however, without sacrificing either Aqua Tail or Shell Smash.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Type Resistances**: Bulky Water-types and Grass-types such as Mega Gyarados, Primarina, Mega Venusaur, Whimsicott, Kommo-o, and Mega Altaria can all take Hydro Vortex before attacking.

**Mixed Walls**: Mixed Walls such as Umbreon, Clefable, and Quagsire can boost their already high defenses even higher and live Carracosta’s boosted attacks.

**Taunt users** Certain Taunt users like Tapu Lele and Mega Sableye, attacking immediately should be considered as they may try to use Taunt turn 1, although this is still a mind game. (This isn't usage tips. Explain how Taunt users beat Carracosta, not how Carracosta should play against them.)

[OVERVIEW]
Carracosta is a powerful Pokémon Pokemon thanks to its combination of Shell Smash, mixed offense offensive coverage, Sturdy, and priority moves Aqua Jet (technically “moves” isn’t correct because it only gets one priority move). With Shell Smash and Waterium Z it can outpace and OHKO a lot of Pokémon Pokemon such as Heatran, Landorus-T, and Porygon-Z. With priority in Aqua Jet, Carracosta can beat opposing Sturdy Pokémon Pokemon such as Magnezone, Crustle, or Pokémon Pokemon that trace Sturdy like Mega Gardevoir. Because it can go mixed, it can easily threaten biased (I don’t think this is the correct term and it was a bit confusing to read; maybe change it to “Pokemon without mixed defensive investment?”) defensive Pokémon Pokemon, and isn’t threatened by Will-oO-Wisp (capital letter) from Mega Charizard X or Mega Gardevoir like many other Sturdy Pokémon Pokemon are. Unfortunately, Carracosta can’t effectively run mixed STAB moves, priority, Shell Smash, and coverage in one set, (AC) and individual non-mixed sets lose out on key power that could be helpful. It is also is reliant on its STAB moves, meaning Pokémon who Pokemon that resist it them like Mega Venusaur can easily beat it (technically Mega Venusaur doesn’t resist its Rock STAB, so you might wanna specify that it’s about the Water STAB). It’s also extremely slow and can be beaten by faster priority Pokémon Pokemon like Donphan or it can be prevented from setting up because of Taunt from Pokemon like Tapu Lele.

(add full stop) Aqua Jet is a STAB-boosted priority move that can beat opposing Sturdy Pokémon Pokemon such as Magnezone and Crustle, and can help to dealing additional necessary chip (implies that you’re chipping away at it, but I assume you want to defeat the foe straightaway with aqua jet) damage to Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y. This can also can be used as a physical Hydro Vortex, which can aid against Pokemon like Magearna. Aqua Tail is a second another (very nitpicky but this is the third option you’ve mentioned, not the second) option for Hydro Vortex that can take out Calm Mind Pokémon such as Meloetta or naturally specially defensive Pokemon like Chansey. Rock Slide can be used as a Rock-type STAB move against Pokemon that resist Carracosta's water Water STAB such as Mega Charizard Y (it doesn’t resist Water though, so I’d replace this with something else, or change “resist” to something like “that can survive”), Kyurem, and Araquanid.

Shell Smash is the most important move on this set as it allows for Carracosta to boost both its attack, special attack, offensive stats and Speed to +2 and OHKO the opposing Pokémon Pokemon like Mega Charizard X or and Mega Metagross at the start of turn 2. Hydro Pump is the special STAB Water-type STAB move used as the base for Hydro Vortex to KO most opposing Pokémon such as Mega Charizard X and Magearna. (AP) Aqua Jet is STAB priority that can beat finish off opposing Sturdy Pokémon Pokemon such as Magnezone and Crustle (RC) and can help dealing deal additional necessary chip damage to Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y. This also can be used as for a physical Hydro Vortex, which can aid against Pokemon like Magearna. Aqua Tail is a second option for Hydro Vortex that can take out Calm Mind Pokémon Pokemon such as Meloetta or naturally specially defensive Pokemon like Chansey. Alternatively, Rock Slide can be used as a Rock-type STAB against Pokemon that resist Carracosta's Water-type STAB moves such as Mega Charizard Y, (doesn't resist it + you've mentioned more "neutral" targets before) Kyurem, and Araquanid.

Set Details
========
Waterium Z powers up either Hydro Pump, Aqua Tail, or Aqua Jet to Hydro Vortex to deal as much damage as possible. 240 Speed EVs and a Naive nature allows it allow Carracosta to outspeed base 110 Pokémon Pokemon after a Shell Smash, notably Mega Metagross. The remaining EVs are put into first Special Attack (RC) is maximized to boost the power of Z-Hydro Pump special Hydro Vortex, and since it Carracosta already has superb Attack, and then the remaining EVs go into Attack (RC) in order to aid against Mega Charizard Y with Z-Aqua Tail into physical Hydro Vortex followed by Aqua Jet. Sturdy is a key ability, allowing allows Carracosta one free turn to set up (RH) Shell Smash.

Usage Tips
========
Carracosta can be used against a wide variety of Pokémon as long as they don’t don't resist its STAB attacks like Kommo-o or have a good priority move like Dragonite and Donphan. Against most bulky Pokémon Pokemon like Mega Metagross, Tapue Lele, and Meloetta, turn 1 can be used to set up Shell Smash. However, against Pokémon Pokemon faster or might become potentially faster than base 110 such as Choice Scarf Porygon-Z (AH) or and Speed Boost Mega Blaziken and against opposing Sturdy or Trace Pokémon users like Magnezone or and Gardevoir, turn 1 should be used to attack. Usually, special Hydro Vortex should be used unless the Pokémon Pokemon is significantly more specially defensive or has set up (RH) a Calm Mind like Magearna or Tapu Lele. In this case, (AC) physical Hydro Vortex should be used. When the opposing Pokémon Pokemon is low weakened, Aqua Jet should be used because it has priority and the best accuracy. Against Pokemon that can boost either or both defensive stats, such as Magearna, Tapu Lele, Z-Celebrate Meloetta, and Z-Conversion Porygon-Z, it is ideal to repeatedly use Shell Smash, so as long as Sturdy remains intact, then and follow up with a high-powered Hydro Vortex to hit whichever stat the opponent has boosted up the least.

Team Options
========
Carracosta is particularly strong when paired with Fire- and Grass-type Pokemon such as Mega Charizard Y, Heatran, Mega Venusaur, and Kartana. Carracosta can cover the opposing Fire-types like Mega Charizard X and opposing Heatran, that threaten both the Fire-types and Grass-types, for them while the Fire-types can threaten Serperior and Ferrothorn (RC) and the Grass-types can threaten opposing Water-types like Primarina and Tapu Fini. Electric-types like Zeroara and Magnezone can also be helpful, (AC) as they can deal with bulky Water-types such as Primarina and Tapu Fini that Carracosta struggles with, while Carracosta can deal with annoying Ground-types like Landorus-T and non-Extreme Speed Zygarde.

Other Options
=============
A physical set with Rockium Z that runs Stone Edge with Earthquake for coverage can be used to target Flying-types as well like Dragonite but isn’t isn't as strong against Steel-types and is more susceptible to Will-O-Wisp. Ice Beam provides good coverage that complements Carracosta’s Carracosta's STAB attacks if it commits to a single attacking side. (to special attacks? if so change pls) These moves can threaten opposing (word is missing here) and Dragon-types like Groundium Z Garchomp. Protect also can be run to alleviate the threat of Fake Out from certain Pokemon, such as Mega Medicham. This will not allow Carracosta to beat Mega Lopunny, however, without sacrificing either Aqua Tail or Shell Smash.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Type Resistances**: Bulky Water-and Grass-types such as Mega Gyarados, Primarina, Mega Venusaur, Whimsicott, Kommo-o, and Mega Altaria can all take Hydro Vortex before attacking.

**Fake Out Users**: Mega Lopunny, Zeraora, and Mega Medicham all use Fake Out to break Carracosta’s Sturdy before KOing it with a powerful STAB attack.

**Bulky Fast Priority Pokemon**: Pokémon Pokemon that can take Carracosta’s Carracosta's moves and respond with their own priority moves such as Donphan and Dragonium Z Dragonite can shut down Carracosta without giving it too many opportunities to attack.

**Mixed Walls**: Mixed walls such as Umbreon, Clefable, and Quagsire can boost their already high defenses even higher and live Carracosta’s tank Carracosta's boosted attacks.

**Taunt users**: (add colon) Certain Taunt users like Tapu Lele and Mega Sableye can attempt to predict when stop Carracosta will raise from raising its stats with Shell Smash and shut that down; however, this can be somewhat worked around, if Carracosta attacks when they use Taunt.

[OVERVIEW]
Carracosta is a powerful Pokemon thanks to its combination of Shell Smash, mixed offense movepool, Sturdy, and priority moves. With Shell Smash and Waterium Z, it can outpace and OHKO a lot of Pokemon such as Heatran, Landorus-T, and Porygon-Z, while priority in Aqua Jet allows it to beat opposing Sturdy Pokemon such as Magnezone and(add comma) Crustle(add comma) and Trace users like Mega Gardevoir. (subjective: reads kinda weird with two "ands" imo and Trace becomes Sturdy anyway so it's not like the meaning changes) Because Carracosta can run a mixed set, it can easily threaten defensive Pokemon and isn’t threatened by Will-O-Wisp from Mega Charizard X or Mega Gardevoir like many other Sturdy Pokemon are. It's also extremely slow and can be beaten by faster priority users like Donphan or can be prevented from setting up by Taunt users like Tapu Lele.

caught a couple more instances of Pokemon with the accented e; highlighted the whole word so they're easy to find. not much to say outside of the comment on the Type Resistances section. GP 2/2.
