Cartoons

Some of my favorites were:

Arthur
Dexter's Lab
Jabberjaw
Jackie Chan Adventures
Johnny Bravo
The Magic School Bus
Ozzy & Drix
Powerpuff Girls
Scooby Doo
Static Shock
Teen Titans
Totally Spies
The Zeta Project

I was more into anime, but I still find these shows entertaining.

I watch Nickelodeon all the time, so I like Spongebob Squarepants, Fairly Odd Parents, and pretty much whatever cartoon is on. I especially enjoy the older cartoons from the 90's since I grew up on that stuff. I also love Adventure Time and Regular Show, along with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and maybe some Flapjack or Chowder every once in a while.

yessssss i am feeling the EEE love in here

cartoon network was pretty much my childhood, if i wasn't at school i was at home watching CN all day on our hideous pay tv set top box

toonami was undeniably spectacular too with that robot guy

speaking of robots whatever happened to whatever happened to... robot jones? that thing was pretty short-lived :(

also i cannot watch CN these days the amount of absolute shit being produced like flapjack and chowder and my gym partner's a monkey causes agony to my eyes and to the majestic light in which i view CN (since i stopped watching it years ago when there were still decent programs being aired)

Samurai Jack, Megas XLR, Spongebob and Phineas & Ferb.

I want to add in Medabots, even though it is technically an anime. However, the dubbing makes it feel like such an north american show with comic references even thrown around, its so good.

Samurai motherfucking Jack. Every episode seems so tense because almost nobody ever says anything, so what little they do say has a lot more weight. I think that's what put it over the line from good show to greatest show.

I haven't really watched a whole lot of cartoons (besides Pokemon) recently, but I can't deny that I enjoy Adventure Time and My Little Pony.

flapjack was probably the greatest thing to ever happen. excellent art style, amazing sense of humor with the -adult- twist (CRABS! I've got CRABS!), lovable characters, just funny as shit. spongebob before the movie is without a doubt the best cartoon ever produced. without a doubt. ren and stimpy is also great.

i used to really dislike king of the hill, but i must say that it has grown on me quite a bit. i still wouldn't put it as a top 5 cartoon but it's pretty good.

futurama, oh man...the definition of hit-and-miss. when it hits (Philip J Fry, first man on Mars), it's orgasmic. when it misses (Leela starts a kids show), it's not even on my top 100. south park, if it counts, is so fucking good. many south park memories, especially when it was in its prime.

TOONAMI haha i loved that shit! samurai jack, i hardly remember that show except that it was awesome.

phineas and ferb is cool but it can be really kiddy / not have mature enough jokes. if it tossed in a bit of adult humor and wasn't so absolutely 100% kid oriented, it'd be way better.

/nostalgia trip

I had this same attitude until recently. Check out Adventure Time and Regular Show, they are both fantastic CN Cartoons. Also, why are you hating on Chowder? The early stuff was fantastic.

I mostly watched Nickelodeon when I was a youngster. Like everyone else, I also think pre-movie Spongebob is amazing. I did watch Cartoon Network quite a bit as well, my favorite shows were Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff Girls.

In terms of more adult animated shows, Seasons 3-9 of The Simpsons are awesome, everything else ranges from average to awful. Futurama is a much better show overall.

I have not watched any modern kids cartoons at all, with the exception of My Little Pony: Friendship of Magic. Pretty solid show, though episode quality varies a bit.

Let's see... In no particular order, these are the shows I still enjoy watching (or haven't watched in a while but have fond memories of and would probably still enjoy): Samurai Jack (this is probably my favorite cartoon ever), Avatar: The last Airbender (close second), the original Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Grievous was fucking awesome, especially compared to his lame-as-hell Episode 3 incarnation), Johnny Bravo, Invader Zim, Ren and Stimpy, South Park, Futurama, Family Guy, American Dad, Pre-Movie Simpsons, Pre-Movie Spongebob Squarepants, Teen Titans, Hey Arnold!, very early Pokemon, Regular Show, Megas XLR, Jackie Chan Adventures, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Animaniacs, Batman Beyond, Doug (oh man I forgot about this)

man does anybody but me remember the weekenders? that show was clever

oh and i just found out futurama was revived for a season 6 and there are like 15 new episodes already??? so i'm gonna be busy for the next few days

yeah been out for a bit and it definitely retains the humour that made me love the show. IIRC the voices were a bit deeper or something but that's just a very very small nitpick, enjoy them as they are great!

I can't believe Family Guy wasn't mentioned until almost the bottom of the first page...

Of course I ate up cartoons as a kid like everyone else, but after growing up and reflecting on it, very little western animation is actually appealing (except adult humor shows like Futurama and Family Guy).

Anyones opinions of Code Lyoko (the bomb up until the last episode...).

You're lucky, because I was a fan of Code Lyoko a few years ago but I found that a French TV channel is currently broadcasting the 3rd season.

Some of my other favorite cartoons are Tintin (I'm talking about the episodes made in 1991, not the elder ones) and Time Jam: Valerian & Laureline (I love watching this couple arguing for stupid reasons)

first few seasons of pokemon, courage the cowardly dog, hey arnold, powerpuff girls, invader zim, code lyoko (the theme song was catchy.) others too just dont wanna type them all.

and WTF is the big deal with adventure time? dident the adult swim people make it? its alright but its not the shit. -.-'

Mad Jack the Pirate was my favorite back in the day. Too bad it was discontinued :(

Also The Penguins of Madagascar is really hilarious.

does anyone remember static shock???????

no one said Jackie chan adventures? maybe I missed it

Mentioned both. :P Jackie Chan Adventures was probably my favorite non-anime show. Jade could get on my nerves, but the show had a lot of action. I have a bunch of disjointed memories of it... Might have to search for some episodes online.

I don't remember Static Shock as well, but it was pretty good too. I remember that people mutated in the "Big Bang" were called Bang Babies, which always amused me. Adam Evans aka Rubberbandman was awesome.
