Aren't I cute?

[Overview]

- Cute and Deadly
- Skill Link for reliability and more destruction compared to Technician
- Basically runs the same moves for every set
- Speedy
- Super frail
- Pretty standard stuff

[SET]
name: Life Orb
move 1: Tail Slap
move 2: Rock Blast
move 3: Bullet Seed
move 4: U-turn / Wake Up Slap
item: Life Orb
ability: Skill Link
nature: Jolly
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

With a Life Orb equipped, Cinccino consummately takes on Substitute abusers, scouts switch ins and cleans up late-game. Once physical walls and Choice Scarf holders have been removed, Cinccino can get to work finishing off the game. Tail Slap is Cinccino's signature STAB move which consistently hits five times thanks to Skill Link. It also lets Cinccino break through Substitutes and Focus Sashes that may be stopping its sweep. Rock Blast is another multi-hit move that takes down Ghost-types such as Haunter and Drifblim who are immune to Tail Slap. Its ability to continue hitting after breaking a Substitute is also very useful as both Ghosts often carry the move. Rock Blast also helps against

- Amazing lategame cleaner that decimates after walls have been weakened and revenge killers removed
- Tail Slap takes full advantage of Skill Link, having 125 Base Power plus STAB and the ability to break Substitutes
- Rock Blast hits Flying, Fire, Ice, Bug-types harder etc, especially Armaldo, Torkoal, Drifblim, Haunter
- Rock Blast hits Drifblim the hardest and does great damage to Ghosts that are immune to Tail Slap
- Bullet Seed for Rock-types that resist Tail Slap (Regirock, Golem, Relicanth, Carracosta), also for bulky water-types such as Alomomomola, Breaks Sturdy
- Bullet Seed is the most reliable move to kill stuff on low HP since Tail Slap and Rock Blast are inaccurate
- U-Turn to bounce away from Pokemon that wall Cinccino or if Cinccino cannot OHKO
- Wake Up Slap for 2hkoing Probopass and Bastiodon although it does little else and is quite weak

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

- Life Orb for power
- Sweeping EV spread
- Jolly to outspeed stuff like Swoobat and Serperior
- Adamant can be used for more power but Cinccino really likes outrunning Swoobat and other fast Pokemon
- Hazard support can help
- Alomomomomola is 2HKOd by Bullet Seed after Stealth Rock and 1 layer of Spikes
- Piloswine and Emboar are OHKOed after Stealth Rock plus 1 Spikes layer
- Substitute + Leftovers to avoid Sucker Punch and status but Cinccino loses power and requires more support to take down walls
- Bulky Walls such as Misdreavus can take priority such as Aqua Jet and Mach Punch
- Rapid Spin from Armaldo can help keep Cinccino alive longer, Armaldo can also setup Rocks and beat physical walls with Swords Dance
- Cinccino struggles with Ghosts such as Misdreavus so Skuntank / Absol are great teammates
- Regirock, Probopass, Bastiodon, Klang also troubles Cinccino so Torterra is a good teammate to U-turn to, can also setup Rocks
- Cacturne sets up Spikes as does Garbodor who resists Fighting-type attacks and can lay down both forms of Spikes
- Golurk can break walls and protect your teams hazards from Rapid Spin
- Zangoose can break through walls for Cinccino
- Can be used in a 'Volt Turn' strategy, Rotom-S, Eelektross etc

[SET]
name: Choice Band
move 1: Tail Slap
move 2: Rock Blast
move 3: Bullet Seed
move 4: U-turn / Wake Up Slap
item: Choice Band
ability: Skill Link
nature: Jolly
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

- Amazing lategame cleaner and Wall breaker with Choice Band
- U-Turn to bounce away from Pokemon that wall Cinccino or if Cinccino cannot OHKO
- Wake Up Slap for Probopass and Bastiodon although it does little else and is quite weak
- Reliably breaks through most walls and almost nothing can switch in safely

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

- Choice Band for wall breaking and sweeping power
- Jolly to outspeed stuff like Swoobat and Serperior
- Adamant can be used for more power but Cinccino really likes outrunning Swoobat and other fast Pokemon
- Hazard support can help although Cinccino can compensate with more power
- Bulky Walls such as Misdreavus can take priority such as Aqua Jet and Mach Punch
- Rapid Spin from Armaldo can help keep Cinccino alive longer, Armaldo can also setup Rocks and beat physical walls with Swords Dance
- Cinccino struggles with Ghosts such as Misdreavus so Skuntank / Absol are great teammates
- Regirock is now 2HKOd after Rocks, Golurk is OHKOd after Rocks
- Torterra, Golem, Gigalith, can all setup Rocks for Cinccino while also taking some physical hits that Cinccino may not like
- Cinccino can break walls for Tauros or Zangoose and vice versa
- Can be used in a 'Volt Turn' strategy, Rotom-S, Eelektross etc

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Tail Slap
move 2: Rock Blast
move 3: Bullet Seed
move 4: U-turn / Wake Up Slap
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Skill Link
nature: Adamant
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

- Revenge kills basically everything, even Swift Swim and Chlorophyll
- U-Turn to bounce away from Pokemon that wall Cinccino or if Cinccino cannot OHKO, scouts reliably with a Choice Scarf
- Wake Up Slap for Probopass and Bastiodon although it does little else and is quite weak

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

- Choice Scarf for ultimate revenge killing
- Adamant for more power, and Cinccino still outspeeds positive base 100 Scarfers!
- Needs Jolly to outspeed the relatively rare Scarf Timid Zebraiken
- Hazard support can help although Cinccino can compensate with more power
- Bulky Walls such as Misdreavus can take priority such as Aqua Jet and Mach Punch
- Rapid Spin from Armaldo can help keep Cinccino alive longer, Armaldo can also setup Rocks and beat physical walls with Swords Dance
- Cinccino struggles with Ghosts such as Misdreavus so Skuntank / Absol are great teammates
- Torterra, Golem, Gigalith, can all setup Rocks for Cinccino while also taking some physical hits that Cinccino may not like
- Wallbreakers such as Emboar are useful as Choice Scarf Cinccino is quite weak
- Hazard support is incredibly useful as Cinccino is quite weak and forces alot of switches with Choice Scarf

[Other Options]

- Aqua Tail
- Set up weather with fast speed
- Encore
- Work Up
- Technician
- Return
- Knock off
- Kings rock for massive haxing

[Checks and Counters]

- Misdreavus
- Regirock for everything that isn't Choice Band Bullet Seed
- Probopass and Bastiodon can take everything that isn't Wake Up Slap
- Alomomomomola can take anything that isn't Choice Band Bullet Seed and Wish Toxic Protect stall Cinccino
- Intimidate Mawile / Klang
- Physically defensive Miltank although it can be 2HKOd by Choice Band Tail Slap after Stealth Rock
- Weezing is shaky as it cannot withstand Choice Band and can be easily worn down by Stealth Rock
- Tangela and Amoonguss need to be careful of Tail Slap but can take a hit and retaliate with status.
- Fast Choice Scarfers for non Choice Scarf Cinccino
- The few naturally faster Pokemon such as Swellow
- Priority, Absol Sucker Punch, Samurott Aqua Jet, Gurdurr Mach Punch
- Status, Entry hazards, Spikes, Toxic Spikes etc
- Rocky Helmet lol

ctrl f Knock Off: not found

This is an issue; the move deserves AC in LO or OO. It can be nice to knock off an Eviolite from Tangela and then feel really accomplished. At the very least, it's better than Wake Up Slap.

Just a nitpick but I would mention that Wake Up Slap still 2hkos nearly all Probopass and Bastiodon but you are correct in it doing little else. And you're almost always better off U-Turning to like Torterra or Zangoose.

Are you sure you want all 3 sets separated? They play pretty similarly, I guess, but I can see why you broke all of them up. sweeper / wallbreaker / revenge killer, I guess.

Mention King's rock for being annoying.

Also I looked for spike mentions and I only saw "spikes help to ko this and this" but you never really mentioned any spikers. Cacturne is an amazing spiker + the best offensive one around, so I guess you can put him as a good teammate. Spikes + cinccino is pretty darn good.

OK so you asked me for a stamp so:

  • Mention Tangela / Amoonguss in counters. They can't switch in vs. Choice Band, but they have easy time switching into basically everything else.
  • In similar vein, Alomomola can't switch in on Bullet seed but can on everything else, and it gets to Toxic you and protect + switch out to stall you out.
  • Mention Rocky Helmet in checks & counters. It's not exactly the most popular thing at the moment but actually Rocky helmet stuff are cool as hell and they happen to just grind down Cinccino's HP to below half, especially with SR + LO damage. Stuff like rocky helmet Amoonguss / rock types like Carracosta, etc.
  • T-spikes, though not as popular / effective thanks to metagame changes, can wear down Cinccino as well.
  • Klang. Yeah, it's ass. And usable. Needs to watch out for Wake-up Slap etc. but without Technician less and less are using that. If you mention mawile you should mention klang.
  • For later GP convenience, just reminding that the correct grammar is "set up SR" not "setup SR"
  • More teammates perhaps... something like Golurk could work, preserving those hazards that Cinccino works so well with.
  • Something like Zangoose for the notorious double-Normal a la double dragon is also very strong, wearing down common counters but having Close Combat to hit Rock/Steel types. You can even spam up to 3 normals if you really want. Zangoose is also ridiculously strong etc. and after Toxic Orb takes effect you can switch in easily vs. stuff like Misdreavus with no penalty.
  • Perhaps Swellow deserves special mention for being faster than Cinccino without a scarf.

If you make that, consider it QC Approved 1/3

Mention in AC of scarf that jolly lets him beat scarf zebra.
I'll run a few calcs to check stuff in counters when I get on my computer, but I'd imagine if Miltank is a counter then Weezing should be able to switch in too.
I also liked a mini volturn core with Eelektross and Cinccino, as both force numerous switches, allowing you to take the momentum and take the the reins of the match. I guess this should probably just go in LO and CB, scarf is probably too weak to do significant wearing down over the match, although it is up to you.
Mention that Garbodor is a fantastic partner as it switches in on Fighting-type attacks (i.e. Gurdurr and Sawk), and then provides spikes which are fantastically helpful for Cinccino due to his switch causing nature, access to U-turn, and the ability to gain 2hkoes on Pokemon such as Tangela.
When all this and amarillo's stuff is implemented:
QC approved 2/3

252 Atk Life Orb Cinccino Tail Slap vs 252 HP/252 Def Miltank (+Def) : 38.07% - 44.92%
252 Atk Life Orb Cinccino Tail Slap vs 252 HP/252 Def Weezing (+Def) : 40.72% - 47.9%

Weezing is shaky at best but I mentioned it.
I mentioned all your other changes too
Thanks for the stamps Shnen and Amarillo! One more to go

  • Mention Haunter being hit by Rock Blast along with Drifblim
  • Mention how Torterra is a great Pokemon to U-Turn to when faced with Bastiodon / Probopass / Klang.
  • "- Rock Blast takes care of Flying, Fire, Ice, Bug-types etc," Honestly remove this, its redundant when Tail Slap will destory most of them anyway. Replace this with things that Rock Blast actually hits significantly harder, i.e. Armaldo.
  • Mention Relicanth and Carracosta with Bullet Seed.
  • "Regirock is now 2HKOd after Rocks" This is not true of the Choice Scarf set with 252 HP Leftovers Regirock.
As a lot of the bullet points are copy and pasted (nothing wrong here, the sets are very similar) be sure to differentiate the sets when you write them up. Focus on what each set does differently, and emphasise that throughout. I know you will but just to be sure.

QC Approve 3/3

Yeah, all the sets have the same moves so I saw no harm in a little copy paste :p
Implemented your suggestions, thanks for the stamp Django! Ill get this written up 'soon'

Had a brief moment to talk with Endorfins about this on IRC. A Cinccino analysis was uploaded just before the shifts, so allowing him to reserve it and post a skeleton was a mistake on my end, when all Cinccino really needed was a few edits to remain relevant to the current metagame. I went through this skeleton and added everything that was missing to the current on-site analysis. No reason to write this up, for the time being.
