[SET COMMENTS]

Cinderace finds a niche in the AAA metagame as one of its naturally fastest U-turn users, which lets it make the most of forcing out common Pokemon such as Corviknight and Heatran with its good coverage. Life Orb and Magic Guard allow Cinderace to hit hard while avoiding recoil, entry hazards, and Rocky Helmet damage. Cinderace's Fire typing allows it to offensively check Triage Pokemon, as it resists Draining Kiss and Grass-type moves, and the common Genesect. Its recoil-free Flare Blitz can pressure common defensive Pokemon such as Corviknight. Gunk Shot and High Jump Kick are the main coverage options to threaten Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Flash Fire Steel-types such as Ferrothorn. However, Court Change is also commonly run over High Jump Kick for team support.

Cinderace's momentum generation makes it a good fit on many teams. It appreciates Pokemon such as Zapdos and Tapu Koko forcing out checks like Kommo-o and Toxapex. For Zarude and Terrakion, Cinderace is able to deal with Corviknight, while they can break through Swampert. Cinderace also appreciates Pokemon like Choice Specs Azelf or and Sheer Force Genesect to threaten Primordial Sea Zapdos. A strong answer to Barrawskewda such as Tapu Fini is also needed, as it can come on Flare Blitz and threaten a KO. Cinderace works well on teams with multiple pivots, as it lacks the bulk needed to switch in directly multiple times.

[SET COMMENTS]

Desolate Land Cinderace is an effective fast pivot, which is great in a momentum-dependent format such as AAA. Desolate Land Pyro Ball heavily damages even resistant foes like Tapu Fini and Swampert. Desolate Land also gives Cinderace a Water immunity and can help it soft check Primordial Sea users. Cinderace is also able to offensively check many Triage users and Genesect due to its Fire typing. Heavy-Duty Boots is more common to improve Cinderace's role as a fast pivot, but lacks a Choice Banded sets high damage output, and may sometimes miss out on KOs. Gunk Shot heavily damages Tapu Fini and can fish for poison on switch-ins such as Dauntless Shield Kommo-o. Court Change provides team support, while High Jump Kick damages Pokemon such as Flash Fire Corviknight and Ferrothorn, which are difficult for Cinderace to break through. Sucker Punch can be run to KO weakened faster threats such as Barraskewda. Cinderace can opt for Choice Scarf to outspeed and OHKO common Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Azelf and Tapu Koko.

Desolate Land Cinderace appreciates Electric-type Pokemon such as Zapdos and Tapu Koko to force out most bulky Water-types and Flash Fire users. Tapu Koko and Tapu Lele can force out Kommo-o for it. Desolate Land pairs well with other Water-weak Pokemon, which appreciate being able to switch in without fear of a Water-type move. Cinderace also pairs well with Pokemon such as Terrakion and Zarude, which struggle with Corviknight. Pokemon like Assault Vest Swampert and Blissey can switch in on slower Primordial Sea users such as Zapdos, which can force out Cinderace, especially if it's Choice-locked into Pyro Ball. Choice Band sets require good entry hazard removal and other strong pivots to enter safely, as they're susceptible to chip damage through hazards and pivoting moves from defensive Pokemon. In contrast, Heavy-Duty Boots sets may lack the damage to break through defensive checks and require offensive support.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============

Cinderace does not have many other viable coverage moves, other than the moves listed, but it can run Tinted Lens over Desolate Land in order to break through checks such as Swampert. It can also run Taunt and Super Fang to frustrate defensive checks it normally does not beat like Flash Fire Corviknight, Dauntless Shield Mew, and Kommo-o. Cinderace can sometimes run a Bulk Up set on more offensive teams to aid itself and its teammates in sweeping through checks. Zen Headbutt can be used on Choice Band sets to break through Toxapex and Kommo-o, but it is otherwise a weak move.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Physically Defensive Fire-resistant Pokemon:** Physically defensive Fire-resistant Pokemon such as Swampert, Garchomp, Kommo-o, and Toxapex take very little damage from Cinderace's primary move and can usually force it out.

**Primordial Sea Barraskewda and Zapdos**: Primordial Sea Barraskewda and Zapdos can switch in on a predicted Fire-type move, force Cinderace out, and pivot on switch-ins.

**Flash Fire Corviknight**: Flash Fire Corviknight can switch into all of Cinderace's attacks and slow pivot to a teammate that threatens it.

**Dauntless Shield Users**: Dauntless Shield users such as Mew, Hippowdon, and Kommo-o are able to avoid major damage from Cinderace's attacks, and they can pivot out or set up Stealth Rock on it. However, they all fear Gunk Shot, as it can poison them and wear them down throughout the game.

**Faster Offensive Pokemon**: While Cinderace has a very good Speed tier, there are still faster offensive Pokemon that are able to force it out. Examples are Talonflame, Tapu Koko, and Choice Scarf Azelf, which threaten OHKOs or major damage.

Cinderace finds a niche in the AAA metagame by being one of that naturally fastest U-turn users in the tier, which, paired with Cinderace's high Attack stat and good movepool, allows Cinderace to force out common Pokemon such Corviknight and Tapu Fini. Cinderace holds a Life Orb as Magic Guard removes both the recoil from it and the need to run Heavy Duty Boots due to its Rock-type weakness. Life Orb and Magic Guard allow Cinderace to hit hard while avoiding recoil, hazards, and Rocky Helmet chip. I would dedicate a full sentence to Flare Blitz; physical Fire STAB is very good in AAA right now, especially pressuring Corv. Gunk Shot and High Jump Kick are run to allow Cinderace to threaten Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Tapu Lele or Flash Fire Steel-types such as Ferrothorn. Court Change can be run over High Jump Kick to provide hazard support for its team. A Jolly nature is used to take advantage of Cinderace's high base Speed stat.

Cinderace is able to fit on many different types of teams due its good offensive movepool and ability to gain momentum for its team. It appreciates Pokemon such as Zapdos or Tapu Koko who are able to threaten out Pokemon like Flash Fire Corviknight, who are able to live Cinderace's attacks well. Cinderace also works well in conjunction with Pokemon such as Zarude or Terrakion, as Cinderace is able to deal with Corviknight, a Pokemon that both Zarude and Terrakion struggle to break. Need to talk about it's checks more, especially Primordial Sea Zapdos. I would also mention that it works best with other pivots, as it has a hard time switching in directly. And its Fire typing makes it a nice offensive check to Triage and Genesect.

Paragraph 1:
- role that the Pokemon plays
- coverage moves that affect its role

- EV spread in one sentence or less

Desolate Land Cinderace, similarly to its MGLO set, don't reference other sets is able to be an effective fast pivot, a great trait to have in a momentum dependent format such as AAA. Desolate Land allows Cinderace to psuedo-check Primordial Sea users such as Barraskewda and Zapdos. One imporant advantage that Desolate Land has over Magic Guard is a 50% boost to Cinderace's Fire-type attacks, opposed to the 30% boost from Life Orb, which can then be further boosted by a Choice Band to improve its ability to break defensive pokemon like Swampert. Desolate Land, especially in conjunction with Choice Band, give Cinderace a powerful STAB attack that heavily damages even resistant foes like Tapu Fini and Swampert. It also gives Cinderace a Water Immunity and can helps soft check Primordial Sea users. Heavy Duty Boots can also be run to improve its role as a fast pivot, while still providing a damage boost to its STAB. Need to talk about its other coverage moves; what does Gunk Shot hit? How do you choose Court Change vs High Jump Kick vs Sucker Punch? Likewise, Cinderace can opt to hold a Choice Scarf to outspeed common Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Azelf or Tapu Koko, who it can then OHKO. A Jolly nature is used to take advantage of Cinderace's high base Speed stat.

Desolate Land Cinderace appreciates Pokemon such as Zapdos or Tapu Koko who are able to threaten out pokemon like Flash Fire Corviknight, who are able to live Cinderace's attacks well. It also appreciates Pokemon that are able to switch in on slower Primordial Sea users such as a Zapdos, who are able to force a Cinderace Choice locked into a Fire-type move. Need to elaborate on team role more. Band needs heavy hazard removal support, works best with other pivots to bring it in, Boots can lack power and needs help breaking through resists. Still a good Triage/Gene soft check

Other Options
=============

List some options for the Pokemon user that are plausible but not always recommended due to either being not consistent enough or too outclassed by other Pokemon in the metagame.

Cinderace does not have many coverage moves that it can viably run, but it can opt to run Tinted Lens over Desolate Land in order to break through checks such as Swampert. Cinderace is also able to run a Regenerator set with Taunt and Super Fang to stop pokemon such as Flash Fire Corviknight from Roosting. frustrate defensive checks it normally does not beat like Flash Fire Corviknight and Dauntless Shield Mew.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Physically Defensive Swampert**: Swampert is problem for Cinderace, as none of Cinderace's attacks can 2HKO Swampert, while Swampert is able to do massive amounts of damage to Cinderace with Flip Turn and Earthquake. Swampert is able to slow-pivot on Cinderace and bring in a another powerful breaker.

**Primordial Sea Barraskewda and Zapdos**: Primordial Sea Barraskewda and Primordial Sea Zapdos are able to switch-in on a predicted Fire-type move, which it is immune to due to their ability. They able both able to threaten an OHKO on Cinderace, forcing Cinderace out and allowing both to pivot on whatever is switched in.

**Flash-Fire Corviknight**: Similarly to Swampert, Flash-Fire Coviknight is able to switch into all of Cinderace's attacks and slow-pivot out into another breaker that threatens Cinderace.

**Faster Offensive Pokemon**: While Cinderace has a very good speed-tier, there are still faster offensive Pokemon that are able to force it out. Pokemon such as Talonflame, Tapu Koko, and Choice Scarf Azelf are able to outspend Cinderace and threaten OHKOs or major chip on Cinderace.

Good start, but not ready to give this QC approval yet. In particular the second paragraph of both sets needs to do a better job describing team role, checks, and good teammates. Let me know when you've had a change to review these suggestions, feel free to reach out with any questions, and I'm confident you'll have this ready for approval soon!

**Primordial Sea Barraskewda and Zapdos**: Primordial Sea Barraskewda and Zapdos are able to switch-in on a predicted Fire-type move. They are both able to threaten an OHKO on Cinderace, forcing Cinderace out and allowing both to pivot on whatever is switched in.

**Flash-Fire Corviknight**: Similarly to Swampert, Flash-Fire Coviknight is able to switch into all of Cinderace's attacks and slow-pivot out into another breaker that threatens Cinderace.

**Dauntless Shield Users**: Dauntless Shield users such as Mew, Hippowdon, and Kommo-o are able to avoid major damage from Cinderace’s attack, and can pivot out or set up Stealth rocks on it. However, they all fear Gunk Shot as it can poison them and wear them down thoughout the game.
