Clans on Smogon?

Would it be possible for Smogon to have a Clans/Teams forum?

If you don't know what I mean by Clans, then I'll explain:

Clans are formed by members, and other members join them. You *can* set a limit to members, but that's not required. Clans war other clans by the members battling other members on wifi (or Shoddy would also work =) ).

If you have any questions, I'll try my best to answer them.

Rofl, like you've never seen Pokemon clans. They're on Serebii, PE2K, they used to be on PokeCommunity. I don't know how they would work out here though. Seems like a kind of good idea.

We have user groups. I would have thought they would be quite adequate if you wanted to do this.

I think Smogon has always been opposed to clans since the days of Netbattle, since it's more of a "noob" thing. Besides, there's already social groups. You can start a group with other people and you get your own forum and everything.
