What's a good mixed spread for utility unaware clef's? Is there a way to mix defenses and take 2 leaf storms from LO serp after rocks?

Branflakes325 brought up a really good spread which is 248 HP / 204 Def / 48 SDef / 8 Spe, Calm Nature.
Though Serp has a high chance to 2HKO after rocks. Protect mitigates this as Clef can regain some health. If you want an under 50% chance for a 2HKO, you'd need to heavily invest in SDef which could be detrimental to Clef.

You'd need 120 SpD for a chance lower than 50 for Serp to 2HKO.

252 SpA Life Orb Serperior Leaf Storm vs. 248 HP / 120+ SpD Clefable: 168-199 (42.7 - 50.6%) -- 40.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Hi there, thanks for the polite and detailed response. You're a friendly face on this forum. Just found that 132 SPDEF is necessary to wish protect stall leaf storms. I say this because I'm extremely weak to serp if it gets a free switch and I need a consistent response. However that 132 also hits the pleasant benchmark of surviving a scarf hydro pump x2 from keldeo after rocks. What does the above spread hit benchmarks for? I think I'll have to leave my clef physically vulnerable (got team mates to cover that though), but I'm very interested in the above spread for future reference.

The spread let's Clef survive a +2 Waterfall from Mega Gyarados and not die to Sharp Beak Talonflame and Mega Lopunny. I'm paraphrasing what branflakes325 said, but yeah it's a mixed bulk spread that allows Clef to check Manaphy and Serp while still letting it check physical threats such as the ones I mentioned.
