got sniped, put in a new lvl1 male. so do people snipe in order to troll or is there somebody out there that looked at cutiefly and said, "yo, look at that cutiefly! and all they want is a zapdos? BARGAIN!"?

Haha, who knows...! There's many possible reasons, some of them are other giveaways that are using bots to automatically send their Pokémon, others are probably people who spend a lot of time on Wonder Trade and end up with a lot of legendaries over time and go on the GTS to be "generous". There may be trolls too... it's really impossible to know!
