Conkeldurr

I think the best spread for SubPunch Conk would be 212 HP / 248 Atk / 44 Spe with Adamant. Can make 101 Subs to set-up on Blissey and Chansey if they decide to stay in for some crazy reason, enough Speed to outspeed them and Hippo, so that your Focus Punch hits before Whirlwind phases you. Why would you use Thunderpunch anyway? Starmie is murdered by Focus Punch, as is Gyarados, so only Tentacruel and Jellicent are the real targets, which is cool i guess. But Ice Punch is way better, because dealing with Gliscor, Lando(-T), Celebi, Amoonguss, and dragons is much more important. I have also thought of running Black Belt instead of Lefties, so that Mach Punch can revenge kill everything (does 75% min to Terrakion and 40% min to Genesect). If i were to do this i should probably use Conk with Wish support and weather to cancel sandstorm. Thoughts?

Many Conkelldurr is one cool Pokemon. Very underrated and he deserves a lot more respect when it comes to being a fighting type in the metagame. His biggest flaw had got to be the prevelance of powerful Special attackers like Tornadus - T, Latios, Gengar and Alakazam. But what separates him from the rest of the crowd is the fact he can break through other common fighting type, dragon type and flying type counters with a strong Ice Punch. Gliscor no longer counters Conk and Tornadus - T will think twice about switching in freely. I remember at the start of BW2 I thought Conk we become a new huge threat, but he was used even less than he was in BW1. But Conkelldurr now can expand beyond the traditional Bulk Up set with the introduction of Iron Fist. With Conkelldurrs already monstrous attack stat he can make great use of this with Focus Punch and Ice Punch. While Mach Punch gives you a strong priority.

Alexwolf basically came up with probably the best variant of the set as it gives it solid subs with powerful punches. The strength that Focus Punch has is unbelievable and is really just amazing when combined with Iron Fist. It destroys Starmie, especially more offensive versions. Ice Punch isn't too weak either which gives it just enough power to kill off what it needs too. Gliscor and Tornadus - T both get killed by it. However Iron Fist should only be used when in conjunction with this set. Guts is much better on Bulk Up as it prevents immediate prevention through status like burn or poison. This gives your slower based approach a more appropriate way of succeeding. Not being effected by status in a completely negative way Is always a good bonus. Bulk Up doesn't need that power too much as Bulk Up will be providing after set up. Focus Punch needs it for the extra strength needed to succeed. I will need to be trying that SubPunch set as it looks really cool especially considering that Conkelldurr is pretty naturally bulky.

I can attest to the power that subpunch conkeldurr has from my experience with subpunch hitmonchan (who runs the same identical set). Focus Punch becomes rediculously powerful with support from iron fist and black belt, able to ohko most things with the combination of FP+MP. I'd imagine that conkeldurr can pull off the set better with much higher base attack and natural bulk.

Wouldn't FocusPunch hit first even if you're slower ? Since the priority of the move is higher than phazing moves. Maybe I'm mistaking because of other generations mechanism.
But if that's the case, this speed could be reinvested in Bulk which is always good for Substitutes.

Oh and I already met this set, it totally took me off guard but once the surprise factor is gone, it's possible to play around. However if your opponent brings it at the right tiime (when you have no solid answer anymore to Conkeldurr) it can get some kills really easily.
I would like to test some RestTalk sets with Guts :o

Yeah, it would. Focus Punch is -3 priority; Roar/Whirlwind are -6.

Yeah sry guys my bad. But still the Speed EVs are helpful to make sure that you outspeed any Chansey that might try to Toxic you, as most of them can take a Drain Punch, and then try to stall you with their walls.

I've always found Ice Punch to be a superior option on Conk to payback in the BW2 meta, the chance to hit the therians, Celebi, and dragons harder cannot be overlooked. As others have stated before Focus Punch from Conk hits things like Starmie hard enough, dealing 74.71% - 88.12% to 4 HP/0 Def Starmie, and 58.95% - 69.44% to 252 HP/20 Def Starmie, but in case of the bulky Starmie you cannot win 1v1 as it can recover off the damage and beat you with psychic.

I agree with PDC that guts is the main ability on a BU conk, as it allows status not to stop Conk's rampage and actually aids it, so stuff like Paralysis and Burn come to bite back your opponent. Alex's set seems the best subpunch set, and I've always found success with Conk the most on weather less teams for some reason, but on occasion on rain teams as well. Conkelldur is another underrated threat that should be prepared for, as letting it get a sub up can be deadly and can end up on you losing at least one poke.
