Zygarde @ Steelium Z
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 180 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Thousand Arrows
- Iron Tail
- Dragon Dance
- Protect
Zygarde is one of Doubles OU's biggest threats, as its access to Thousand Arrows in tandem with Dragon Dance allows it to universally exert pressure if not sweep opposing teams. Most standard DD Zygarde sets run either Substitute or Extreme Speed as a second move, but their reliance on Thousand Arrows to do damage leaves them walled by Tapu Bulu. However, with Corkscrew Crash, this is no longer a problem, as Zygarde becomes capable of sending Tapu Bulu packing in surprise; even more, it also comes in handy when facing Kyurem-B, regular Diancie, and Tapu Lele, threats that would ordinarily take even a +1 Thousand Arrows only to be OHKOed out of nowhere. Aside from this tech though, this Zygarde set is no different to standard ones when it comes to preferred teammates and playstyles; take note, however, that running this set also comes at the cost of a Z-Move that may be better used elsewhere, with raw Iron Tail being too inaccurate to be viable alone, and Zygarde also loses out on the recovery it gets would it be holding a Berry instead.
