Terrakion @ Focus Sash
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Rock Slide
- Quick Guard
- Protect

thundurus.gif

Thundurus @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Def / 52 SAtk / 80 SDef / 20 Spd
Calm Nature
IVs: 2 Atk / 30 Def
- Thunder Wave
- Taunt
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Terrakion blocks Fake Out and Thundy prevents Subs, plus Terrakion kills them both easily. Jolly Terrakion because after Mega, Jolly Kanga outspeeds Adamant Terrakion all day long, and Sash makes sure I live just in case KyuB decides to sneakliy Earth Power me instead of Subbing up (which he might do or aim Ice Beam at Thundy cuz Taunt Predicted). speaking of Thundy, I now present what will become the Gen 6 Standard for Bulky Thundy. This split survives Kanga Return, Adamant Lando-T's Stone Edge, KyuB Ice Beam (and Latios LO DM), outspeeds Base 70's outside of Prankster (I feel this is still an important benchmark in the current metagame), and the rest of the EVs are dumped into Power, but could easily go into bulk as well. With this spread, we are ensured survival against a vast majority of the current threats in this metagame.

If you can think of more optimization, please let me know.

Jellicent @ Sitrus Berry
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 76 SpA / 68 SpD
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
Sassy Nature
- Water Spout
- Will-O-Wisp
- Trick Room
- Recover

534.png

Conkeldurr @ Life Orb
Trait: Iron Fist
EVs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 128 Def / 96 SpD
IVs: 0 Spe
Brave Nature
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Mach Punch
- Detect

Summary
So the basic idea with this is that Kangaskhan is hardwalled by Jellicent, and Kyurem-Black can't do much to it either (w/ the given set ofc; you should note not to mindlessly keep Jellicent in unless you know that Kyu-B isn't running Fusion Bolt). Additionally, the classic LO Conkeldurr can OHKO the given Kyurem-B set 15/16 times and Mega Kangaskhan all the time (even w/ 252 HP). It should be noted an entire team w/ these two should be Semi-TR w/ a fast mode, as full TR is not nearly as consistent as Semi-TR would be.

Moveset Details
Since Jellicent has Recover, Water Spout gives it a solid spread move so it has solid offensive presense. Scald is also an option given that Water Spout still doesn't hit all that hard and can be weakened through damage. Will-O-Wisp is obviously useful in that it completely cripples Kangaskhan that lack Facade (lol). Trick Room is a given, and Recover keeps Jellicent standing as long as possible.

Conkeldurr is completely standard. The only thing worth noting is Hammer Arm, which is far stronger than Drain Punch at the cost of longevity (and a 10% miss rate). And I guess Knock Off, but really that only helps vs Aegislash (Chandelure too but Jellicent has that covered). Still, Aegislash may be troublesome enough to make Knock Off worthwhile.

EV Spread Details
Jellicent can tank a Tyranitar Crunch and Specs Rotom-W/LO Thundy-T Thunderbolt w/ the given spread, and remaining EVs are packed into SpA.

Conkeldurr hits a LO number, always survives an unboosted Tornadus Acrobatics (which in my eyes is more common than Metagross Zen Headbutt which is what I used to EV it to live), has maximized Attack for obvious reasons, and remaining EVs go into SpD.

Final Comments
Nollan has swag. Also Laga sux.

O and btw, p sure BLOOD TOTEM wins these things simply because he has a killer catch phrase.

Terrakion @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified

Weavile Focus sash
Ability: Pickpocket
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Beat Up
- Low Kick
- Ice Punch

LO Terrakion OHKOs and outspeeds both Mega Kang and Kyurem-B. The thing stopping it is Mega Kang's Fake Out. So pair Terrakion with a faster Fake Out user like Weavile - Fake Out Mega Kang first turn, Close Combat Kyurem-B. Even if Kyurem-B protects, Terrakion can Close Combat Mega Kang on turn 2 who cannot protect itself whilst Weavile 2HKOes with Kyurem-B. This core hard-counters Blood Totem's core by fighting offense with offense.

Outside of beating Totem's core, despite sharing some of the same weaknesses, they exert intense offensive pressure. Weavile can Fake Out as Terrakion smashes shit or sets up a Sub (useful if you predict double Protect or are unsure with prediction). Ice-type and Fighting-type coverage work well together giving great coverage, same for Dark-type and Fighting-type. Beat Up does good damage if used when you have teammates due to STAB + high attack so it can function as Dark-STAB, and it has the option of being used on Terrakion for multiple Justified boosts. Whilst this may sound gimmicky, Weavile does much more than just Beat up on Terrakion, and it was used during a SPL match.

If we have an editing phase, we can consider Quick Guard over Sub Terrakion. I decided against this as Weavile wouldn't be able to capitalise on the Quick Guard to adequately threaten Scizor and Conkeldurr. I rather use Fake Out on them and get a Sub so Terrakion can severely damage them with Close Combat the next turn or, the better option, choose allies to beat said threats more reliably. Sub also forms as some protection against status given that both Weavile and Terrakion hate burn.

We can also consider Knock Off over Beat Up, as Totem would try very hard to stop this core getting a Beat Up Justified combo up.

You have until Wednesday to vote.

Don't vote for yourself.

Please keep in mind that this will determine who plays against BLOOD TOTEM

I vote for Nollan's core here.

I like my core immensely, but no self-voting, and Totem would love to see a TerraVille combo cuz he can easily counter it with his next picks.

nollan's core is the reason i didnt even bother submitting one. Thundurus is literally the worst versus totem's core, and weavile is only a bit better

nollan's core easily. let's have this be a solid semi-tr team so it wont be countered by the other team.

I'd personally use assvest on conk so it can wall kyurem-b, but i mean if you want dat powah =]

I vote Blank Zero's core.

It's capable of disrupting multiple leads including Fake Out with Terrakion's Quick Guard, while crippling the opponent with T-Wave from Thundurus for speed control or Taunt to disrupt a various number of possible setups.

...so I can't vote for myself, and the other cores aren't Trick Roomy enuff, so I'm not quite sure what to do =/

Darkmalice's core I guess, because it has less votes than Blank Zero no one can resist how fun obliterating Pocket with this combo is (pulled it off very cleanly once but never saved the replay; I am ashamed)

Nollan's core

I'm voting for him because he's the only person who voted for my core

I feel the core pairs better against Blood Totem's core. Jellicent is excellent against Mega Kang and Kyurem-B no matter what they do, and Conk is good too, brilliant under TR. BlankZero's core is more prediction reliant - Terrakion does well anyways, but Thundurus-I doesn't fair well against either Pokemon. It gets outmuscled by both Pokemon, and Thunder Waving them is not the best answer to them, and Taunting Kyurem-B to stop Sub risks an Ice Beam to the face.
