UU Crawdaunt [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

[OVERVIEW]

Sporting a high Attack stat, Adaptability, and high-Base Power moves, Crawdaunt is an extremely powerful wallbreaker in UU capable of weakening or KOing even the bulkiest walls. Access to a strong priority move in Aqua Jet also allows it to bypass its low Speed and pick off targets such as Terrakion, Victini, and Alakazam. It can punch holes in most opposing teams using special moves to hit its usual switch-ins or a running Swords Dance set to boost its Attack even more, allowing it to take out even Skarmory and physically defensive Tangrowth after a boost. However, Crawdaunt is extremely slow, being outsped and KOed by common threats such as Salamence, Keldeo, Tapu Bulu, and Latias. It also suffers from poor bulk and weaknesses to common typings, limiting its opportunities to switch in and set up. Finally, Crawdaunt suffers competition with Azumarill, which has an easier time setting up due to its superior defensive typing, although Crawdaunt's STAB Knock Off and ability to use mixed sets are relevant advantages.

[SET COMMENTS]

Crabhammer and Knock Off are extremely powerful STAB moves, hitting nearly everything for heavy damage. Aqua Jet is used to hit faster threats like Lycanroc-D, Victini, and Krookodile while picking off weakened Pokemon in general. Ice Beam is Crawdaunt's best option against Kommo-o while also dealing with Salamence and Tangrowth. Sludge Wave is able to OHKO Tapu Bulu as well as take down Tangrowth after a Knock Off. Close Combat is also an option for a strong neutral hit on Keldeo and Kommo-o and a super effective hit on Zarude. Crunch is another option for the fourth moveslot, since it's stronger against Grassy Seed users such as Latias and Galarian Slowbro. Life Orb is the preferred item, boosting all of Crawdaunt's moves and allowing it to switch between them. Choice Band is also an option if you're not using a special move that gives it a good chance to OHKO Terrakion, Alakazam, and Mamoswine with Aqua Jet. A Naughty nature is used to maximize Crawdaunt's physical power without weakening its special moves. Adamant should be used if special moves aren't used. A Speed-boosting nature, such as Naive or Jolly, can also be used to outspeed Jolly Azumarill and Modest Primarina, but the extra power is almost always better.

Crawdaunt fits on offensive teams that need a powerful wallbreaker to punch holes in the opposing team. Late-game sweepers and cleaners such as Terrakion and Haxorus appreciate Crawdaunt's wallbreaking power. Since Crawdaunt struggles to find opportunities to switch in, pivots such as Scizor, Zeraora, and Slowking are appreciated. Zeraora also benefits from Kommo-o and Grass-types being weakened, while Scizor can take advantage of Grass- and Fairy-types that can check Crawdaunt. Slowking can also provide Future Sight support, helping Crawdaunt pressure Kommo-o and Tangrowth. Latias is also a good partner, handling the likes of Keldeo and Rotom-W while Crawdaunt can pick off Mamoswine and Alakazam with Aqua Jet. Checks to Tapu Bulu, such as Amoonguss and Salamence, are also appreciated. . Offensive entry hazards setters, such as Rhyperior, Krookodile, and Skarmory, are also good partners to weaken Crawdaunt's checks; Jirachi can also set up Stealth Rock while healing Crawdaunt with Healing Wish after it's been weakened.

[SET COMMENTS]

This set is intended to be used as an early- or mid-game wallbreaker, with Swords Dance allowing Crawdaunt to break through defensive cores with more ease. Aqua Jet allows Crawdaunt to hit frailer faster foes and potentially clean a weakened team, OHKOing Zeraora and Thundurus at +2. Life Orb is used to boost Crawdaunt's power and is preferred despite the recoil. Mystic Water can be used to avoid recoil, but the drop in power, especially in Knock Off, is noticeable. A Jolly nature can used to outspeed Modest Primarina, but it's generally not preferred, since it makes Crawdaunt much weaker.

Crawdaunt should try to set up against slower foes that it forces out such as Chansey, Slowking, and Galarian Slowbro. Pivots such as Zeraora, Scizor, and Victini can help Crawdaunt switch in. Victini is notable for luring in and pivoting out of Slowking. Crawdaunt struggles against faster threats that can take a boosted Aqua Jet, such as Tapu Bulu, Keldeo, Latias, and Kommo-o, so checks to these are good partners. Amoonguss, for example, can switch into Keldeo and Tapu Bulu, while Fairy-types like Primarina can check Latias and Kommo-o. Pokemon that can spread paralysis such as Jirachi and Thunder Wave Cobalion can help Crawdaunt bypass its low Speed. Sticky Web support from Ribombee is also useful for the same reason. This set also appreciates entry hazard support from the likes of Rhyperior and Kommo-o. Other physical attackers, like Terrakion and Tapu Bulu, enjoy Tangrowth and Skarmory being weakened or removed.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Liquidation can be used over Crabhammer on the Swords Dance set due to its better accuracy, but it's much weaker, failing to 2HKO foes like maximum HP Primarina.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Threats**: Due to its low Speed, Crawdaunt is forced out by anything faster that can take an Aqua Jet, including Keldeo, Kyurem, and Latias.

**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Tangrowth can usually switch into Crawdaunt, although it can be taken out by a +2 Knock Off. Tapu Bulu resists Crawdaunt's STAB combination and only fears Sludge Wave, while Kommo-o can take any move but fears Ice Beam and can be worn down.

**Residual Damage**: Since Crawdaunt is frail and slow, damage from entry hazards, status such as poison and burn, Rocky Helmet, and Life Orb recoil can cut into its longevity even more.

[OVERVIEW]

  • High Attack stat, high BP moves and Adaptability make it an extremely powerful wallbreaker in the UU metagame., hitting even resists for considerable damage.
  • Aqua Jet allows it to bypass its poor Speed and pick off the likes of Terrakion, Alakazam, Mamoswine, Victini, Chandelure
  • Swords Dance makes it even more powerful, allowing it to destroy even the likes of Tangrowth and Skarmory after a boost.
  • Low Speed means its outsped by most of the offensive threats in the metagame.
  • Very poor bulk and weaknesses to common types makes it hard for Crawdaunt to switch in and/or setup
  • largely outclassed by azumarill as a physical water-type breaker which is why it's not seen that often, can tie this in to the point abt bad bulk/typing if you want. differentiates itself with sd + ability to go mixed
  • Struggles agaisnt common Pokémon such as Tapu Bulu and Kommo-o.

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1
  • Crabhammer is an extremely powerful STAB, destroying everything but bulky resists Its high critical ratio can also be useful. not rly needed info
  • Knock Off hits Grass, Water and Dragon types that resist Crabhammer, and removes itens such as Heavy Duty Boots from Salamence and Rocky Helmet from Tangrowth.
  • Aqua Jet is used to hit faster threats like Terrakion, Chandelure, Mamoswine and can pick off weakened Pokémon in general.
  • Close Combat is the best option against some Pokémon that resist both STABs, such as Zarude and Keldeo. If using Life Orb, Sludge Wave is an option to OHKO Tapu Bulu and do good damage to Rocky Helmet Tangrowth. Crunch can also be useful in the 4th slot to still have a powerful Dark STAB after Knocking Off itens.
  • this point will prob need to be redone to reflect that ice beam is typically more optimal atm for kommo, zarude/keldeo are already slammed by it after rocks and nothing else rlly takes its attacks on. helps w/ mence and rh tang too. after that sludge wave is good if you rlly need the KO on bulu, and then CC is fine as filler if neither is really required but it's generally suboptimal.
  • give crunch a mention too since it helps w/ grassy seed users
  • Choice Band gives Crawdaunt more power at the cost of not being able to switch moves. With it Crawdaunt has a good chance to OHKO Terrakion, Alakazam and Mamoswine with Aqua Jet and Volcanion with Knock Off.
  • Life Orb can be used to allow Crawdaunt to switch moves while still being very powerful. flip this and the CB part around
  • Adamant should be used for maximum power. If using Ice Beam or Sludge Wave, a Naughty nature is preferred. otherwise adamant can be used (or w/e) A Speed boosting nature allows Crawdaunt to outspeed Jolly Azumarill and Modest Primarina, but the extra power is almost always better.

Paragraph 2
  • Crawdaunt fits on offensive teams that need a powerful wallbreaker to punch holes in the opposing team.
  • Crawdaunt struggles to find switch in opportunities, so pivots such as Scizor, Zeraora and Galarian Slowbro are appreciated. the way you've worded this kinda implies that galarian slowbro brings it in safely? it doesn't learn teleport if that's what you're going for. you can include slowking here though, future sight helps with rocky helmet tang switchins + kommo-o etc. Zeraora also benefits from Kommo-O and Grass-types being weakened, while Scizor and Galarian Slowbro can take advantage of Grass-types and Fairy-types.
  • Entry hazard support is very useful to weaken the opposing team. Offensive setters such as Cobalion, Diggersby and Mamoswine these guys are rly not great setters unfortunately. offensive rocker mentions would include rhyperior, krookodile, and kommo-o, while spikers would p much just be skarm and mew pair well with Crawdaunt.
  • Since Crawdaunt can easily weaken the opposing team, late game cleaners and set up sweepers pair well with it. These include Zeraora, Terrakion and Haxorus.

Paragraph 1
  • Swords Dance boosts Crawdaunt's Attack even more, allowing it to break through nearly everything. After a boost, it can OHKO even the bulkiest walls, such as Tangrowth after SR damage, Skarmory and Galarian Weezing.
  • Crabhammer and Knock Off are extremely powerful and hit most of the metagame for at least neutral damage.
  • Aqua Jet hits faster targets, and can even be used to clean a weakened team. At +2 it OHKOs Zeraora, Thundurus, and picks off many other fast threats.
  • Despite the recoil, Life Orb is the preferred item to due to the power it provides. Mystic Water is an option if you want to avoid recoil, but the drop in power, especially in Knock Off, is huge.
  • Adamant nature is needed for the previously mentioned KOs.

Paragraph 2
  • Crawdaunt should try to set up against slower foes that it forces out, such as Chansey, Slowking and Galarian Slowbro. It can also set up on Choiced foes locked into weaker resisted moves, like Scizor locked in Bullet Punch or Azumarill locked into Aqua Jet. it definitely doesn't tank moves well from these two, i'd just leave it at the forced switches thing since craw's so frail that just about anything will fuck it up
  • Physical attackers, such as Terrakion, Zeraora and Tapu Bulu appreciate the likes of Tangrowth and Skarmory being weakened and possibly removed.
  • Pokémon that can spread paralysis, such as Jirachi and Thunder Wave Cobalion can help Crawdaunt bypass its low Speed.
  • This set has no coverage for Tapu Bulu, so teammates that can check it, like Amoonguss and Salamence, are appreciated. bulu just kinda falls over at +2 tbh so that's not the issue, it's just that bulu can revenge kill it with ease. you should tie this in with other, faster pokemon that can take a +2 aqua jet bc they're the main issue for sd craw. primarina, kommo, latias and keldeo come to mind, so list some checks to those and how those checks can help craw
  • As always, pivots like Zeraora, Zarude and Scizor are appreciated to help Crawdaunt come in safely. give a mention to victini specifically which pivots craw in on slowking pretty consistently since that's one of its best targets to sd on

  • Crawdaunt's movepool isn't very big, and there aren't many options it can use. Liquidation can be used over Crabhammer due to its accuracy, but its much weaker and generally not worth it. • Aqua Jet allows it to bypass its poor Speed and pick off the likes of Terrakion, Alakazam, Mamoswine, Victini, Chandelure I'm gonna have you cut these examples just to make it less wordy.
  • Swords Dance makes it even more powerful, allowing it to destroy even the likes of Tangrowth and Skarmory after a boost. I would maybe try finding a way to mention both its sets with this bullet point in order to flesh out its niche as best as possible. Consider bringing up that its all-out attacking set is good for punching holes in opposing teams, and then fit your bit on Swords Dance you have written here into the line.
  • Low Speed means its outsped by most of the offensive threats in the metagame. consider listing some examples of Pokemon that can outrun and pressure it, preferably mostly aqua jet resists
  • Very poor bulk and weaknesses to common types makes it hard for Crawdaunt to switch in and/or setup
  • Outclassed as a Water-type wallbreaker by Azumarill, since Azumarill has better opportunities to set up, althought Crawdaunt has the advantage of being able to go mixed. I don't think outclassed is the right word here. I think saying that it suffers competition from Azu or something along those lines fits better. I'd bring up its STAB Knock Off as another advantage it has over Azumarill, preferably before mentioning that it can go mixed.
  • Struggles agaisnt common Pokémon such as Tapu Bulu and Kommo-o.

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1
  • Crabhammer is an extremely powerful STAB, destroying everything but bulky resists.
  • Knock Off hits Grass, Water and Dragon types that resist Crabhammer, and removes itens such as Heavy Duty Boots from Salamence and Rocky Helmet from Tangrowth. Generally it's preferred that descriptions on STAB moves are left out due to offering rather straightforward information unless they're more specific (like Aqua Jet), so I'd cut these.
  • Aqua Jet is used to hit faster threats like Terrakion, Chandelure, Mamoswine and can pick off weakened Pokémon in general.
  • Ice Beam is Crawdaunt's best option agaisnt Kommo-O, while also dealing with Salamence and Physical Def. I'd cut this bit Tangrowth. Sludge Wave is an option to OHKO Tapu Bulu I'd add here that it can still pressure Tangrowth. Close Combat can be used in this slot if the coverage from special moves isn't needed. I'd bring up some Close Combat targets here. Say that it's a good mid-ground option for neutral coverage on Kommo-o and Keldeo that can also hit niche checks like Zarude super effectively.
  • Crunch can be used for a secondary Dark STAB that is especially useful versus Grassy Seed users such as Latias bring up GalarBro here too.
  • Life Orb is used to allow Crawdaunt to switch moves while still being very powerful.
  • If not using Ice Beam or Sludge Wave, Choice Band can be used for more power at the cost of not being able to switch moves . With it Crawdaunt has a good chance to OHKO Terrakion, Alakazam and Mamoswine with Aqua Jet and Volcanion with Knock Off I'd just mention the Aqua Jet calcs both bc this one isn't as relevant and for general writing flow.
  • Naughty nature is used to maximize power instead of saying 'maximize power,' I'd be a bit more specific and say that it prevents its special moves from losing power. If a special move isnt used, Adamant is better. A Speed boosting nature allows Crawdaunt to outspeed Jolly Azumarill and Modest Primarina, but the extra power is almost always better.

Paragraph 2
  • Crawdaunt fits on offensive teams that need a powerful wallbreaker to punch holes in the opposing team.
  • Crawdaunt struggles to find switch in opportunities, so pivots such as Scizor, Zeraora add Slowking here since you use it as an example in the same line are appreciated. Zeraora also benefits from Kommo-O and Grass-types being weakened, while Scizor can take advantage of Grass-types and Fairy-types. Slowking can also provide Future Sight support, helping pressure Kommo-O and Tangrowth.
  • Entry hazard support is very useful to weaken the opposing team. Offensive setters such as Rhyperior, Krookodile and Kommo-O pair well with Crawdaunt. For Spikes users, Mew and Skarmory are good options. Add some Toxic Spikes setters here and say they can be useful for further pressuring defensive checks like Suicune or Tangrowth
  • Since Crawdaunt can easily weaken the opposing team, late game cleaners and set up sweepers pair well with it. These include Zeraora I'd find an example other than Zera since you use it earlier, Terrakion and Haxorus.
- Consider adding some examples of Pokemon that can help check Tapu Bulu, which can take advantage of Crawdaunt either if it switches in on its STAB moves or after another teammate has been KOed.
- Bring up Latias in this section - thanks to its typing it can handle some of Crawdaunt's more reliable revenge killers, like Keldeo and Rotom-W, while Crawdaunt can pick off Pokemon like Alakazam and Mamoswine for Latias with Aqua Jet.

Paragraph 1
  • Swords Dance boosts Crawdaunt's Attack even more, allowing it to break through nearly everything. After a boost, it can OHKO even the bulkiest walls, such as Tangrowth after SR damage, Skarmory and Galarian Weezing. Instead of saying what specifically SD does (since we know it boosts attack), I'd gear this sentence more to how this set functions, specifying that it aims to break past defensive cores more easily.
  • Crabhammer and Knock Off are extremely powerful and hit most of the metagame for at least neutral damage. Cut this
  • Aqua Jet hits faster targets, and can even be used to clean a weakened team. At +2 it OHKOs Zeraora, Thundurus, and picks off many other fast threats I'd find another example instead of saying this.
  • Despite the recoil, Life Orb is the preferred item to due to the power it provides. Mystic Water is an option if you want to avoid recoil, but the drop in power, especially in Knock Off, is huge.

  • As always, pivots like Zeraora, Zarude and Scizor are appreciated to help Crawdaunt come in safely. Victini is a notable pivot for being able to bring Crawdaunt into Slowking. add a line here on entry hazard support

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
  • Crawdaunt's movepool isn't very big, and there aren't many options it can use. Liquidation can be used over Crabhammer due to its accuracy, but its much weaker and generally not worth it. Crawdaunt also has Dragon Dance, but even after a boost its still slower than Terrakion, Keldeo, Thundurus, so it almost never sweeps I'd find different examples than Terrakion and Thundurus, who can take pretty major damage from a +1 Aqua Jet.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Threats**: Due to its low Speed, Crawdaunt is forced out by anything faster that can take an Aqua Jet. These include Cobalion not particularly relevant rn, Keldeo, Kyurem, Latias, Haxorus also a little less relevant than your listed examples among others.

**Physically defensive Pokémon**: Tangrowth can usually switch into Crawdaunt, although it can be taken out by a +2 Knock Off. Tapu Bulu resists its STABs combination and only fears Slugde Wave, while Kommo-O can take any move, although it has no recovery say that it fears Ice Beam here instead since it having no recovery and being worn down are tied together already and can be worn down.

Include a section on residual damage here, as Crawdaunt's frailty, low Speed, and reliance on Life Orb can already harm its longevity so it is fairly disadvantaged by entry hazards and status moves.

Crabhammer and Knock Off are extremely powerful STABs, hitting nearly everything for heavy damage. Aqua Jet is used to hit faster threats like Terrakion, Victini, and Alakazam, Can you get some diff examples than the same 3 from the Overview. At least change one of them out for like Lycanroc-D or Diggersby etc. while picking off weakened Pokémon in general. Ice Beam is the best option against Kommo-o, while also dealing with Salamence and Tangrowth. Sludge Wave is able to OHKO Tapu Bulu, while also dealing with Tangrowth. I would make a comment about how a Knock Off into Ice Beam/Sludge Wave can KO Phys Def Tangrowth rather than being vague and saying it deals with it Close Combat is also an option for a strong neutral hit on Keldeo and Kommo-o, while hitting Zarude super (space) effectively. Crunch is another option for the 4th slot, since it's stronger agaisnt against Grassy Seed users such as Latias and Galarian Slowbro. Life Orb is the preferred item, boosting all of Crawdaunt's moves while allowing to switch moves. Choice Band is also an option if not using a special move. With it, Crawdaunt has a good chance to OHKO Terrakion, Alakazam, and Mamoswine with Aqua Jet. A Naughty nature is used to maximize Crawdaunt's physical power while not weakening its special moves. Zeraora also benefits from Kommo-o and Grass-types being weakened, while Scizor can take advantage of Grass-types and Fairy-types that can check Crawdaunt. Slowking can also provide Future Sight support, helping pressure Kommo-o and Tangrowth. Have this follow straight after the pivot point. You add like three other points in-between this. Crawdaunt appreaciates appreciates entry hazards support to help weaken its checks. Offensive setters, such as Rhyperior, Krookodile, Kommo-o are good partners. Mew and Skarmory can be used to set Spikes, and Nidoqueen and Nihilego for Toxic Spikes. You don't need to list partners for every hazard. Just replace one of the SR mentions with one of these other mons.

I'd add a mention of Jirachi. You can either tie it in with the pivots or hazards line, but I'd comment on how it can provide Healing Wish support for Daunt while doing these things.

Liquidation can be used on Swords Dance sets over Crabhammer due to its better accuracy, but it's much weaker and generally not worth it. [OVERVIEW]

Sporting a high Attack stat, Adaptability, and high Base Power moves, Crawdaunt is an extremely powerful wallbreaker in UU, capable of weakening or knocking out KOing even the bulkiest walls. Crawdaunt also has access to a strong Aqua Jet, allowing it to bypass its low Speed and pick off targets such as Terrakion, Victini, and Alakazam. It can punch holes into most opposing teams, using special moves to hit its usual switch-ins, or use using a Swords Dance set to boost its Attack even more, being able allowing it to take out even Skarmory and physically defensive Tangrowth (remove extra space) after a boost. However, Crawdaunt is extremely slow, being outsped and defeated KOed by common threats such as Salamence, Keldeo, Tapu Bulu, and Latias. It also suffers from poor bulk and weakenesses to common typings, limiting its switch-in and setup opportunities. Crawdaunt suffers competition from Azumarill, which has an easier time setting up due to its superior defensive typing, although Crawdaunt's STAB Knock Off and ability to go mixed are relevant advantages.

[SET COMMENTS]

Crabhammer and Knock Off are extremely powerful STABs, hitting nearly everything for heavy damage. Aqua Jet is used to hit faster threats like Lycanroc-D, Victini, and Krookodile, while picking off weakened Pokémon Pokemon in general. Ice Beam is the Crawdaunt's best option against Kommo-o, while also dealing with Salamence and Tangrowth. Sludge Wave is able to OHKO Tapu Bulu,(RC) while also taking down Tangrowth after a Knock Off. Close Combat is also an option for a strong neutral hit on Keldeo and Kommo-o, while hitting that also hits Zarude supereffectively. Crunch is another option for the 4th slot, since its stronger against Grassy Seed users such as Latias and Galarian Slowbro. Life Orb is the preferred item, boosting all of Crawdaunt's moves while allowing to switch moves and allowing it to switch between them. Choice Band is also an option if not using a special move. With it, Crawdaunt has a good chance to OHKO Terrakion, Alakazam, and Mamoswine with Aqua Jet. A Naughty nature is used to maximize Crawdaunt's physical power while not weakening its special moves. Adamant should be used if special moves aren't used. A Speed boosting nature, such as Naive or Jolly, can also be used to outspeed Jolly Azumarill and Modest Primarina, but the extra power is almost always better.

Crawdaunt fits on offensive teams that need a powerful wallbreaker to punch holes in the opposing team. Late-game sweepers and cleaners such as Terrakion and Haxorus appreciate Crawdaunt's wallbreaking power. Since Crawdaunt struggles to find opportunities to switch-in, pivots such as Scizor, Zeraora, and Slowking are appreciated. Zeraora also benefits from Kommo-o and Grass-types being weakened, while Scizor can take advantage of Grass-types and Fairy-types that can check Crawdaunt. Slowking can also provide Future Sight support, helping Crawdaunt to pressure Kommo-o and Tangrowth. Latias is also a good partner, handling the likes of Keldeo and Rotom-W while Crawdaunt can pick off Mamowswine and Alakazam with Aqua Jet. Checks to Tapu Bulu, such as Amoonguss and Salamence, are also appreciated. Crawdaunt appreciates entry hazards support to help weaken its checks. Offensive hazard setters, such as Rhyperior, Krookodile, and Skarmory are good partners. Jirachi can also set up Stealth Rock while supporting Crawdaunt with Healing Wish after it's been weakened. (there's ambiguity here. newer players may not understand when to use HW. Is it after rachi or craw has been weakened?)

[SET COMMENTS]

This set is intended to be used as an early and mid game early- to mid-game wallbreaker, with Swords Dance allowing Crawdaunt to break through defensive cores with more ease. Aqua Jet allows Crawdaunt to hit weaker frailer faster opponents, being even possible to clean a weakened team with it. At +2, it Aqua Jet OHKOes Zeraora and Thundurus. Life Orb is used for maximum power You might want to elaborate a bit more here, since "maximum power" is a bit vague. , and is preferred despite the recoil. (remove extra space) Mystic Water can be used to avoid recoil, but the drop in power, especially in Knock Off, is noticeable. A Jolly nature can used to outspeed Modest Primarina, but generally not preferred since it's it makes Crawdaunt much weaker.

Crawdaunt should try to set up against slower foes that it forces out, such as Chansey, Slowking, and Galarian Slowbro. Pivots such as Zeraora, Scizor, and Victini can help Crawdaunt switch-in to switch in. Pokémon Pokemon that can spread paralysis, such as Jirachi and Thunder Wave Cobalion can help Crawdaunt bypass its low Speed. Sticky Web support from Ribombee is also useful for the same reason. This set also appreciates entry hazards support from the likes of Rhyperior and Kommo-o. Other physical attackers, like Terrakion and Tapu Bulu, enjoy Tangrowth and Skarmory being weakened or removed.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options

Liquidation can be used over Crabhammer on the Swords Dance set due to its better accuracy, but it's (add apostrophe) much weaker, failing to 2HKO max HP Primarina for example.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Threats**: Due to its low Speed, Crawdaunt is forced out by anything faster that can take an Aqua Jet. These include, Keldeo, Kyurem, Latias, among others.

**Physically defensive Pokémon Pokemon**: Tangrowth can usually switch into Crawdaunt, although it can be taken out by a +2 Knock Off. Tapu Bulu resists its STABs combination and only fears Sludge Wave, while Kommo-o can take any move, although it but fears Ice Beam and can be worn down.

**Residual damage**: Since Crawdaunt is frail and slow, damage from entry hazards, status such as poison and burn, Rocky Helmet, and Life Orb recoil can cut into its longevity even more.
