Bad reads post but at least you posted finally

This is horrible.

I wouldn't normally respond to this but a lot of what I've seen this game is "x is trash" or "this is bad" with no explanation, and it's also thrown out fairly randomly. What the fuck is up with this? Can we EXPLAIN why we are doing things instead of just saying something is bad and moving onto the next post? That seems to be a big issue.

I'm not talking about you in particular, even though I disagree and I think my reasoning that his post was scummy is fine. Just about the game.

also ag I like how you read the people who haven't posted at all but didn't read two people who just posted a read post or posted a lot... lol

It's mostly just random fosing and thoughts that aren't notable enough to expand on from me, if I start thinking you're serious scum I'll analyze (ie my posts on ag)

Why? pancake just offered valuable discussion other than just an argument that's basically boiled down to his read. Granted, he hasn't VOTED yet...

Oh, speaking of votes, I checked, and lost a post while ordering my thoughts (I'm tired, so sue me) and looks like I forgot to UNVOTE

Anyway, my views on the reads:

Mithril: I can't see anything against him, so I'll take what he said (which my skimming said is against a Merlin claim, and a dig at Josh defending Hitmonleet while distancing himself) as reliable

Gronk: posts seem thought-out

Texas: Given his arguments against Josh, I feel I'm not one to comment. Can I recuse myself?

Haruno: Hmm, I'd say more like neutral lean town than slight town. I like his posts as townie.

Knights: strikes me as a more scummy move than townie.

Asek: I'd rate that as more scummy than neutral

acid: I'd give him a pass, IRL stuff exists and that coulda been it.

Hitmonleet: very interesting. scummy for that then

Moody: I very much agree.

Me/Josh: Actually, I think both town and he just got it wrong.

_______

not rated: twin, pancake
I'd bet if aura is scum one of Knights and Asek is scum based on this post.

Math says, given one scum, 2/12 players not the one perceiving are scum
so, given two random players...
5/6 not scum * 9/11 not scum = 10/22 = 5/11 = 30/66 chance neither scum.
Only 1/66 of both scum.
So, you're post is mathematically supported - 35/66. Or only 34/66 if ONLY one.

I'd like thoughts on these reads from everyone particularly Asek Blank Slate2356 acidphoenix Hitmonleet

After looking back over all the info, and trying to analyze my information, here's what I'm thinking currently, by order on the list (I did a lot of researching, so let's hope that I'm getting my terms right.)

Asek: I haven't really been able to get any thoughts in particular, considering they haven't posted very much.

Knights: He kinda faded away after things really took off, but their actions seem towny, trying to get some discussion and all.

Twin: I sincerely don't know what to think about twin. He's trying to be helpful, I think, so I'm leaning town (As in, I'm undecided, but they seem more Town than Mafia).

Pancake: They posted this whole post on their "reads", and explained why they thought these things, so they seem pretty townish to me.

Texas: I'm having a hard time reading you, Texas, but I think that part of it is that I don't know how you play mafia. They seem to be pretty aggressive, but their logic is pretty sound, and they strike me as Towny, personally.

Gronkasaurus: They seem kind of towny, with thoughts that make sense. That's about all I've got.

Acidphoenix: I sincerely don't know about them. What are your thoughts, acidphoenix ?

Haruno: The thoughts behind their suggestions seem towny, but the ideas behind them, not so much. Still, I have a towny gut feeling.

Josh: Either he's certainly town, or he is scum with Aura Guardian, and putting up a VERY good show. Logical, helpful, and informative posts in abundance.

Aura Guardian: They just kind of rub me the wrong way. I don't know if it is the fact that they jumped straight on my bandwagon, the content of their posts, or what, but I'm feeling scum on this one.

Mithril: I'm sitting neutrally on this one. They are making posts and discussion, but I'm still bothered by that first post being a pseudo pot-shot at me just bothers me. Still, they could be town.

Blank Slate: They suddenly show up and vote me, talk about needing a phone battery, and that is it. They're also new, so it can easily be explained, but they haven't posted anything substantial enough for me to look over and analyze.

Moody: Pretty much the same as Blank, I can't tell what to think of them yet.

Ah, sorry, our antagonism and the current time has left me a bit snippy.

What I meant is, I was just looking at someone else's reads and commenting on them, and my style doesn't permit anything - allies in my PM, inspections, scumbuddies, whatever - into account.

I mean that there are two situations
1) I'm not mafia, and thus your attempt to guess scum based on that being false is an exercise in futility
2) Regardless of the above (though more for scum since this is day one), I don't allow ANY knowledge I have other than actual posts into my reads, so as not to hint at my role or the like. With years of roleplaying in the #flamel crowd, I've gotten reasonable at separation of knowledge.

If you flip town it's irrelevant why even discuss it

Unless you're trying to insinuate you're merlin (scum lol) the only knowledge you'd have is at most one other players role. Again, this is irrelevant discussion. It does not even argue with what I'd said.

I haven't had the time or energy to look deep into the thread, only to catch up fast, but right now Knights,Josh and asek are my biggest question marks. Knights and Asek especially as I would have expected to see them being more active in the scumhunting process, I'll see where this goes.

I would like to ask the disguise artist and watcher to target me tonight, if I am scum trying to bait the disguis artist the watcher will be able to testify of it the next day. Both the watcher and I would learn the disguise maker's identity in the process, "guarantee" him a target and have him learn my role which seems like an ok way to start doing some PoE.

1) For completion, and it costs so little time

2) I don't get how you think it doesn't argue with what you said.

I compartmentalize what I know well enough that in case 2, there's no point in trying to figure it out. Hell, I'd be rolling literal dice
These dice

To sway my reads (and stick to it, of course). Like, seriously, I'm out of practice with MAFIA, but I know how to divide my knowledge and not act on things.

No comment re: am I insinuating my role.

But what you were quoting was my 'scum' hypothetical. In which I'd be rolling dice to twist my reads so there's no point in discussing that, either.

My point is, you hared off on "AG scum -> one of these two scum" I'm trying to minimize the wasted time today, or in some event in which I survive this day, minimize false reasoning.

Literally what the fuck is this

My thought is food poisoning sucks. I managed to keep down warm sprite and toast, so I thought I'd try to catch up before I got too far behind.

My only read before my stomach revolted was a scum lean on Haruno. Even after he tried to talk it up to me, I couldn't see how the Merlin sacrifice plan would benefit Town more than scum.

pancake I'd be taking notes and making reads off the RQS answers if I hadn't spent most of the day in bed.
