Hey guys! Whats going on? This is my first team I have ever posted here and I have only been playing competitive for a little under a year now so Im sure there is some stuff that I'm just missing that I was thinking you more experienced battlers may see.
The idea: Basically, this idea came from ShadyPenguinn on YouTube. A little while ago on his YouTube channel he had a Wi-Fi battle where he faced off against someone running a Mega Diancie. I knew this thing had some power behind it, but I was astounded after watching the video on how much it really has. So, I just had to try it for myself! This team basically revolves around Diancie or a couple of other common OU sweepers setting up and running through opposing teams.

-Item: (that one mega stone)
-Moonblast
-Diamond Storm
-Earthpower
-Rock Polish
As said above this team basically revolves around Mega Diancie setting up a rock polish and running through enemy teams with ease. These moves, although practically a staple move set, seem to give Diancie just the right amount of coverage to blast away its enemies with ease. Moonblast being STAB and having fairy typing needs very little explanation. Diamond Storm is STAB and adds physical coverage which can help against bulky walls that can't take hits from the physical end such as Goodra. (I realize Goodra isn't incredibly common but I just faced one in my last match and I feel its a good example.) Earth power is the most important move on the set as it allows Diancie to cover for its scary 4x steel weakness and kill common steel threats in OU such as Magnezone or Metagross both of which can't take two (let alone one). And finally Rock Polish gives Diancie that bit of speed it needs and allows it to outspeed everything I have battled against so far.-252 Spa

Thundurus just seems to be one of those 'mons that has remained relevant and deadly ever since its creation in 5th gen. However despite its indisputable power, I find myself without a single team in which he is included. Me being a fan of the GBA, I saw that Mogwai (I think) had drafted him very early on and it reminded me that I need to hop on the band wagon and throw this guy onto the field for myself. With Thundurus covering 3 of Diancies weaknesses (steel, ground, and grass) and his special attack stat sitting at 349 with my set, he can tear through most teams after just one Nasty plot. Simply sub up on their switch/status and proceed to watch their tears stream onto their keyboard as they watch their team being dismantled.-252 Spa

-Nature: Adamant
-Ability: Technician
-Item: Choice Band
-Bullet Punch
-Bug Bite
-Superpower
-U-turn
Scissors just seemed to fit within the team. Its one weakness is covered by Diancie who absolutely loves to switch in on the likes of common fire pokemon in the tier (such as Victini and Talonflame) and obliterate them with a Diamond Storm. Just predict the switch right U-turn out and catch your opponent on the switch with a nice Rock Polish with Diancie. Despite him being the perfect bait Bullet Punch seems to really put the hurt on everything that doesn't resist it. Bug Bite is the most powerful STAB and can almost 2HKO the likes of even the thickest walls that don't resist (Hippowdon 40-48.5% and Ferrothorn 45.4-53.9%). U-turn as previously explained allows Scizor to bait in fire types and then get out of there so Diancie can set up and go. And Superpower is for the pesky Tyranitars and Bisharps which Diancie doesn't always enjoy the company of (especially in the sand).-252 Atk

-Ability: Hydration
-Item: Life Orb
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Hidden Power Fire
-Tail Glow
Manaphy is another one of those Pokemon I just never really got around to using. With it being the only competitively relevant Pokemon in OU to get the almighty Tail Glow, its no secret what this thing is gonna do the moment it switches in. At this point I realized despite me having the proper resistances for those pesky steel types I didn't really have anything to truly deal with them so thats where I began my search for a fire type. However obviously Manaphy is far from a Fire type (in fact its the opposite). So why is it here? This little thing got added to the team mainly because I wanted a fire type but I couldn't deal with the extra ground weakness because EQ spam is just too common in this meta. So I looked around and discovered that after a Tail Glow Hidden Power Fire may as well be stab with the damage it does to those who are weak to it. Too lazy to do calcs but you should just take my word for it ;). Surf is there for STAB and Ice Beam is there because basically a team without one of the genies nowadays is practically unheard of and as Im sure you all know, those things are straight up terrifying.-252 Spa

-Nature: Jolly
-Item: Choice Scarf
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-U-turn
-Knock Off
Did I mention that the genies are good? If not this guy pretty much sums it up. Seems like there isn't a single team nowadays without this guy on it but despite my inner struggle to be a bit more original I just couldn't help myself. The Intimidate support is never a bad thing and this thing with a scarf can run in and out freely causing absolute madness for the other player as you Intimidate his whole team and cause him to shuffle up his team a bit. Earthquake is the main STAB and helps to deal again with those pesky steel types. Stone Edge is there to deal with what EQ can't in case of a late game situation where Diancie is long gone. U-turn is to force switches due to Intimidate and gain initiative for set up (which is basically what this team is set up to do). And finally Knock Off because I seemed to be lacking some Dark type coverage and you can never go wrong with Knock Off.-252 Atk

Well I guess I got my Fire type after all. This guys Spa is ridiculously high and his coverage was too good to pass up. I didn't gain a ground weakness for the most part however due to the Air Balloon which really helps out early game to catch my opponents off guard. Fire Blast is my main STAB and can devastate most everything that forgets just how powerful this thing is. Shadow Ball is more STAB and my Ghost coverage which I didn't have at this point. Energy Ball is for those bulky water types that get too cocky and stay in when weakened, and Taunt is so when and if I do lead off against a Pokemon like Ferrothorn, I can either Taunt and double out or just proceed to fire away and decimate that pesky Ferrothorn.-252 Spa

Well what do you think? I realize there are probably some flaws in my team and I could really use some help patching them up if possible. So please let me know in the comments how I did overall and feel free to leave some suggestions for my team and I will make sure to reply. I don't have a threat list but I do have a pretty cool Diancie sweep which pretty much shows ideally what a match is gonna look like with Diancie at the helm.

PS: I realise Im lacking all those fancy sprites that most of these threads have but again, this is my first post here so I haven't been able to toy around with this stuff yet. Hope you enjoy anyways though!
