It could certainly replace something like bronzong for a tr+sr+boom combo

Definitely. And like Aromatisse, it's Mega is Taunt-proof and doesn't stack weaknesses with other common TR setters.
(Although the boost in speed Mega Diancie gets might not make it the best for Trick Room. Otherwise, I bet Mental Herb or just Leftovers [maybe it'll get Magic Coat as a move tutor?] could work).

IF ONLY IT HAD THE HP STAT OF BLISSEY. Bla bla bla. It is what it is. I have other things I'd rather use my mega slot for, that's all I'm saying, if I want support, I'll look elsewhere. I'd rather use my mega slot to give my heracross 515 attack thanks

If GF were going to give Diancie Geomancy, it would have doneso via the event distribution like Alamos Darkrai.

Diancie's best hope right now is that ORAS brings move tutors with it, Earth Power in particular. It would really help patch up its coverage issues. For now, support sets can get by because Fairy STAB is one of the better ones out there.

It's a piece of rock, it's not getting espeed anytime soon and unstabed priority suck. We need GEOMANCY diancie!! Come on GF, it even rhymes!
Probably no priority

Maybe theres going to be a Diancie movie with Xerneas and Yveltal. Maybe Zygarde lol.

I can't exactly see it using oblivion wing. And maybe lands wrath

I forgot that it's already been released...Damn, there goes my hope of seeing a geomancy user in ou. At this point diancie's on her knees(not that she has em) praying for tutor moves. There's knockoff, earthpower, elemental punches, play rough, power gem. Even 1 is great.

After the Movie 14 Victini distribution (said Victini knowing Fusion Bolt and Fusion Flare) another Victini was distributed for Christmas 2012 that knew Glaciate, Bolt Strike and Blue Flare. So maybe we'll get lucky in the future where Nintendo finds an excuse to distribute Diancie? Granted, now would have been the optimal time to release Geomancy/Oblivion Wing Diancie, so if it's not being done now, it probably won't happen.

Masuda's fav pokemon is Victini, this is why it's been getting so much love and favoritism :p
I doubt we will get another Diancie with Geomancy, but a man can dream ;)

I'm not going to speculate about Mega-Diancie's stat spread, I'm simply going to state right now that it will not be used unless it's at least partially offensive.

Why? because there's no place for defensively oriented mega evolutions. Even if it bestows upon them great boosts in bulk all defensive pokemon have weaknesses to both specific types and tactics. A defensive mega would still be threatened by a particular group of offensive pokemon regardless of how bulky it is. It would still need defensive teammates to form a core with to handle most offensive threats. You're giving up your mega spot to do something an ordinary pokemon can already do. With offensive megas you have things like X-zard and M-Pinsir that are extremely hard to stop and are great additions to your team when utilized right. They're pokemon meant to be supported and also need little support. A defensive pokemon is meant to do the supporting, and being a mega doesn't make them more efficient or better at it since they don't do anything regular defensive pokemon don't.

If a defensively oriented mega pokemon had say; the typing, movepool, defence spread and ability that they could counter most offensive spreads themselves and consolidate a defensive core down to a single pokemon it would be a different story. As it is now though a defensive or support mega is really just limited to full stall teams.

Mega Venusaur.

Try replacing one of the slowbro/king brothers. The diancie niche kinda comes in as priority counter outside of bullet punch (scizor) and is an absolutely fantastic catch to Talonflame. Coupled with explosion and SR access, you can clear off the field much like bronzong but you've got more purpose prior... I suppose a fairy move in place of SR would catch Conk but momentum.

Mega diancie has already been confirmed to be losing defensive stats in favor of attack, special attack, and speed boosts. Basically take hits in base form while setting something up like calm mind or stealth rock and then sweep away. The base forms low speed will be the biggest problem mega diancie faces as it will likely be a decent late game cleaner.

I have actually very much enjoyed my time with diancie's base form thusfar. It is a solid bulky offense member in my experience. Great lure for things like ferrothorn.

If I had to guess based on the information given with a great boost to spd, boosts to attacking stats and a drop to defences - 50/150/120/150/120/110...

Also magic bounce.... ._.

Honestly I feel Diance will only be viable on Stall or as a 'reliable' Trick Room/Stealth Rock setter. While its defenses allow it to take on common threats such as Mega Charizard X and Talonflame, it lacks the move pool or speed to do much else. Even with max defense it still can't take on the physical attackers of ou, bar the two aforementioned mons, and lacks reliable recovery. Being weak to steel and ground in a meta where Mega Mawile and Excadrill and Mega Scizor run lose and not being able to even damage those steel types bar HP Fire/Fighting/Ground, i just don't see the use in using it over a Physical wall like Skarmory who has stealth rock, a recovery move, and a phasing move. Pair it with a fire resist and those two do Diance's job + more. Just my two cents though.
