Diggersby is one of the best physical wallbreakers in the metagame thanks to Huge Power along with its access to great STAB attacks, coverage in Fire Punch, and priority in Quick Attack. It is able to form an amazing offensive core when paired with a teammate such as Mega Lopunny or Mega Pidgeot, as it is able to wallbreak while its partner deals with its faster checks. However, due to common Pokemon having an immunity or resistance to Diggersby's STAB moves, Diggersby relies heavily on prediction in order to get past common defensive cores that are immune to its attacks such as Mega Sableye with Mandibuzz and Skarmory with Heatran. Incorrect predictions in matchups such as Dark and Steel can heavily impede the team's momentum, as Diggersby will be forced to switch out. Its low Speed also leaves much to be desired; while it outspeeds the majority of defensive Pokemon, it is vulnerable to faster attackers such as Infernape, Landorus, and Tapu Bulu. Diggersby's typing and middling bulk leave it vulnerable to a large number of attacks, most notably Ice-, Water-, and Grass-type moves, as well as common priority moves such as Aqua Jet, Ice Shard, and Mach Punch. However, its Ground typing provides a key immunity to Electric, preventing foes such as Zapdos from gaining momentum through Volt Switch. Lastly, Diggersby is very reliant on its item to maintain its ability to work as a wallbreaker and should avoid switching into common Knock Off users such as Armaldo and Gliscor.

Moves
========

Return is Diggersby's most powerful and reliable attack, as it is able to hit the majority of Pokemon neutrally. Earthquake is a great Ground-type STAB attack, allowing Diggersby to hit Steel-, Rock-, and Ghost-types, which are not covered by Return. Fire Punch is necessary for Diggersby to be able to hit Steel-types that are immune to Ground such as Skarmory and Celesteela. Quick Attack is a great priority attack that makes up for Diggersby's mediocre Speed, allowing it to revenge kill weakened foes such as Victini and Thundurus-T.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack investment with an Adamant nature and a Choice Band allows Diggersby to be as powerful as possible and act as a great wallbreaker. Maximum Speed investment allows Diggersby to outspeed threatening Pokemon such as Jolly Scizor and Adamant Bisharp as well as most defensively oriented Pokemon. A Jolly nature can be utilized instead of Adamant to outspeed Pokemon such as Heatran and Mega Scizor, easing the matchup against Steel. 4 Special Defense EVs give Diggersby a higher Special Defense stat than Defense, which prevents Download Pokemon such as Porygon2 from receiving a Special Attack boost. Huge Power doubles Diggersby's Attack, which causes it to be a fearsome wallbreaker that can 2HKO even the toughest physical walls. Life Orb could be utilized over Choice Band to grant Diggersby the ability to switch moves, easing the need for accurate predictions and allowing it to blast through types such as Poison, Steel, and Flying. However, it loses out on the overwhelming power that Choice Band provides and quickly wears Diggersby down.

Usage Tips
========

Diggersby should primarily be used early-game to break walls such as Clefable and Chansey to pave the way for teammates such as Mega Lopunny and Mega Pidgeot. Due to Diggersby's heavy reliance on prediction, be wary of Pokemon such as Protect Mega Sableye, Protect Ferrothorn, and Baneful Bunker Toxapex, as they're able to scout which attack Diggersby is locked into and then switch to a teammate that can deal with whichever move is chosen. Utilize Quick Attack to revenge weakened but faster foes such as Victini and Keldeo; however, be wary of locking Diggersby into Quick Attack, as it opens up opportunities for your opponent to safely bring in threatening setup Pokemon such as Azumarill. Due to Diggersby's mediocre bulk, avoid switching it in on attacks and entry hazards if possible in order to preserve its HP throughout the battle. Avoid common Will-O-Wisp and Scald users such as Mega Sableye and Gastrodon unless they're weakened to the point that Diggersby can KO them, as Diggersby's wallbreaking ability is ruined if it gets burned. Take advantage of Diggersby's Ground typing to block Electric-type attacks, most notably to prevent opposing Pokemon such as Zapdos from gaining momentum through Volt Switch.

Team Options
========

Porygon2 and Chansey form an amazing defensive core that can deal with threats to Diggersby such as Greninja and Kyurem-B. They are also able to spread status such as paralysis to nullify faster attackers such as Keldeo and Greninja and poison to whittle down defensive Pokemon such as Mandibuzz for Diggersby, allowing it to further act as a wallbreaker and cleaner. Chansey notably sets Stealth Rock, which whittles down foes to ease Diggersby's wallbreaking attempts. Staraptor is a great defensive Pokemon that can absorb Fighting-type attacks and remove entry hazards for Diggersby. It can also act as a pivot with U-turn to safely bring Diggersby into the field. Mega Lopunny forms a physically offensive core with Diggersby that can break past most defensive cores. It is also able to deal with physical walls such as Toxapex thanks to Encore and Power-Up Punch. Mega Pidgeot acts as a powerful special attacker that is able to deal with physically defensive Pokemon that Diggersby has trouble with such as Skarmory as well as offensive Pokemon that outspeed Diggersby such as Keldeo and Mega Gallade. It can also utilize U-turn to bring Diggersby in to break special walls. Porygon-Z is is a powerful special setup sweeper that can clean through teams after its common specially defensive checks such as Chansey and Alolan Muk have been eliminated by Diggersby. Ditto is one of the best Choice Scarf users on Normal; it is able to eliminate faster threats to Diggersby such as Terrakion and Garchomp and dissuade sweepers such as Volcarona and Mega Gallade from setting up. Smeargle provides both Sticky Web and Stealth Rock support for Diggersby on hyper offense, allowing it to outspeed Pokemon that otherwise are faster than it such as Kyurem-B and Choice Band Victini. It is also able to put foes to sleep with Spore and paralyze foes with Nuzzle, giving Diggersby more opportunities to break past opposing Pokemon.

Swords Dance can be utilized over Fire Punch or Quick Attack in conjunction with a Life Orb to boost Diggersby's power to extreme levels, letting it act as a potent late-game cleaner. However, Diggersby appreciates the immediate power that a Choice Band provides as well as the Fire-type coverage in Fire Punch or the revenge killing ability that Quick Attack provides. Its mediocre bulk also prevents Diggersby from finding ample opportunity to set up, as its Life Orb also wears it down.

Checks and Counters
===================

Normal
--------
**Faster Attackers**: Faster Pokemon such as Kyurem-B, Keldeo, and Nidoking all threaten to OHKO Diggersby with super effective coverage when out of range of Diggersby's Quick Attack and force it to switch out when it is locked into non-priority attacks.

**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Physical walls such as Porygon2 and Mega Slowbro are able to absorb hits from Diggersby and heal off any damage dealt to them. Skarmory also notably forces Diggersby to lock itself into Fire Punch, which the opponent can easily take advantage of by switching into Pokemon such as Heatran and Mantine.

**Priority**: Due to Diggersby's typing and mediocre bulk, it is weak to common priority moves such as Aqua Jet from Azumarill and Mach Punch from Breloom when it is locked into a non-priority move.

**Burn**: Diggersby cannot wallbreak effectively if it is burned. It should avoid staying in against common Will-O-Wisp and Scald users such as Mega Sableye and Suicune for this reason.

**Protect**: While running Choice Band, Diggersby is reliant on accurate predictions in order to get around Normal- or Ground-immune Pokemon and its defensive checks. Common Protect users such as Mega Sableye and Baneful Bunker Toxapex can scout which move Diggersby is locked into and then switch into a teammate that can handle that move.

* It is able to form an amazing offensive core when paired with teammates such as Mega Lopunny or Mega Pidgeot, being able to deal with most defensive threats.
* Diggersby's attacks are very prediction heavy in order to get past important immunities and resistances. Incorrect predictions in matchups such as Flying and Steel can heavily impede the team's momentum.

* Diggersby is very reliant on its item to maintain its ability to work as a wallbreaker, in this same notion, it is extremely threatened by burns in order to perform its role. this point is quite confusing, should be two bullets or at least refrased to avoid awkwardness like " it is extremely threatened by burns in order to perform its role" or "in this same notion."

* Maximum Attack with an Adamant nature and Choice Band allows Diggersby to be as powerful as possible and act as a great wallbreaker.
* Maximum Speed allows Diggersby to outspeed threatening Pokemon such as Jolly Scizor and Adamant Mega Heracross.
* 4 SpD grants Diggersby a higher Special Defense stat than Defense which prevents Download Pokemon such as Porygon Z from receiving a Special Attack boost. I would mention Porygon2 here instead of PZ, while it mostly runs trace it has an actual analysis set with download while download PZ isnt really a thing compared with adapt.
* Huge Power doubles Diggersby's Attack which solidifies its ability to work as a physical wallbreaker, giving Diggersby nearly no safe switchins due to its ability to 2HKO even the most defensive Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========

* Diggersby's main function is to work as a wallbreaker, therefore try to use it early game to eliminate or weaken defensive oriented Pokemon, paving the way for its teammates such as Mega Lopunny and Mega Pidgeot to clean through their common checks such as Clefable and Chansey, respectively.

* Due to Diggersby's mediocre bulk, avoid switching in on attacks and hazards if possible in order to preserve its HP throughout the battle.
* Avoid burns as much as possible as Diggersby relies on its physical presence in order to perform its role as a wallbreaker. Therefore, avoid common Will-O-Wisp and Scald users examples unless they're in range of KO by Diggersby.

Team Options
========

* Porygon2 and Chansey form an amazing defensive core that Diggersby can rely on to switch out to if Pokemon that threaten Diggersby, such as Greninja and Kyurem-B, come in in hopes of revenging Diggersby. They also are able to spread status such as paralysis and poison to hamper threats to Diggersby, allowing it to further act as a wallbreaker and cleaner.
* Staraptor is a great defensive Pokemon that can absorb Fighting-type attacks for Diggersby as well as remove hazards from the field that threaten to whittle down Diggersby.
* Mega Lopunny forms a physically offensive duo with Diggersby, being able to break past most defensive cores combined. It is also able to deal with Pokemon that are able to absorb physical hits such as Toxapex thanks to Encore and Power-Up-Punch.
* Mega Pidgeot acts as a powerful special attacker that is able to deal with physically defensive Pokemon that Diggersby has trouble with such as Skarmory and Mega Venusaur. Why is Mega Venusaur, which cant come in on either of diggersby's STAB moves, considered an issue here more than Mega Slowbro or Ferrothorn or the like?
* Ditto is one of the best means of speed control on Normal and is able to eliminate faster threats to Diggersby such as Terrakion and Garchomp, while also dissuading setup sweepers such as Volcarona and Mega Gallade.
* Smeargle, on hyper-offensive oriented teams, acts as both Sticky Web and Stealth Rock support for Diggersby, allowing it to more readily outspeed Pokemon that otherwise are faster than it such as Kyurem-B and Choice Band Victini. It is also able to both put foes to sleep with Spore and paralyze opponents with Nuzzle, giving Diggersby more opportunities to break past opposing Pokemon.

Add Immunities since they are major checks to choice locked pokemon like diggersby. I'd also suggest a slot for protect users but that's not as important .
As expected, not that much to say here.

They also are able to spread status such as paralysis and poison to hamper threats to Diggersby, allowing it to further act as a wallbreaker and cleaner. GP note but you say Diggersby 3 times in the first line. I'd also emphasize how paralysis lets Diggersby revenge kill offensive threats that are typically faster, such as Keldeo or Victini.
* Staraptor is a great defensive Pokemon that can absorb Fighting-type attacks for Diggersby as well as remove hazards from the field that threaten to whittle down Diggersby. I'd mention how it can pivot into Diggersby with U-turn.
* Mega Lopunny forms a physically offensive duo with Diggersby, being able to break past most defensive cores combined. It is also able to deal with Pokemon that are able to absorb physical hits such as Toxapex thanks to Encore and Power-Up-Punch. This might not be the place to explain how exactly PuP + Encore works, but I'd at least say "Break past walls" or something to that effect.
* Mega Pidgeot acts as a powerful special attacker that is able to deal with physically defensive Pokemon that Diggersby has trouble with such as Skarmory and Mega Slowbro. Mega Pidgeot also supports Diggersby more as a revenge killer for offensive threats Diggersby can't check (Keldeo / Mega Gallade, etc) and a pivot with U-turn to bring it in on special walls.
* Ditto is one of the best means of speed control on Normal and is able to eliminate faster threats to Diggersby such as Terrakion and Garchomp, while also dissuading setup sweepers such as Volcarona and Mega Gallade.

**Faster Pokemon**: Faster Pokemon such as Kyurem-B, Keldeo, and Nidoking all threaten to OHKO Diggersby with super-effective coverage when out of range of Diggersby's Quick Attack and force it to switch out when it is locked into non-priority attacks. "Faster Pokemon" is a bit vague. I would say "Faster Attackers"

**Physically Defensive Walls**: Overly defensive walls such as Porygon2 and Mega Slowbro are able to absorb hits from Diggersby and heal off any damage dealt to them. Skarmory also notably forces Diggersby to use Fire Punch which allows its opponent to take advantage by switching into Pokemon such as Heatran and Mantine.

**Priority**: Due to Diggersby's typing and mediocre bulk, it is weak to common priority moves such as Aqua Jet and Mach Punch from Azumarill and Breloom, respectively. I'm not sure these are the best examples, since they take neutral damage from Quick Attack and Diggersby outspeeds them. Mega Scizor / Scizor might be a more apt example, or Choice Band Infernape.

**Burn**: Diggersby cannot perform its main function of a physical wallbreaker if it is burned. It should avoid common Will-O-Wisp and Scald users such as Mega Sableye and Suicune in fear of getting burned.
Looking slick QC 1/3

Overview:
- The offensive core Mega + Diggersby is good because Diggersby beats defensive Pokemon while the Mega handles faster Pokemon. Diggersby doesn't need help beating walls.
- Burns line doesn't really belong here.

Set:
- Jolly Diggersby is good for really messing up Steel teams.
- Also a typo Att -> Atk

move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Fire Punch
move 4: Quick Attack
item: Choice Band
ability: Huge Power
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Set Details:
- Life Orb should go here.
- I would separate out some of the thoughts here because adding Jolly to the set and Life Orb to this section.
- Adamant vs Jolly is less about wallbreaking and more deciding between outspeeding Heatran and having a stronger Quick Attack.
- Life Orb will really hurt wallbreaking but pretty much totally beats Poison, Steel, and Flying teams if played right. (Leftovers Skarmory can now switch into Fire Punch, but it can only do so when very healthy and with no Stealth Rock on the field)

Usage Tips:
- This line is kinda bland:
* Utilize Quick Attack in order to revenge weakened but faster foes such as Victini and Keldeo.
Maybe add something about how Diggersby hates being locked into it?

Team Options:
- Definitely mention Stealth Rock Chansey for Life Orb Diggersby and generally punishing the opponent even if they predict right due to the switches Diggersby forces.
- Mega Pidgeot doesn't really handle Mega Slowbro, since just one CM puts it out of range.
- Add Porygon-Z

Other Options:
- Moved Jolly
- Preemptively vetoing Superpower :blobwizard:

Checks and Counters:
- Protect should be here.

Good work QC 2/3

Due to Diggersby's mediocre bulk, avoid switching it in on attacks and entry hazards if possible in order to preserve its HP throughout the battle. They are also are able to spread status such as paralysis to nullify faster attackers such as Keldeo and Greninja and poison to whittle down defensive Pokemon such as Mandibuzz for Diggersby, allowing it to further act as a wallbreaker and cleaner. Swords Dance can be utilized over Fire Punch or Quick Attack in conjunction with a Life Orb to boost Diggersby's power to extreme levels, acting as a potent late-game cleaner. However, Diggersby appreciates the immediate power that a Choice Band provides as well as the Fire-type coverage in Fire Punch or the revenge killing ability that Quick Attack provides. Its mediocre bulk also prevents Diggersby from finding ample opportunity to set up, (AC) as its Life Orb also wears it down.

**Faster Attackers**: Faster Pokemon such as Kyurem-B, Keldeo, and Nidoking all threaten to OHKO Diggersby with super-effective super effective coverage when out of range of Diggersby's Quick Attack and force it to switch out when it is locked into non-priority attacks.

**Physically Defensive Walls Pokemon**: Overly defensive Physical walls such as Porygon2 and Mega Slowbro are able to absorb hits from Diggersby and heal off any damage dealt to them. Skarmory also notably forces Diggersby to use Fire Punch, (AC) which allows its opponent to take advantage the opponent can easily take advantage of by switching into Pokemon such as Heatran and Mantine.

**Priority**: Due to Diggersby's typing and mediocre bulk, it is weak to common priority moves such as Aqua Jet and Mach Punch from Azumarill and Breloom, respectively, when it is locked into a non-priority move.

**Burn**: Diggersby cannot perform its main function of a physical wallbreaker wallbreak effectively if it is burned. It should avoid staying in against common Will-O-Wisp and Scald users such as Mega Sableye and Suicune in fear of getting burned for this reason.

**Protect**: While running Choice Band, Diggersby is reliant on accurate predictions in order to get around immunities Normal- or Ground-immune Pokemon and its defensive checks. Common Protect Pokemon users such as Mega Sableye and Baneful Bunker Toxapex can scout which move Diggersby is locked into and then switch into a teammate that can handle that move.

However, due to common Pokemon having an immunity or resistance to Diggersby's STAB moves having common immunities and resistances, Diggersby relies heavily on prediction in order to get past common defensive cores that are immune to its attacks such as Mega Sableye with Mandibuzz and Skarmory with Heatran.

Return is Diggersby's most powerful and reliable attack, (AC) (keep comma, remove comment) as it is able to hit the majority of Pokemon neutrally. Earthquake is a great Ground-type STAB attack, allowing it Diggersby to hit Steel-, Rock-, and Ghost-types, which are not covered by Return.

Set Details

Maximum Attack investment with an Adamant nature and a Choice Band allows Diggersby to be as powerful as possible and act as a great wallbreaker. Maximum Speed investment allows Diggersby to outspeed threatening Pokemon such as Jolly Scizor and Adamant Bisharp as well as most defensively oriented (RH) Pokemon.

Usage Tips
========

Take advantage of its Diggersby's Ground typing to block Electric-type attacks, most notably to prevent opposing Pokemon such as Zapdos from gaining momentum through Volt Switch.
