It's not the greatest lead but it catches garydos by surprise. Focus sash is useful for gettin in swords dance.Hopefully Blaze kicks in as well so that flare blitz can reach full potential.It usually takes down atleast one pokemon before leaving.I could use help on the lead.

Cloyster makes for a great physical wall. Ice shard is to get rid of any weak sweepers. Rapid spin makes waste of stealth rock. Explosion is saved for Blissey. Toxic spikes is a good setup if needed.

It's a variation from the standard and usually gets the job done. The hp evs give it a little boost for substitute and leftovers. The unique part of this Yanmega, I believe, is that it can last out for a while. Substitute prevents status conditions plus it takes a hit.

This pokemon makes a great wall. Pain split allows it to play catch up. Willow wisp weakens any physical pokemon.
Portect helps give me idea as to what the opponent plans to do plus it is a good combo with willow wisp. Night shade deals decent damadge.

A highly overused pokemon(like most of my others) and it makes for a very good special sweeper. Silk scarf, adaptability, natsy plot, and hper beam all add up to be 0hKO for that oversized Blissey. Ice Beam is for dragons and thunderbolt for Garydos and weak water pokemon.

Sorry to say, but this is another common move set. Psychic for the STAB bonus. Thunderbolt for that slightly increased chance of paralysis and because it's good for waters. U-turn helps me switch out and makes a good combo with wish. He is a good support for the team.

I know there's always possible improvement for a team(especially mine) so please feel free to give suggestions or just say it's a nice team. Again, thank you.

Cloyster has 5 moves.....
And i don't see why you want to give him Focus Sash, while you're also giving him HP and DEF EV's........
 
Infernape is in its own speed tier, so it never, ever, ever needs 252 speed evs....ever.

Yanmega should not have Dream Eater...nor should any poke in compedative battling unless there is no sleep clause. Give it Hp Ice.

Gahh there are so many problems with this team, those are the first two out of 50 that I noticed.
 
Ok thank you for the tips. Ye the reason there's so many problems is that this team is built to destroy mostly just inexperienced players.

Where is the speed EVs tier? I need to read that again, I lost it. :\

Why not an elemental punch?

To nitpick,

Dusknoir has pressure, sky high defenses, and (coincidentally) becomes one of the best toxic-stallers in the game. When pumped up with special-defense EVs and a careful nature, it can stall out salamence draco meteor PP and other big moves with small PP. Dusknoir is one of the most helpful pokemon in the metagame for this, as it can stall out specs-shay PP very, very quickly. As almost his entire team is specs-shay weak, (with a life orb, nothing can switch in, except for dusky and PZ) dusknoir could be a helpful addition.

He can also use it to outstall some rapid spinners who'll come in on him. Which is great, because I feel like toxic spikes is vital. I don't know why.

I also feel like he doesn't realise this, but w/e.
 
One little rule of thumb: When you have something like Cloyster who has super-high defense, but awful HP; maxing HP EVs makes a MUCH bigger difference to defenses than maxing Def EVs. If you want to have the 168 Atk EVs, then take them out of Defense, never HP on Cloyster.

EV spread should be 252 HP/168 Atk/88 Def.
 
That's what the Infernape set should look like imo, reasons below:

-Most thing that are weak to Close Combat will always switch out, and the ones that won't always outspeed and have something to Ohko you, meaning this is where Mach Punch is more useful on an SD Set (atleast that's what i think) .

-Cloyster is fine, don't have a problem with it, though it's a bit fragile to most of the physical attacks such as Stone Edge and Close Combat.

-Definetely remove dream eater from yanmega and use Air Slash instead . Instead of Substitute i suggest using Protect/HP Ground or even Roost since nobody is going to status yanmega while they can just, ohko it .

-I would go for Earthquake over protect on Dusknoir since it helps you deal against Infernape which otherwise will pose great problem to your team as of now .

-On jirachi imo use Thunder wave over Psychic . Paralyse can help your teammates a lot especially since you don't run a scarf user in there . Psychic while providing good STAB, it won't be as effective to Jirachi's most common switches.

Seems to me that a Mixed Mence aswell as an SD Garchomp would wreak this team since Cloyster doesn't have a way of healing itself and they can just hit and run it till it is on KO range.

Infernape is frail as hell, and those few extra EVs will NOT make a difference. If at any point whatsoever you run into another Infernape, you don't want to be slower than it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with maxing Speed on Infernape. Cloyster as a Rapid spinner is stupid, seeing as how it take 25% damage from SR. I should know, I tried using Torkoal...

Go Petaya on Yanmega if you're running Sub. Dream Eater is useless. I'd recommend Air Slash over it.

Common sets are common for a reason, being different for the sake of being different in a competitive environment. is stupid.
