DP Jynx

Jynx is yet another Pokemon moved down to UU who does not have any
UU counters listed after her move down.

[Counters]

High Special Defense helps to counter Jynx. Clefable is a good choice in general, especially if immune to status by using a Toxic Orb. Lanturn has an Ice resistance and can wall Jynx's other attacks effectively. Grumpig has Thick Fat for Ice resistance, while Hypno has Insomnia to switch in on Lovely Kiss. Ninetales can switch in on Ice attacks, outspeed, and KO with STAB Fire moves. Mantine has hgh Special Defense and isn't weak to most of Jynx's attacks.

The Luna set can be beaten by using the previously mentioned Toxic Orb Clefable. Walrein, Lapras, and Dewgong can stop versions with Ice Beam as the only attack due to their 4x Ice resistance or possibly more with Thick Fat.

Jynx can often beat the previously mentioned counters with her wide movepool. However, Jynx has a limited number of resistances, a Stealth Rock weakness, and poor Defense, making her difficult to switch in. Jynx also dies to almost any Pursuit, even if she opts to stay in. Priority attacks do well, she has weaknesses to Sucker Punch, Shadow Sneak, and Bullet Punch.

I think Hitmontop is at least worth noting as a "check".

Ice beam seems to be used more often. Psychic isn't hard to avoid and Hitmontops priority moves make short work of Jynx.

Just a few small changes, Special Defense should be capitalized, and IMO "kill" shouldn't be used, KO looks and sounds better.

Crawdaunt - Crunches Jynx while immune to Psychic and Resist Ice Beam
Steelix - Stone Edges while resists Psychic
Bastiodon - Resists Psychic and Ice Beam
Aggron - Stone Edges/Focus Punches Jynx while resisting Psychic and Ice Beam
Grumpig - Focus Blasts Jynx into oblivion while resisting Psychic and has a high base SpD.
Blastoise - Resists Ice Beam and has high SpD

None of those (bar Grumpig) should be switching into Jynx until you know what set its running. She may be carrying moves (Shadow Ball, Focus Blast, Hidden Power Fighting/Ground) that hit all of those for SE damage ...

Some of these are mentioned, others are not since Jynx will usually have moves to deal with them. I considered listing Crawdaunt due to double STAB resistance, but its SpDef is just too low.

Don't forget that Grass Knot nails a lot of these Pokemon for at least neutral if not for Super Effective damage (the only one I'd consider in that list might be Grumpig).

Rapidash doesn't have the most stellar Special Defense but would it be considered able to survive anything thrown at him and then outspeed for the kill? I know that Focus Blast is a risky situation but Miltank sounds like a decent switch-in against something like the Luna set thanks to Thick Fat. From there I run out of ideas so... good job otherwise.

Rapidash faces a possible OHKO from Specs Psychic even without SR up on the switch, so it's a little too risky to put as a counter IMO.

Miltank could work, but it may or may not become a permanent UU so I won't put any of them in for now.

I noticed that a 252 SpA Timid Jynx's Focus Blast does ~65% to a standard Toxic Orb Clafable, so if Clefable switches into that, it is skrewed the following turn.

Keep in mind my Jynx was holding Focus Sash, not Life Orb, so with Life Orb it would be even stronger, not to mention it wasn't even Modest.

Clefable, therefore, is only a counter to certain movesets (ones which don't use Focus Blast), and that needs to be noted.

Perhaps list Mantine as a possible counter as it has Massive Special Defense, Haze, and isn't weak to any of its standard attacks: Grass Knot, Ice Beam, Psychic, Focus Blast, etc.

Clefable isn't a perfect counter because Jynx is in general a difficult Pokemon to counter, but if it isn't packing Focus Blast Clefable's a good idea.

Added Mantine to Counters list.

Specs IB (and cm IB) outpace mantine's surf so if mantine switches into jynx it loses. Mantine can't ohko the perish trapper either so it loses to that set too. Mantine only beats the "counter" set and that's if SR isn't in play and obviously if jynx has LKed something else.
