Won 2-1 and robbed honestly a player I think I had nary a chance to beat, Malekith was understandably fuming but honestly I don't really think I made "awful plays" that got rewarded, I got a pretty bad match up imo going on all 3 games and I was forced into the hand (that said, I could've played the g3 much better, imo)

I think g3 specifically is interesting, from my pov, turn 7 specifically is one of the big ones. I was contemplating staying in and eq with gliscor because the twave was fairly obvious, but then I thought Malekith may not risk starmie so early and go for surf or double to something else, in hindsight I should've stayed in though or go for a safer play ala switching to clef tho, I was just tempted to gain the advantage early with a starmie trap, this was a mistake I made in a match some time ago too. The risk I took is a sign of my inexperience, and I'll happily admit that. And getting tar paralyzed was really bad considering it was revealed later an offensive cm latias. Speaking of which, I was honestly not expecting fast offensive cm latias which was really hard to handle for my team, and I would've been in a much, much better spot against jirachi if it weren't for the fact that I was flinched down. I think my opponent played really well throughout, and the last bit was honestly bullshit, but I also think unnecessary risks were taken on their part, and also that the hand wouldn't have been forced had skarm been alive.
P.S. the turn where Malekith thought I'd click fire punch I clicked body slam, expecting something else to come in (I clearly didn't expect hippowdon to come in, but I ofc know fp was bad there, apparently I am a better player than my oppo led onto)
However, the fact that the match up wasn't ideal for all my games might be a sign that my teambuilding still leaves room to be desired.
