As you may have known, I attempted to test a Tentacruel set that utilizes Swords Dance. However, because it isn't extremely popular, I've decided to just replace this over the original Swords Dance set. This functions similairly to the GSC / RSE "DruidCruel". If damage calcs are needed, I will provide them. If Caelum / darkie / etc feels like this should not replace the old Swords Dance set, then so be it.

Swords Dance on Tentacruel may seem foolish at first due to its lackluster Attack stat; however, with access to Swords Dance and the ability to go mixed with Hydro Pump or Surf, Tentacruel can still be a threatening sweeper. Swords Dance Tentacruel is a wall breaker of sorts that dates back to GSC era to beat the infamous Skarmory and Blissey combo. With the addition of the physical / special split as well as Life Orb, Tentacruel can accomplish this even better in the DPP era.

A single Swords Dance nets Tentacruel 524 Attack. This is just enough to 2HKO most walls such as Blissey, Celebi, and even bulky Water-types such as Vaporeon and Suicune with Stealth Rock support. The combination of Poison Jab and Waterfall gets surprisingly good coverage, being only resisted by two Pokemon in OU: opposing Tentacruel and Empoleon. Hydro Pump or Surf (with a Lonely nature) are useful against physically defensive Pokemon like Hippowdon, Skarmory, and Forretress.

The given EVs allow Tentacruel to outspeed Timid Heatran and Adamant Lucario. An Adamant nature and Hydro Pump is perfectly acceptable, as it will still 2HKO Hippowdon, Skarmory, and Forretress.

Swords Dance on Tentacruel may seem insane at first due to its lackluster Attack stat. STAB Hydro Pump or Surf on Tentacruel’s side can fix that problem. [re-worded this sentence slightly and removed the word 'with'] Swords Dance Tentacruel is a wall breaker of sorts that dates back to GSC era, where it was used to beat the infamous Skarmory and Blissey combo. [should a mention of GSC be here at all?] With DPP's physical / special split as well as Life Orb, Tentacruel can still accomplish this task.

A single Swords Dance nets Tentacruel 524 Attack. This is just enough to 2HKO most walls such as Blissey, Celebi, and even bulky Water-types such as Vaporeon and Suicune with Stealth Rock support. The combination of Poison Jab and Waterfall leaves only other Tentacruel, Dialga, Empoleon, Qwilfish, and Shedinja to resist it. Qwilfish can be met with a 2HKO after a Swords Dance and Stealth Rock. Enemy Tentacruel aren’t doing much damage to you thanks to your high Special Defense stat, and is suffering 40.93% - 48.35% after a Swords Dance. [I know you're not supposed to refer to the user in the third person in analyses, but when you're talking about two of the same pokemon, there's really no other way to differentiate] Shedinja is met with the grim reaper thanks to Stealth Rock. Finally, Dialga remains in the Uber environment, where this Tentacruel won't be used. Hydro Pump or Surf should be used against Hippowdon, Skarmory, and Forretress.

The given EVs outspeed Timid Heatran and Adamant Lucario. An Adamant nature and Hydro Pump is perfectly acceptable, as it will still 2HKO Hippowdon, Skarmory, and Forretress.

Am I correct in assuming that Lonely will 2HKO them all with Surf? If so, you might want to make a mention of which move goes with which nature.

Added. Thank you Syberia.

I think that GSC thing was something necessary, because that was the intent of the set really. And I slightly disagree on the change of the next sentence; however, I have no problem fixing it if you think that it should be the way you worded it.

On second thought, it's ok the way it is. "the addition of" just sounded slightly awkward, but I get the point.

Did you leave Empoleon off of that resist list run-down purposely? I know you can't touch him but to mention the resistors and then give options for them all except him seems off track.

how much damage does a SE 80 BP natural gift (i forget what berrys give 80 BP ground/elec/fighting) after a swords dance because thats its best option for it (because it hits harder than a SE HP due both to higher BP and hitting the lower defensive stat)

I wouldn't worry about Empoleon since you have over a 60% chance to 2HKO offensive varients and they can't do much back to cruel anyway (you pretty much wall Empoleon).

I cleaned it up a bit. I eliminated the writing about Qwilfish and Quagsire and garbage because I never see them in OU anyway and I just cleaned it up a bit in spots.

Whenever you think this is ready CM you can upload it yourself, I'll leave that to you for when you think it's done.

Added comma in second paragraph and reworded a section of the third, since the EVs themselves don't outrun Heatran and Lucario, the EVs allow Tentacruel to outrun them.
