Dragon
========

Dragalge has a niche on Dragon teams because of its access to Toxic Spikes, which benefits Dragon teams in bad matchups such as Fairy and Normal. Its Poison typing, amazing Special Attack, and ability Adaptability further enable it to pressure Fairy-types with Sludge Wave and OHKO Mega Diancie after Stealth Rock damage. Furthermore, Dragalge can take care of special Bug- and Fighting-type attacks from Volcarona and Gengar for Latios and Hydreigon that would otherwise OHKO them. Dragalge also has decent Special Defense that allows it to take on attacks from the likes of Keldeo and Nihilego and attack back with its STAB moves. However, while Dragalge is able to tank a few Fairy-type attacks, it struggles with taking repeated physical attacks from the likes of Victini, Mega Sharpedo, and Mega Scizor because of its low Defense. Dragalge's below average Speed also causes it to often move last before attacking, thus taking damage before it gets a chance to do so most of the time. Furthermore, its additional weaknesses to Psychic and Ground mean that it will be useless in these matchups, as it gets outpaced and OHKOed by most Pokemon that are common on these types. It also has trouble finding a slot on Dragon teams due to competition from better special attackers that have more Speed and are more useful in other matchups like Kommo-o and Hydreigon, for example.

Moves
========

Draco Meteor can put holes into Pokemon like Hippowdon, Mega Sableye, and Slowbro. Sludge Wave allows Dragalge to pressure most Fairy-types like Tapu Koko and Mega Diancie also and gives it a spammable attack in most matchups. Toxic Spikes is needed to help pressure bulkier teams like Normal and Water, as it stops walls like Chansey and Porygon2 from staying in too long. Hidden Power Fire is used for hitting Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor, as both Pokemon either are immune to or resist both of Dragalge's STAB moves.

Set Details
========

224 HP and 4 Special Defense EVs are used to make Dragalge as bulky as possible to be able to tank Fairy-type moves like Choice Specs Tapu Koko's Dazzling Gleam and Mega Diancie's Moonblast. 252 Special Attack EVs with the ability Adaptability make Dragalge's STAB moves hit Pokemon like Hippowdon and Mega Diancie as hard as possible. 28 Speed EVs allow Dragalge to outpace Hippowdon and do a good amount of damage to it. Poison Barb is important to make Sludge Wave hit Fairy-types like Clefable and Mega Diancie as hard as possible in order to OHKO them.

Usage Tips
========

Use Dragalge in the Normal and Water matchups, as Toxic Spikes can wear down walls like Porygon2 and Swampert. This forces Toxapex or Mantine to come out and remove the hazards from the field because their teammates hate being inflicted by poison and Toxic. Dragalge forcing switches from the likes of Mega Diancie and Araquanid in the Fairy and Bug matchups makes a perfect time to set up Toxic Spikes to help wear them down; however, be careful around physical attackers like Victini, Terrakion, and Tapu Bulu as Dragalge cannot take their attacks well and has to switch to a teammate like Garchomp to take the attack. Switch in Dragalge when common Toxic users like Zapdos and Toxapex are on the field, as Dragalge is immune to it. Thanks to its Poison typing, Dragalge can also get rid of Toxic Spikes for its teammates, which they appreciate. Be careful about setting up Toxic Spikes around Magic Bounce users like Mega Diancie and Mega Sableye, as they will bounce Toxic Spikes onto your side of the field. Dragalge is also a good wallbreaker thanks to its ability Adaptability and Poison Barb, which allows it to take care of walls like Porygon2 and Zapdos. It is also able to pressure Fairy-types because of its strong Sludge Wave, and be a good neutral option in a neutral matchup due to its raw power. Use Draco Meteor against walls like Hippowdon and Mega Sableye once they are damaged or when Dragalge's health is too low for it to come back in. Use Dragalge as a lead in the Fairy matchup, as its Poison typing threatens most Fairy-types and can force switches. Dragalge can take advantage of this and set up Toxic Spikes rather than attacking; however, when trying to set Toxic Spikes, be careful if Mega Diancie has Mega Evolved, as entry hazards will be bounced to your side of the field because of its ability Magic Bounce. It is also wise to try to conserve Dragalge as much as possible, as it has an easier time setting up Toxic Spikes and using Sludge Wave once Mega Diancie is gone. In the Normal matchup, having Toxic Spikes on the field helps to wear down Mega Lopunny and walls like Chansey and Porygon2. Dragalge can set Toxic Spikes on passive Pokemon like Chansey and Porygon2 thanks to its Special Defense. However, be careful about using Toxic Spikes against Mega Lopunny and Diggersby because Dragalge cannot take attacks from them well.

Team Options
========

Mega Latias appreciates Dragalge's Toxic Spikes, as walls like Chansey and Porygon2 will be forced out before too long, while Mega Lopunny cannot keep using Encore, which gives Mega Latias an easier time with setting up. In return, Dragalge can also OHKO Mega Diancie with Sludge Wave, which helps with setting up Mega Latias in the Fairy matchup. Similarly, Mega Altaria appreciates Dragalge's Toxic Spikes support, putting pressure on bulky Pokemon like Chansey and Porygon2 and giving it an easier time to set up and sweep in both the Normal and Fairy matchups, as well as Dragalge taking care of Mega Diancie for it. Mega Altaria also helps greatly in the Dark matchup by taking care of Mega Sableye to make it easier to keep Toxic Spikes up. Garchomp is the only viable Stealth Rock user that Dragon teams have access to; fortunately, Stealth Rock pairs well with Dragalge's Toxic Spikes, as it helps with taking out Swampert and Greninja on Water teams and Staraptor on Normal teams so Toxic Spikes can stay up. Garchomp can also take on Steel-types that Dragalge struggles with like Heatran and Excadrill. Kommo-o helps greatly in the Steel and Poison matchups, as Taunt stops Celesteela and Ferrothorn from using Leech Seed, as well as helping with Pokemon that Dragalge struggles with like Excadrill, Nidoking, Toxapex, and Ice-types like Mamoswine because of its Fighting typing. Kommo-o can boost all its stats with Clangorous Soulblaze to take care of most Steel-types like Excadrill and Skarmory with Drain Punch and Flamethrower, but it struggles against Celesteela and Calm Mind Jirachi. Kyurem-B helps greatly in the Flying matchup, as Dragalge cannot do much because of everything outpacing it as well as Mantine soaking up its attacks. With Fusion Bolt and Ice Beam, Kyurem-B can take care of Mantine and Celesteela as well as troubling Ground-types like Landorus-T and Hippowdon. Kyurem-B can also switch into Greninja, as it can take an Ice Beam and either Roost the damage off or KO it with Fusion Bolt. Choice Scarf Latios is a great revenge killer for Dragon teams, as it gives a way to deal with fast Fighting-types like Keldeo and deals with threatening setup sweepers like Mega Charizard X and Cloyster after they set up once. It is also useful as a Defogger, as it remove hazards that could stop Dragalge from tanking an attack and putting out one layer of Toxic Spikes. Dragonite is very useful for Dragon teams, as its Extreme Speed helps deal with Greninja, one of the biggest threats to Dragon teams, as well as being a powerful wallbreaker to break walls like Celesteela, Chansey, and Toxapex with Fire Punch, Superpower, and Outrage, respectively.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Dragon
--------
Dragon Fang can be used over Poison Barb to get the OHKO on Hippowdon; however, Dragalge loses the KO on Mega Diancie with Sludge Wave after some chip damage. Black Sludge can be used to give passive recovery to Dragalge; however, this also means it loses important KOs on Pokemon like Mega Diancie after Stealth Rock.

Checks and Counters
===================

Dragon
--------

**Steel-types**: Even if Dragalge runs Hidden Power Fire, Steel-types like Heatran, Excadrill, and Celesteela can easily wall it and either use their Ground-type attacks or slowly wear Dragalge down to take care of it.

**Faster Attackers**: Pokemon that outpace Dragalge like Landorus, Mega Gallade, and Alolan Ninetales can easily OHKO it with their super effective STAB attacks.

**Special Walls**: Walls like Chansey, Celesteela, and Mantine soak up Dragalge's STAB attacks, are able to use their recovery moves against it, and can slowly wear it down with their attacks. However, Chansey has to be wary of Toxic Spikes.

**Magic Bounce**: Pokemon with the ability Magic Bounce like Mega Diancie and Mega Sableye can cause mind games, as Dragalge cannot safely set up Toxic Spikes without a chance of it bouncing onto your side of the field; however, Dragalge can heavily damage these two thanks to its STAB attacks.

**Physical Attackers**: Physical attackers like Diggersby, Mega Sharpedo, and Mamoswine can OHKO Dragalge from full before it has a chance to attack back.

[OVERVIEW]

Dragon
========

* Dragalge has a niche on Dragon because of its access to Toxic Spikes, which helps against bulkier builds like Normal and Water that Dragon-type teams struggle with.
- would like you to reword this, say dragons normally bad matchups normal and fairy. its main niche is one being a huge help in fairy thanks to toxic spikes

* Thanks to its Poison-typing and its ability Adaptability, it can pressure Fairy-types with Sludge Wave and OHKO Mega Diancie after Stealth Rock damage.
* has an amazing spa stat, you can combine this with the above bullet if you choose

* While Dragalge has decent Special Defense that allows it to tank a few Fairy-type attacks, it struggles with taking repeated physical attacks from the likes of Victini, Diggersby, and Mega Scizor because of its low Defense stat.
- diggersby is a bad example, should be ohkoing it always

* Dragalge's slow speed means it gets outpaced by a lot of the metagame, even from slow Pokemon like Defensive Swampert, therefore limiting the number of times it can attack because of taking damage before attacking and having no recovery.
- just say its below average speed means that it often moves last in the meta, or smthng like tht. second part of this sentence is all weird

* Furthermore, its additional Weaknesses to Psychic and Ground means that it will be useless in these matchups, as it gets outpaced by most Pokemon that are common on these types and will get OHKOed.

* talk about how it doesnt really fit on dragon teams and it has to fight for its slot

Moves
========

* Draco Meteor can put holes into bulky Water and Flying teams as once Mantine and Celesteela are gone, as well as take on Hippodown and Avalugg.
- just give examples of what it can hit, this is too much mu specific detail for the moves section

* Sludge Wave when paired with the item Poison Barb and the ability Adaptability, Dragalge can pressure most Fairy-types like Tapu Koko and Mega Diancie. It is also spammable in most matchups as its a powerful STAB attack.
- poison barb is an item not move, therefore should not be in this section

* Hidden Power Fire is for hitting Steel-types like Klefki, a Pokemon that is immune to both of Dragalge's STABs.
- mega scizor is another good example

* Toxic Spikes is needed to help pressure bulkier builds like Normal and Water as being Toxic will hinder walls like Porygon2 from staying in.
- this is worded weirdly

Set Details
========

* Dragalge has 224 HP and 4 SpD in EVs is to make Dragalge as bulky as possible to be able to tank fairy-types moves like Tapu Koko's Dazzling Gleam and Mega Diancie's Moonblast twice.
* 252 SpA EVs with the ability Adaptability makes Dragalge's STAB moves hit Pokemon like Hippowdon and mega Diancie as hard as possible.
* 28 Spe in EVs is to outpace Hippowdon and KO it with Draco Meteor after some chip.
- dont say ohko it after some chip, just say it can chunk hippowdon. chip damage notes are only worth if it can be koed after sr etc

* The item Poison Barb is important to make Sludge Wave hit Fairy-types like Tapu Fini and Mega Diancie as hard as possible to get the OHKO on them.

Usage Tips
========

* Use Dragalge in the Normal and Water matchup once Staraptor is down for the former and Toxapex for the latter. As this means Toxic Spikes can stay down to wear down walls like Porygon2 and Swampert.
- again worded weirdly

* Due to how Dragalge can force switches such as in the Fairy and Bug matchup, this is a perfect time to set down a Toxic Spikes to help wear them down.
* Be careful around physical attackers like Victini, Terrakion, Tapu Bulu, and Diggersby, as Dragalge cannot take these attacks well, so it is best to switch into a teammate to take the attack like Garchomp.
- again diggersby is a bad example as it ohkoes it

* Switch into Dragalge when common toxic users like Zapdos and Toxapex are on the field, as Dragalge is immune to it; and thanks to its Poison-typing, it can also get rid of Toxic Spikes for its teammates, which they appreciate.
* Be careful around setting Toxic Spikes around Magic Bounce Bonue users like Mega Diancie and Mega Sableye, as this will bounce Toxic spikes onto your side of the field.

* using adaptability+draco to nuke
* fairy mu tip
* normal mu tip

Team Options
========

* Mega Latias and Mega Altaria both appreciate Dragalge's Toxic Spikes, as Pokemon like Mega Lopunny and walls like Chansey and Porygon2 cannot keep using Encore for the former and Recover for the latter which gives these two an easier time with setting up with Calm Mind and Dragon Dance respectfully. Mega Latias should be used moreso for the Normal and Flying matchup and Mega Altaria is more useful in the Dark matchup.
- this is way to usage tip like, condense this bullet and just focus on how toxic spikes can wear down their checks and it can ohko Mega Diancie for them

* Garchomp is the only viable Stealth Rock user that Dragon teams have access to. Stealth Rock pairs well with Dragalge's Toxic Spikes as it helps with wearing down Swampert and Greninja on Water teams and wearing down Staraptor on Normal teams so Toxic Spikes can stay down.
- talk abt how garchomp can take on steels like heatran for dragalge

* Kommo-o helps greatly in the Steel-type matchup and helps Dragalge with Ice-types like Mamoswine because of its Fighting-typing. Kommo-o can omniboost from its Z-move Clanging scales to take care of most Steel-types like Excadrill and Skarmory with Drain Punch and Flamethrower.
- what steel types cant kommo-o beat?

* Kyurem-B helps greatly in the Flying matchup, as Dragalge cannot do much because of everything outpacing it as well as Mantine soaking up its attacks. With Fusion Bolt, it can take care of Mantine and Celesteela [space] and Ice Beam can take care of troubling Ground-types like Landorus-T and Hippodown. It can also come in on Greninja's Ice Beam, as Kyurem-B can keep itself healthy with Roost.
- dragalge can tank grens ice beam and ohko it back, this isnt unique to kyub. also kyub is still a very shaky greninja check

* Latios is a great revenge killer for Dragon, as it gives a way to deal with fast Fighting-types like Keldeo and deal with threating set up sweepers like Mega Charizard X and Cloyster after they set up once. It is also useful for Defog, as it can get away hazards that could hinder Dragalge from tanking an attack and putting out a Toxic Spike s.
* Dragonite is very useful for Dragon as its Extreme Speed helps deal with Greninja; one of the biggest threats to Dragon as well as be a powerful wallbreaker to break walls like Celesteela, Chansey and Toxapex with Fire Punch, Superpower and Outrage respectfully.

Dragon
--------
* Black Sludge can be used to help give passive recovery to Dragalge, however, this means it cannot net important KOs like Mega Diancie after Stealth Rock.
* Dragon Fang can be used over Poison Barb to get the OHKO on Hippowdon however, this means that Sludge Wave is missing the guaranteed KO on Mega Diancie after some chip damage.
* Choice Specs can be used to become a powerful wallbreaker with using Focus Blast over Toxic Spikes. However, with its low Speed it will almost always take an attack first and cannot switch between its STAB moves, Hidden Power Fire or set Toxic Spikes because of being Choice locked.
- idk if i like choice specs dragalge it likes switching around attacks w/ adapt and being able to freely setup tspikes

Checks and Counters
===================

Dragon
--------
**Ground-types**: Most Ground-types outspeed Dragalge like Landorus and Excadrill and can OHKO it with Earth Power and Earthquake respectfully.

**Psychic-types**: Pokemon like Mega Gallade, Meloetta, and Alakazam give Dragalge trouble as Meloetta and Alakazam can take one Draco Meteor and 2 HKO Dragalge with Psychic while Mega Gallade can OHKO it with Zen Headbutt.

**Ice-types**: Troubling Ice types like Alolan Ninetales, Alolan Sandslash, and Cloyster all outpace Dragalge and therefore OHKO it before it gets a chance to attack.

**Special Walls**: Walls like Chansey and Mantine soak up Dragalge's STAB attacks, use their recovery move and can slowly wear it down with their attacks.
- add celesteela to this bullet

**Magic Bounce**: Pokemon with the ability Magic Bounce like Mega Diancie and Mega Sableye causes 50s/50s as Dragalge cannot safely set up Toxic Spikes without a chance of it bouncing onto your side of the field.
- mention that both of them can be ohkoed/heavily chipped by dragalge

**Wallbreakers**: Wallbreakers like Victini, Diggersby and Mamoswine can OHKO Dragalge from full before it has a chance to attack back.
- victini rarely runs zen headbutt its a bleh example.

Perhaps some more positivity in the Overview? None of these points are wrong persay, but the negatives outweighing the positives makes it sound like Dragalge is more of a hinderance than a help on Dragon teams; Try to explain more why Dragalge can be a valuable asset.

Set Details
========

* Dragalge has 224 HP and 4 SpD in EVs is to make Dragalge as bulky as possible to be able to tank Fairy-types moves like Choice Specs (specify this) Tapu Koko's Dazzling Gleam and Mega Diancie's Moonblast twice. (252 SpA Diancie-Mega Moonblast vs. 224 HP / 4 SpD Dragalge: 153-180 (46.7 - 55%) -- 66.8% chance to 2HKO; that's really shaky imo.)
* 252 SpA EVs with the ability Adaptability makes Dragalge's STAB moves hit Pokemon like Hippowdon and mega Diancie as hard as possible.
* 28 Spe in EVs is to outpace Hippowdon and do a good amount of damage to it.
* The item Poison Barb is important to make Sludge Wave hit Fairy-types like Tapu Fini Clefable (Fini isn't super relevant) and Mega Diancie as hard as possible to get the OHKO on them.

Usage Tips
========

* Use Dragalge in the Normal and Water matchup once Staraptor is down for the former and Toxapex for the latter. As this means Toxic Spikes can stay down to wear down walls like Porygon2 and Swampert.
* Due to how Dragalge can force switches from the likes of Mega Dianice and Araquanid in the Fairy and Bug matchup, this is a perfect time to set down a Toxic Spike to help wear them down.
* Be careful around physical attackers like Victini, Terrakion, and Tapu Bulu as Dragalge cannot take these attacks well, so it is best to switch into a teammate to take the attack like Garchomp.
* Switch into Dragalge when common Toxic users like Zapdos and Toxapex are on the field, as Dragalge is immune to it; and thanks to its Poison-typing, it can also get rid of Toxic Spikes for its teammates, which they appreciate.
* Be careful about setting up Toxic Spikes around Magic Bounce users like Mega Diancie and Mega Sableye, as this will bounce Toxic spikes onto your side of the field. (point's fine but I'm not sure how putting up TSpikes matters against M-Sableye's typings when you have Gengar and Alolan Muk to remove them.)
* Draco Meteor boosted by its ability Adaptability can help weaken troublesome Pokemon like Hippowdon and Mega Sableye. Talk about when to use Draco Meteor to weaken foes rather than mention what it does; otherwise it's just another Moves bullet.
* Use Dragalge as a lead in the Fairy matchup as its Poison-typing threatens most Faires and can force switches. Dragalge can take advantage of this and set down a Toxic Spike rather than attacking; however be careful if Mega Diancie Mega Envolves as if it tries to come in while trying to set a Toxic Spike, it will be bounced to your side of the field because of its ability Magic Bounce. Talk about conserving Dragalge for this mu as well, as the healther it is, the greater asset it'll become for firing off Sludge Waves safer / setting up Tspikes when M-Diancie is removed.
* In the Normal matchup, having Toxic Spikes down helps wear down walls like Chansey and Porygon2 and Mega Lopunny (the way this is written implies that M-Lop is a wall, which is false; re-write it to make sense). Dragalge can set Toxic Spikes on passive Pokemon like Chansey and on Porygon2 thanks to its Special Defense stat. However, be careful about using Toxic Spikes on Mega Lopunny because it cannot take its attacks well. Same kind of goes for Diggersby really.

Team Options
========

* Mega Latias and Mega Altaria both appreciate Dragalge's Toxic Spikes, as Pokemon like Mega Lopunny and walls like Chansey and Porygon2 cannot keep using Encore for the former and Recover for the latter which gives these two an easier time with setting up. Dragalge can also OHKO Mega Diancie for them with Sludge Wave which helps with setting up in the Fairy-type matchup. (I'd seperate these two into different bullet points; they each have vastly different functions in the current metagame.)
It can also take on Steel-types that Dragalge struggles with like Heatran and Excadrill.
* Kommo-o helps greatly in the Steel-type matchup and helps Dragalge with Ice-types like Mamoswine because of its Fighting-typing. Kommo-o can omniboost from its Z-move Clanging Scales to take care of most Steel-types like Excadrill and Skarmory with Drain Punch Close Combat and Flamethrower, but Kommo-o struggles against Celesteela and Calm Mind Jirachi.
* Kyurem-B helps greatly in the Flying matchup, as Dragalge cannot do much because of everything outpacing it as well as Mantine soaking up its attacks. With Fusion Bolt, it can take care of Mantine and Celesteela and Ice Beam can take care of troubling Ground-types like Landorus-T and Hippodown.

It is also useful for Defog, as it can get away hazards that could hinder Dragalge from tanking an attack and putting out a one layer of Toxic Spikes.

Set:
- I prefer Draco > Sludge Wave > Tspike > HP Fire as the ordering. Also change the name of the set to Offensive or something.

Moves:
- Reoder based on that^

Usage Tips:
- Why wait for Staraptor to be gone? It can't Defog on Dragalge at all, since Draco Meteor (and Sludge Wave on a roll) takes it out. That's why Dragalge is so good vs Normal.
- Putting up Toxic Spikes vs Water is also good even before Toxapex is taken out. That forces Water to remove them in some way, since their team hates Poison. That can give you precious turns before Greninja gets time to Ice Beam your team for free.
- Worth talking about using Dragalge as a wallbreaker. Adaptability and Poison Barb make Sludge Wave ridiculously strong.

Team Options:
- Worth noting that Taunt Kommo-o can be a fantastic answer to types that Dragalage is weak against. Notably, Poison and Steel, which are immune to its Toxic Spikes.
- Kyurem-B as a switch-in to Greninja is also nice

Other Options:
- Dragon Fang exists as a way to really blow back some checks.

Checks and Counters:
- We don't need the type chart here. Just consolidate Ground-, Psychic-, and Ice-types into Faster Attackers.
- Even though Dragalge has Hidden Power Fire, a lot of Steel-types are still good checks to it. Celesteela, Heatran, Excadrill, and others don't take that much damage from Hidden Power Fire.

Furthermore, its additional Weaknesses weaknesses to Psychic and Ground means that it will be useless in these matchups, as it gets outpaced by most Pokemon that are common on these types and will get OHKOed. It also has trouble finding a slot on Dragon teams due to better Special Attackers special attackers that have more Speed and more useful in other matchups like Kommo-o and Hydeigion, for example.

Dragalge has 224 HP and 4 SpD in Special Defense EVs is to make Dragalge itself as bulky as possible to be able to tank Fairy-type moves like Choice Specs Tapu Koko's Dazzling Gleam and Mega Diancie's Moonblast. 252 SpA Special Attack EVs with the ability Adaptability makes Dragalge's STAB moves hit Pokemon like Hippowdon and mega Mega Diancie as hard as possible. 28 Spe in Speed EVs is enough to outpace Hippowdon and allow Dragalge to do a good amount of damage to it. The item Poison Barb is important to make Sludge Wave hit Fairy-types like Clefable and Mega Diancie as hard as possible in order to get the OHKO on them.

Usage Tips

Use Dragalge in the during Normal and Water matchups, (AC) as Toxic Spikes can stay down to wear down walls like Porygon2 and Swampert, (RC) (AP). as in the latter this This forces Toxapex or Mantine to come out same its and remove the hazards from the field because their teammates hate being Poisoned or Toxic poisoned. Due to how Dragalge can force switches from the likes of Mega Dianice Diancie and Araquanid in the Fairy and Bug matchups, this is a perfect time to set down a up Toxic Spikes to help wear them down, however, (AC) be careful around physical attackers like Victini, Terrakion, and Tapu Bulu, (AC) as Dragalge cannot take these their attacks well, so it is best to switch into a teammate to take the attack, (AC) like Garchomp. Switch into Dragalge when common Toxic users like Zapdos and Toxapex are on the field, as Dragalge is immune to it (AP); and thanks Thanks to its Poison-typing (RH), it Dragalge can also get rid of Toxic Spikes for its teammates, which they appreciate. Be careful about setting up Toxic Spikes around Magic Bounce users like Mega Diancie and Mega Sableye, as this will bounce Toxic spikes Spikes onto your side of the field. It Dragalge is also a good wallbreaker because of its ability Adaptability and item Poison Barb, which allows it to take care of walls like Porygon2 and Zapdos. It is also able to pressure Fairy-types because of its strong Sludge Wave attack, as well as being a good neutral option in a neutral match (RS) up due to its raw power. Use Draco Meteor for walls Pokemon like Hippowdon and Mega Sableye when once they are chipped by damaged or when Dragalge's health is too low on health to come back in. Use Dragalge as a lead in the Fairy matchup as its Poison-typing (RH) threatens most Faires Fairy-types and can force switches. Dragalge can take advantage of this and set down a up Toxic Spikes rather than attacking; however be careful if Mega Diancie Mega Evolves as if it tries to come in while trying to set a Toxic Spikes, as it will be bounced to your side of the field because of its ability Magic Bounce. It is also wise to try to conserve Dragalge as much as possible, as it has an easier time to set down setting up Toxic Spikes and use using Sludge Wave once Mega Diancie is gone. In the Normal matchup, having Toxic Spikes down on the field helps to wear down Mega Lopunny and walls like Chansey and Porygon2. Dragalge can set Toxic Spikes on passive Pokemon like Chansey and on Porygon2 thanks to its Special Defense stat. However, be careful about using Toxic Spikes on while Mega Lopunny and Diggersby are on the field because it Dragalge cannot take these attacks from them well.

Team Options

Mega Latias appreciates Dragalge's Toxic Spikes, as Pokemon like Mega Lopunny and walls like Chansey and Porygon2 as Mega Lopunny cannot keep using Encore due to status from Toxic Spikes which gives Mega Latias an easier time with setting up. (Chansey and Porygon2 do not fit into this sentence because it's mainly about how Mega Lopunny won't be able to function properly with Toxic Spikes up) In return, Dragalge can also OHKO Mega Diancie with Sludge Wave which helps with setting up Mega Latias setting up in the Fairy-type matchup. Mega Altaria love appreciates Dragalge's Toxic Spikes support, this is because it pressures bulky Pokemon like Chansey and Porygon2. This also gives Mega Altaria an easier time to set up and sweep in both the Normal- and the Fairy-type matchups because of Toxic Spikes slowly taking diminishing their health along with being able to take care of Mega Diancie for it. Mega Altaria also helps greatly in the Dark-type matchup with taking care of Mega Sableye to make it easier to leave keep Toxic Spikes down up. Garchomp is the only viable Stealth Rock user that Dragon teams have access to. Stealth Rock pairs well with Dragalge's Toxic Spikes, (AC) as it helps with wearing down Swampert and Greninja on Water teams and wearing down Staraptor on Normal teams so Toxic Spikes can stay down up. It Garchomp can also take on Steel-types that Dragalge struggles with like Heatran and Excadrill. Kommo-o helps greatly in the Steel and Poison matchups, (AC) as Taunt stops Celesteela and Ferrothorn from using Leech Seed, (AC) as well as helping with Pokemon that Dragalge struggles with like Excadrill, Nidoking, (AC) and Toxapex, (AC) and also help Dragalge with Ice-types like Mamoswine because of its Fighting-typing Fighting typing. Kommo-o can omniboost from its Z-move Clanging Scales to take care of most Steel-types like Excadrill and Skarmory with Close Combat and Flamethrower, but Kommo-o struggles against Celesteela and Calm Mind Jirachi. Kyurem-B helps greatly in the Flying matchup, as Dragalge cannot do much because of everything outpacing it, (AC) as well as Mantine soaking up its attacks. With Fusion Bolt, it can take care of Mantine and Celesteela and along with Ice Beam can take taking care of troubling Ground-types like Landorus-T and Hippodown Hippowdon. Kyurem-B can switch in to Greninja, as it can take an Ice Beam and either Roost the damage off or KO it with Fusion Bolt. Latios is a great revenge killer for Dragon teams, as it gives a way to deal with fast Fighting-types like Keldeo and deals with threating set up threatening setup sweepers like Mega Charizard X and Cloyster after they set up once. It is also useful for Defog, as it can get away remove hazards that could hinder Dragalge from tanking an attack and putting out one layer of Toxic Spikes. Dragonite is very useful for Dragon teams, (AC) as its Extreme Speed helps deal with Greninja; one of the biggest threats to Dragon teams as well as being a powerful wallbreaker to break walls like Celesteela, Chansey, (AC) and Toxapex with Fire Punch, Superpower, (AC) and Outrage, (AC) respectfully respectively.

**Steel-types**: Even though Dragalge runs Hidden Power Fire, Steel-types like Heatran, Excadrill, (AC) and Celesteela can easily wall it and either use either their Ground-type attacks or slowly wear Dragalge down to take care of it.

**Faster Attackers**: Pokemon that outpace Dragalge like Landorus, Mega Gallade, (AC) and Alolan Ninetales can easily OHKO Dragalge it (repetition) with their super effective STAB attacks.

**Special Walls**: Walls like Chansey, Celesteela, (AC) and Mantine soak up Dragalge's STAB attacks, are able to use their recovery moves, (AC) and can slowly wear it down with their attacks, (RC) (AP). however However, Chansey has to be wary of Toxic Spikes.

**Steel-types**: Even though if Dragalge runs Hidden Power Fire, Steel-types like Heatran, Excadrill, (AC) and Celesteela can easily wall it and either use their Ground-type attacks or slowly wear Dragalge down to take care of it.

**Faster Attackers**: Pokemon that outpace Dragalge like Landorus, Mega Gallade, (AC) and Alolan Ninetales can easily OHKO it with their super effective STAB attacks.

**Special Walls**: Walls like Chansey, Celesteela, and Mantine soak up Dragalge's STAB attacks, are able to use their recovery moves against it, (AC) and can slowly wear it down with their attacks.
