This team has been my most effective team so far, combining blisteringly offensive sweepers with Dual Screens powering rock-hard defenses. I used to believe Deoxys-S was most effective as a late-game sweeper, but it simply did not pack enough heat in its attacks to take out anything that wasn't 4x weak to its attacks [like Garchomp,Tyranitar, and Gyarados]. I recently found that some were used as starters, which I thought was ridiculous until I tried it out. Dual Screens are amazingly effective
and power an offensive team better than the sweeping variant. I have found offensive CalmCune to be ridiculously powerful, complimenting Garchomps physical sweeping abilities with special sweeping very well. This Metagross variant is amazing at killing off fragile special sweepers like Deoxys and Gar. Everything else is pretty standard; ScarfGar, YacheChomp, and MixApe.

Deoxys-S @ Light Clay
Pressure
Timid
252 HP/ 4 Def/ 252 SpD
-Taunt
-Stealth Rock
-Light Screen
-Reflect
Dual Screen Deoxys is insanely effective at what it does. Stops starters attempting to set up their strategy while setting up Stealth Rocks. Light Clay+Reflect+Light Screen gives my offense based team a ridiculous boost in defenses while they pound away at the opposing team.

garchomp.png

Garchomp @ Yache Berry
Sand Veil
Jolly
6 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
-Swords Dance
-Fire Fang
-Earthquake
-Outrage
Standard YacheSDChomp. Everyone's seen this tons of times. Most YacheChomps survive Ice Beam assaults, but are crippled nonetheless with less than 50% maximum HP. With Reflect, Chomp shrugs off special attacks of all kinds and takes an Ice Beam no problem, allowing it to set up and sweep with ease. Takes ThunderWaves like a champ [which I consider Garchomp's greatest appeal as a superior dragon next to 102 Spe].

suicune.png

Suicune @ Leftovers
Pressure
Timid
100 HP/ 176 Def/ 232 Spe
-Calm Mind
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Hidden Power Electric
Offensive-based CalmCune is a beast. Its awesome defenses are bolstered by Dual Screens, making it even harder to kill. Starmies and Vaporeons have a hard time taking care of a CalmCune under a Light Screen, even with super-effective attacks, while it counters back with a devastating HP Electric. HP Electric picks off Gyarados, who can't put a dent in Suicune's armor without plenty of DD boosts and Stone Edge/Earthquake. 6HP/252SpA/252Spe is an option I'm looking into, in order to OHKO most things. CalmCune has been sweeping almost as well as Garchomp so far, due to a low amount of Thunderpunching and Electivire in the current metagame.

gengar.png

Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Levitate
Modest
6 HP/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Ice
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball
ScarfGar. Outspeeds basically everything, including Deoxys-S with maxed out Speed EVs and a +Spe Nature. Tbolts take care of waters, HP Ice destroys dragons [and is especially effective for killing off ScarfChomp]. Shadow Ball is the strongest Ghost STAB, and Focus Blast rips apart Normals and Steels [also outspeeds and OHKOs DDTar after 2 Dragon Dances].

metagross.png

Metagross @ Lum Berry
Clear Body
Adamant
112 HP/ 184 Atk/ 212 SpD
-Bullet Punch
-Pursuit
-Earthquake
-Explosion
TrapGross. Offensive Gengars, Deoxys-S, and Starmie are utterly destroyed by this monster. Pursuit+Bullet Punch gives Metagross a combination which traps their Poke and destroys it whether it stays in or switches. Explodes after killing one of these three usually [one of these are almost ALWAYS found in a Standard OU team].

infernape.png

Infernape @ Life Orb
Blaze
Naive
24 Atk/ 252 SpA/ 232 Spe
-Hidden Power Ice
-Grass Knot
-Flamethrower
-Close Combat
MixApe. Kills walls, sweeps, etc. HP Ice over Nasty Plot to take down Dragons and Gliscor. Grass Knot kills Swamperts and Flamethrower is chosen over Fire Blast cause if Fire Blast misses, Nape is too fragile to survive an attack.

Uhm...this could be pulled off, as I have seen it before, although he is screwed over by Taunt, and are you really going to sacrifice your Deoxys so he can set up an 8 turn dualscreen?

Again, Outrage seems like a huge Sacrifice. Swords dance is a great boost, I love SD chomp, but he just seems a little broken.

I love CMcune also. He works great, but Phaze can really ruin your day.

Interesting Gengar. Make sure that you can deal enough damage though.

This...this is a MONSTER! I love the whole concept, and it really works to potential.

Standard.

ok... you are weak to opposing Metagross, especially if they are scarved (although it is rare). Overall your weak to the moves Pursuit and Earthquake.

I just thought that i'd throw in my two cents.

I'll edit this post with a full reply later. But, on your suggestions - You can't taunt the fastest pokemon in the game that has taunt. :-D

Ill be back in a minute to edit this post with a full reply on the team

EDIT: like i said, im back to tell you bout this team. One, it is overall good but I was wondering about the Deo-S I like the strategy behind it but here's a few things:

Is deo-s used as a "trick" pokemon to send in on Gyra and the opponent over-predicts a thunderbolt because it is more common from a deoxys-S?

If so deo could get in trouble with Gyrados if it has taunt. Your Deo would probably throw me off completely in a battle and Honestly, I would switch predicting a sweeper. However, if someon finds this deo's strategy out, you could be fucked vs. a Gyrados and I highly suggest setting up Reflect first so Gyra will have to DD twice alowing you to set up Light Screen/Stealth Rocks. Now it's all down to what you do with Deo. Of course, it will Taunt Gyras Taunt/DD first however you'd have to reflect and Waterfall would still kill you if the gyra was life orb and Adamant Nature despite reflect. So ya I like the support Idea of Deo-S and i might see into a copy( being a good idea ) for my offensive teams cause like you said " It's good to set up DualScreen so that my team can pound and still take hits".

Also, since your team is pretty weak on the spD side you will probably set up LS first but to save your Deo for whatever reason( Late Set Up) Do reflect first.

I hope I helped, Kecleon

ROFL yeah!

Agreeing that Timid on Gengar is more effective as you need to outspeed Deoxys in order to eliminate one of your Garchomp's threats, that is if the Yache Berry was already taken down otherwise you can survive an Ice Beam.

I do see some good synergy that could help Garchomp's sweep late-game.

Pretty good and standard team.
