i've found scarf genesect and dugtrio to be a great combo for taking out opposing weather in the rain.
ninetales almost always comes in on genesect so a u turn into dugtrio is an easy trap and kill, the only thing you have to worry about is a burn if dugtrio is coming in on a fire blast or something.
tyranitar also comes in on genesect more than you would expect. a special attack boost will help this even more as ttar comes in to take the special attack and a u turn into dugtrio is an easy trap and kill. Dugtrio can also revenge kill either of them very easily.

and lastly abomasnow is ohko'd by genesects u turn with an attack boost. genesect takes care of the rare hippowdon too, ohko'ing with a sp att boosted ice beam. so together they have perfect super effective coverage against opposing weather starters and they are already great offensive partners.

I think this actually might be really helpful in countering choice-locked Genesect. This set takes some of the burden of predictions/mind games that comes with facing a Genesect. For example, if you have a Gyarados in against a Genesect, it will either U-Turn or Thunder/Thunderbolt. So you keep your Gyarados in and Dragon Dance. If he kills you with Thunderbolt, then you can bring in Dugtrio and prepare to sweep. If he U-Turns, then you got a free Dragon Dance and can prepare to sweep anyway. I think this set does have it's uses if it's able to set up on one of the most common Pokémon in today's metagame.

I prefer Politoed/Dugtrio/Tornadus-T, which I've been using since the start of BW2, because it's very effective at dispatching Torn's few true counters, then going to work on a team. The only things that escape this combination are Bronzong and SDef Rotom-W, both of which aren't especially common.

If by Volt Switch you mean Tornadus-T's U-Turn, then yeah that's also pretty nice. It also allows me to run Focus Blast instead of Superpower because I really don't have to worry about Ttar with Dugtrio on my side.

I've found a good strategy in this metagame to be two or three U-Turn/Volt Switch users, Dugtrio, one or two sweepers, and a weather starter. You really can't go wrong with it. Genesect and Dugtrio alone make such a valuable pair...

I used this to a lot of effect. TO get the most of it though, I feel Dugtrio needs to play Earthquake/StoneEdge (or Reversal/Substitute/Hone Claws, It's really cool when it works, though.
